There is an ingredient called Bynark Shroom that does sound common but it can only be found in mine caves and underwater. After identifying and gathering this item, Lagi continue his studies of its possibilities after gathering as much as he can

Though it is not as strong  as other stamina potions created by masters of alchmey,  Lagi feels as his success and gaining knowledge  of this art and all the more rewarding.

Assignment Overview: Lagi takes the time to collect some newborn pentax in order to farm the new rare plants that he has just cultivated. With the pentax ability of providing seeds of whatever herbivore based diet they find themselves, this would lower the risk of traveling to gather such items if he could grow it himself. Not only would this allow the  Unity corps an insider on some extra potions for the future, this is also the gateway to the start of a new business.
