Back Home [Travel Reim to Plains]

Lexiara and Onyx loaded onto the boat, Leonitus prowling between them like an overprotective bodyguard. The tiger had no objections to boats, though the Captains often objected to him. The siblings immediately made their way below the deck, not wanting to make any other passengers or sailors nervous with the presence of the large beast. They had agreed to stay in the cargo hold rather than in a room so that Leo would not be left alone. Lexi had enjoyed her short time in Reim, but she was looking forward to getting home again. She missed the rolling plains and hoped she and Onyx would be able to find their tribe quickly.

The boat juddered as it bumped against the dock, jostling Leo and Lexi awake. Onyx was already on the deck, his tail wagging happily when Lexi came up with her tiger. They did not have many belongings, just a large bag for each of them. They rested the bags on the back of the tiger, who accepted being a pack mule without complaint, happy to assist his adopted mother in any way he could. Stepping onto the dock, the flurry of activity had them moving quickly to get out of the way of everyone. It would be several days of walking before they could even begin to hope to track where their tribe had moved to in their absence, but the siblings were more than happy to have the time together after too long apart.
