Being A Fatherly Figure [Job/Solo]

“Excuse me…” A middle aged woman approached Tenma while he was sitting alone on the bench and enjoying his lunch, “Are you an adventurer?”

Tenma quickly observed the middle aged woman and gave her a kind smile, “I’m not quite an adventurer, but maybe I can help you or something?” Being kind to other would let him to establish a secure connection if he need some help in the future, so he had to play along.

The woman quickly explained that she wanted to search for someone who could visit the orphanage to give them some fun, like telling stories or something. Tenma remembered many children being taken care by the orphanage since the recent fighting between Kou and Reim, but he wonder why the kids needed someone else to give them some fun while they have a loving orphanage staff having fun with them every day.

The black haired man could answered his mental question before as he entered the orphanage just to see a bunch of kids who had a very gloomy face plastered on their face, the staff maybe couldn’t handle all of the  kids and thinking that they need a new face to bring the joy to the kids. “Hmm… this is bad… “ Tenma whispered to the woman while continue observing the children with the corner of his eyes, “Yes… the children won’t talk and eat at all…so we are very worried. If you have some interesting story or experience please be kind to share it to the kid, I bet they will be happy again.”

I can play flute for them first… with that thought, Tenma took a flute from his suit’s pocket and began to play it. Tenma let the children to hear a calming melody first before he played a rather fun melody, he could notice the children started to brighten up a little bit. Suddenly a child threw a toy at him while yelling with a glare on his eyes, “Go away you Kou’s dog!”

Tenma caught the toy with his left hand and smiled to the kid who threw the toy, he might look like as someone from Kou because of his attire. “Whoops, I’m not from Kou. I came from the majestic island from east and I want to share my breath taking journey story to all of you.” He paused for a bit and thought that he might have to improvised, “I’ve seen many mysterious places and its majestic creature, like a blue tiger and a liger.” As he noticed the kids’ eyes began to blink with excitement, he teased them for a little bit, “Weellll, if you don’t want to hear about it… I’ll just keep it to myself.” And it made the kids approached him and attacked him with a plea to make him stay and share the story.

Tenma sat down and made the kid surrounded him; some even sat on his lap and climbed his back. “I came from the island where many types all animals were there and even this magnificent blue tiger, I was very interested when I saw it for the first time, thinking that I might be in the other world since I never saw something like that.” One of the kids cut him to ask what the creature look like, “Well, the blue tiger has the same features like a normal tiger, but the different is on their fur, it has gray-blue color and it felt very soft. Hmm… like your soft hair.” Tenma ruffled one of the kid’s hair with a grin on his face and the other kids started to follow him to ruffle the kid’s hair, giving the kid an excited grin too.

Tenma even taught the kids a song and also told them some more interesting stories that he had seen before in his younger days, feeling satisfied as the kids finally showing their cheerful face again. After bidding the head of the orphanage a farewell, Tenma headed back with a contempt smile on his face.
