Another nice day for Tenma as he walked around the city to enjoy the weather when he heard a commotion at the place not far from where he was, the swordsman was curious at what might possibly happen since a man turned out to be crying out loud asking for help. He looked around to see that the civilians were only whispering to themselves, already having enough trouble to add one more. Tenma sighed silently and approached the man; he helped the man to stand up and asked him what had happened.

“I need someone to look after my kids, the maid was sick and no one else could take care of them! I only need two hours of your time, please! I have a very important business meeting after this; if I don’t attend then I will be bankrupt…” The man let out a groan before continue, “Please young man, I’ll pay you!”

The black haired man agreed to look after the kids and quickly headed to the house with the rich man, “I’ll be back in two hours, okay? Until then please look after my kids. Here’s the key to my house and some money to buy candies or something for them and this is a letter that I wrote for them.” And after saying that, he left.

The house was very big and it made Tenma curious about why the man didn’t hire more maids and also wondering where his wife possibly was. Without any further thought, Tenma used the key to get into the house and he could see much expensive furniture placed inside the house. Hanged on the wall was a very big portrait of that rich man and a woman, who possibly was his wife. Judging by the appearance, Tenma thought that the wife might not someone who was cruel enough to left the kids alone, but who knew. He started to explore the house to find the kids, but smiled as he heard a cheerful sound right outside the house; it saved his time to find the children.

Tenma was right to follow the sounds as he found the children was happily playing at the backyard; he quietly approached the kids and surprised them from behind. A very loud scream could be heard after that and Tenma was attacked by the kids’ punches and kicks. “Now, now, your father asked me to look after both of you for a while.” He said slowly to both of the kids and handed the letter to them. He chuckled when the children took the letter and read it; they had same hair color, same height and pretty much look similar to each other even though one was a girl and other was a boy. After gaining the kids’ trust, Tenma kindly introduced himself, “My name is Tenma, nice too meet you all.” And he was replied by the boy, “I’m Hansel and she is Gretel , we are 8 years old twins! But I’m the older one.”

Tenma laughed at the kids and ruffled their hairs, asking them what they want to play. The kids wanted to do so many things but Tenma was willing to do all of them, having fun with the kids was a refreshing time for him. Tenma read them a book, teaching them how to play football and he even offered them to go outside to have some fun. Lucky him, their father give him some money, so they quickly headed to the ice cream stall and buy some ice creams. On their way home, they saw a street performer and decided to watch it, but unfortunately the kids fell asleep. Tenma saw the kids with a kind smile and carried them all the way the house where the rich man had been waiting outside, looking relieved.

“I’ve been waiting… thank you for your help. You see… both of these angels lost their mother after they were born… so they are kinda lonely.” Tenma handed the kids to their father and let him carry the children, the man gave him some cash and went inside the house right away, feeling grateful for Tenma’s help.
