Smoke, Poisons and Bombs (Vodarara, Training, Solo)

Vodarara had three bomblets to work on the first would be a toxic poisonous type bomblet, it would carry the heads of spore filled fungi inside, these spores could cause reasonable irritation to something that had them enter there orifices or into injuries and cuts, the fungi should also be relatively hard to avoid if someone got caught in their cloud.

The mechanism for spraying the spores had to be carefully designed you didn’t want to incinerate the spores but you also wanted to shatter the casing, the casing was made out of bone it needed to be brittle enough but also strong enough.

Vodarara would hollow out the bomb casing and using a similar set up as to his sonic arrow heads, use a pressure wave to shatter the casing this with its pressure under momentum and fragments of bone should cause the fungi to spread their spores in to the air.

It would be good for the cloud to be hard to see, it would be interesting to see how humanoids picked it up if they noticed it as well as animals should.

Animals keener senses commonly lead them to notice things far quicker and more efficiently than humanoids, thus he imagined if he needed to he could rather frustrate larger slower creature by launching it into their face, where as a humanoid may not even suspect a thing.

Vodarara would proceed to test the bomblet in till he had perfected the design, mixing time in till detonation and how easily it broke or shattered.

After some while he would finally make the Venom Bomb, upon detention spreading out fungi spores into a small radius before they would be dissipated, the explosion light but enough to shatter its casing.

The second bomblet he would work on during this process was a rapid burning smoke bomb, the design for this was to allow either the ability to block some sight at the target prey, that Vodarara was fight or to allow him to at least disrupt his line during combat allowing for ease of escape.

Wet and damp plant matter commonly burned smokely far better than dried material, but dried material is what was wanted to decent fires.

The casing was around two inches in diameter, unlike the Venom bomb it would be another cracker type like the venom bomb but this one would ignite a burn rather than a pressure wave, the casing was also different to the venom bomb this casing was made from wood, within this wood there was small fine holes put through numerous holes across the whole bomblet.

Within the bomblet there was a mixture of different waxy plants that would burn producing high volumes of smoke, the smoke would then flood out of the bomblet through its holes consuming an area around the bomblet, in theory at least should it be completed properly, it was just changing different plants out for testing methods.

Vodarara proceeded to test out different types of Smoke Bombs, each with different colourations coming out and different speeds and rate of burn out, the final smoke bomb design would come down to the most suitable coloration and burn time, the smoke from the bomblet would be a whitey grey smoke, designed to try to match the environment Vodarara hunted as much as possible.

He hoped it would prove useful at least after days of work.

His final bomblet for now would be a more defensive type, the bomblets so far had not been true highly explosive type bomblets but rather designed for surprise and escape.

There wouldn’t always be time to draw an arrow back and fire it for intercepting and arrows could somewhat take more time to create as well as being far more resource intensive than small bomblets made up of materials that could easily be gathered in larger numbers.

Bow shafts had to be perfect and Vodarara used mostly bone to make his arrows, where as he could use different type of wood for most of these bomblet idea’s he had running around his head like a wildfire.

Vodarara never used metals in anything, he preferred to avoid them, in this weather and area you wanted something that you could easily repair or replace but out in the ice expanses something could break and then you wouldn’t be able to repair it.

Thus why he relied on the environment for everything he had, hoarding anything he thought would be of use storing them all across the ice plains, in caves and snow pits.

Vodarara mixed in a fine black powder, using a pestle and mortar to slowly crush down pellets into a powder form, this was poured into the casing, once the casing was partially filled he sealed it with a waxy gel, this would hold it together like the other three he had decided to make it another burn cracker type.

It would take time to perfect the explosion as he pelleted them one after another at hardened object to see which would perform best, making adjustments after that.
