Altair packed up his things from the inn and headed for the docks. Today was finally the day that he would set out for the Plains south of Magnostadt. He was excited to see everyone again, and tell them about his adventures. He could see his mother and father again for the first time in years. But there was one glaring problem with going home. Technically, Altair was exiled. He was not allowed to return to the Loros tribe, by order of his uncle. If he were to return, he could face swift judgement, or even death. But Altair wouldn't allow that to happen. Altair had the power of a dungeon with him. He had the true lineage and right to rule. Nothing was going to stop him from taking back his rightful place. And his plans exceeded even that. Not only would Altair take back the leadership of his tribe, he would move to unite the tribes under a single banner. He would stop the needless bloodshed happening in the east, and keep his people safe. And then there was what he would do afterwards. Altair had begun thinking up plans for a great city, not dissimilar from Remano, as the center of his Kingdom. A well fortified city, where people from all over could come and be welcome. Most importantly, This would be the city in which slaves could run to. They would turn none away, and keep watch for any slave traders that came into their lands. The people of the plains were very kind. They would accept these homeless people into their families, and help them rebuild their lives. No one would be left behind. The people would be ruled by a benevolent Sovereign.
The trip by boat took about two months to get to a port near Magnostadt. The trip was quick, with very few disturbances, and with good weather and a nice headwind the whole way. Altair took it as a good omen. From here, it would take about a week's journey to get to where the Loros tribe would be this time of year. Altair set off at once, almost running the whole first and second day. As he got closer, he began to see the Shepherds of the Loros tribe out tending the fields. He remembered those days when he did exactly that. And finally, on the fifth day, Altair made it home.
