Vodarara looked at his Kukri, an elegant bone blade, steeled white sleek and fine a weapon designed to hack away flesh from the target, rather than being a tool for skinning or harvesting the meat, it was something that could be drawn to handle the melee combat and wage combat with a blade in combat.

A sleek weapon that would aid in severing the target, the weapon was designed to sleekly carve flesh, though items made of bone required careful care, if you treated them badly they would turn on you and become unworkable when you most needed it.

Vodarara had mostly come up with this to use against humanoid threats rather than animals, there were being whom were far faster than he on his feet, he needed a way to clash with them with weapons if they were able to close him and force him into that melee, though it was something that needed improving it was only a prototype at this point.

There was also other things that he still needed to work on, the weather was turning and he was waiting for the next animal turnover and migration of the main prey species herds, during this time he could either follow the other’s or he could wait in position, to allow for a herd to recover it was best to leave them alone and wait for the other herds as animals moved around the regions.

He would begin working with a mixture of plants and herbs, the witch had used other compounds he had once seen but that was a long time ago.

Vodarara would sit over his pan for days slowly mixing and working with the plants slowly testing there efficiently and potency, of course when mixing poisons you had to be careful any of them could have a dangerous effect and one mistake could easily lead to death or sever injury.

He would slowly work it with a pestle in a mortar slowly breaking down the matter slowly extracting compounds from plant life that carried weak poisons to protect themselves, the other options would be to hunt down some venomous animal and take their glands, glands from some creatures could fetch interesting values, it would be a wonder to think what some people could use venom glands for but then there was a mixture of uses other than offing someone that you had begun to dislike, some of the compounds you could mix up from them where interesting not to say the least.

Any layer that one would place on a weapon needed to be sticky and hold on it would be no use for it to fling and flick off in combat, it could end up anywhere.

Vodarara would also work with designs that implemented similar things to his more explosive arrow heads, if it was necessary he would prefer to run if he had to sometimes, others may call him cowardly but there is no point fighting a battle you can’t win and you can never leave your back to an enemy.

By time his learning and designing was over he had come up with designs or at least idea’s for small explosive devices and sticky poisons that could be stored and used in some form in combat.

It would take time however to perfect each design, but he needed to return to management for a small while for now.
