You had sent out a letter some time ago to the Homeland of Kou for several documents outlining basic information on those who are to be respected within the Kou Empire. This included military, nobility and merchants of high standing, as well as other noteworthy individuals that had known pull within the courts. Having read over this information, you take note of the differences from what you had learned when training directly under the Spymaster for the nation, Takahashi Sato. There aren't many, but you have learned of others that your previous standing within the nation did not allow you to be aware of. That was of small consequence, however, as your investigation reports from Kou had also brought to you documents detailing your head staff members of your organization.

After having read over the information for Aurelius Junius, you turn in for the night... Only to be attacked by assassins that came along for the boat ride from Kou!

After the prior day of facing up against assassins and slaying them. You inspect the inn you are staying at, and the local outlaying areas in order to determine how they had attacked you. Finding that they had retrieved the keys from the landlord silently, you instead decide to move to another inn that doesn't have a key hole for the lock. Once there, you read up on Aulus Ovidius. The next day, when you go down stairs to enjoy a breakfast meal, you are attacked by more assassins.

Sanada had made his escape, and the inn was no longer a safe place to stay. Cursing the individual who sent these assassins after you, and knowing that you were being followed/watched, you decide to make your way to another inn and set up a trap. After reading the details of Lucanus Albinus's background, you pretend to turn in for the night. This time, however, you await the arrival of the assassins in the hope that you would be able to capture them alive and find out their movements.

Your attempt to gain information from the prior two assassins ended in failure, and as such you continue your movement to another inn. Your next set of files are for Acius Maximus. Rumored to be a genius with logistics, and by far the leadership operative you have known the longest. You have saved his file for last. Just before you have an opportunity to read those files, however, the assassin that got away and another assassin come by to attempt to take your life. Defeat them, and learn the ultimate purpose behind the assassination attempts...
