Name: Fu Bo Sung (Aurelius Junius)
Nationality: Kou
Race: Human
Age + Birthdate: 38, 15|12
Gender: Male
Hair Color: Black
Eye Color: Brown
Height: 190 cm
Weight: 90 kg
Appearance:
While Fu Bo Sung is not a particularly skilled fighter, he has gone through the required military duty from age 16 to age 25, and maintains a good physique. Not nearly as toned as his military days, Fu Bo Sung still has a visible set of abs. His style of clothing since moving over to Reim has been mostly middle class Reim clothing, however the slow trickle of Kou influence began to make it less suspicious for a member of the nation to own Kou clothing. He does not have any visibly noteworthy features, but there is a scar from where he was stabbed by a nomad during his military stint when he was younger.

Personality Assessment:
Fu Bo Sung is a serious individual, who takes pride in the work he does as well as the work he oversees. He is the kind of individual who would look five steps ahead while considering what to do. As the leader of an integral part of Kou Operations, the weight of the lives of many rest on his shoulders. This is a weight he seems to carry willingly, and one that he is not afraid to share with members of his team. Fu Bo Sung's work has shown him to often look at the big picture when making considerations, and is almost always open to ideas from others in order to create fresh perspectives while he contemplates matters.

Shogi, Chess, and Go are all games he enjoys as a pastime. Fu Bo Sung is fairly skilled at the games, and is able to compete on a regional level. Since he has only ever played as a hobby, he has not honed his skills to the necessary level to challenge national players, or so it is believed.

The willingness to rely on others to cover your weaknesses is something that Fu Bo Sung has shown appreciation for in any individual in their line of work. He respects those who realize their limitations and react to those limitations appropriately.

Fu Bo Sung does not approve of overconfident soldiers and operatives. These types are the most likely to endanger others on missions, and could very well cause a muck up of an otherwise perfectly planned operation. His distaste for such individuals has been noted not only in regards to spy operations, but military operations as well.

Brief synopsis on history:
Fu Bo Sung is the son of a merchant family. The family itself makes a modest living with their textile goods, not being extremely rich or extremely poor. While growing up, his father taught Fu Bo Sung the basics for taking on the family's business. While he did learn quite a bit from his family, it has been learned that Fu Bo Sung never showed much interest it the family business. This was, in part, shown through his focus on hobby games such as Shogi.

When he turned 16 years of age, he was sent to the military academy where he learned for two years the art of soldiering, including honing his body to prepare it for what was ahead, as well as the terminology and orders that he would possibly obtain when going to war. Once his training was complete, he was sent out to the front lines under the newly promoted General, General Hei Lu. Hei Lu was known to be a strict military professional, and a General of high potential. It was here that the Soldier Fu Bo Sung first met what he would consider a long-time friend, Lieutenant Qing Bao Yu.

During the next five years Fu Bo Sung fought under the skillful guidance of General Hei Lu. He quickly found his passion in life when he was promoted to 100-man commander. The opportunity to plan out strategies and tactics while executing them successfully on the battlefield livened Fu Bo Sung with a possessed determination. Just when his term was coming to an end Lieutenant Qing Bao Yu offered him a position as a staff member of the military, and Fu Bo Sung accepted.

The last eight years of his life has been spent working alongside Lieutenant Qing Bao Yu (Operative name Acius Maximus). Fu Bo Sung is currently using an operative name as well (Aurelius Junius) until such a time that Reim has come under full assimilation with Kou. He is now working as the Project Manager for Kou Operations in Reim.

Garret considered the file for a moment, thinking on what he had read. Aurelius knew Acius for quite some time, it seemed. He began to wonder. Just how many of the other leadership members had such an involved past with each other? Shaking his head, Garret threw the document into the fire. He had spent the entire morning and a better part of the evening going over important individuals from Kou that held any type of political power or importance in general within the Kou empire. While he already knew a majority of the information, there were a few new individuals that he now had access to information on that he hadn't had when receiving training from Spymaster Takahashi Sato.

The day had already set, and Garret was interested in getting some rest. He was not within his HQ Villa, as he did not want these documents to be seen by the other leadership members at the HQ. As such, he was ensuring that he was reading and memorizing important information as he went.

Garret put on his night clothing, getting under the blankets and turning in for the night. He allowed the darkness to slowly take him, falling to sleep with ease. This sleep would not, however, be a peaceful one for long. Two thuds on his Borg woke him up, and Garret jumped up in his bed. His wand, Kuroi Shimo, wasn't in ready reach. Garret quickly assessed the situation; there were two men in his room, and the door was closed. One man was at each side of his bed, albeit out of immediate reach, and created a triangle between the points of where they were standing and where Garret was crouching on top of the bed. Garret immediately jumped forward, over to the one on his right, using River Styx Style: Water Falls in Reverse to close the gap.

As he did this there were two more darts that shot out. Garret knew his Borg could still take more of a hit, but failed to realize that the new 'darts' were not meant to harm him. It was at the point when the non-pointed darts broke upon striking Garret's skin. The darts themselves were fragile things, holding a paralysis poison, which had bypassed Garret's Borg. The two Blow Dart Assassins had used Paralyzing Dart, making Garret's arms useless even as he landed in front of the first one...

Even without his hands to use, Garret was a dangerous foe to make. They had managed to make his arms numb enough that he could not perform any techniques with his hands, but that did not stop Garret from attacking with his legs and feet. He immediately sent out a kick, using River Styx Style: Water Corrosion. The force of the kick sent the man flying backwards towards the side desk by the door, and the Blow Dart Assassin cracked his skull on the edge of the desk.

Garret turned towards the other man, who prepared his blowdart and shot at Garret for the third time. The blow struck Garret's Borg even as Garret closed the distance between the two. When he was right next to the man, Garret sent out a River Styx Style: Crescent Whirlpool, crushing the man's skull with a crescent kick that planted the Blow Dart Assassin's face straight into the floor.

Garret let out a sigh. Where did these assassins come from..? The door was supposed to be locked. I'll have to investigate. He considered the situation he was in for a moment, looking at the window to his room that looked over the streets below. The window itself was locked, and it did not seem to have been tampered with. Garret walked back over to the bodies on the floor, and moved them with his foot. It was at this point that his arms had begun to recover from the paralysis.

Good. I need to hurry and check the rest of the building. But first, I should get Kuroi Shimo... He was beginning to feel the tingle of sensation at his fingertips, and he turned from the dead bodies back towards the dresser that held his wand.

Just then the door creaked open ever so slightly. The sound was enough to cause a sudden start inside Garret. He turned on the spot, facing the door and preparing himself for another dangerous encounter...

Just as he had finished spinning around in place, another assassin jumped through the door. He stepped over the dead body of his comrade and immediately turned to look towards Garret. A blade shot out from above his fist; it was a hidden blade that many assassins used, and Garret quickly recalled the weapon that Lagi El Nagi used in his fight against Azix. Garret's feeling in his hands finally came back, and he felt that he could move them, albeit sluggishly. He paid careful attention to the Bladed Assassin before him, taking a good look at not only the movements but the telltale signs of various hidden equipment that he may have upon his person. At the same time, the assassin made a similar assessment to Garret.

There was but a moment of time for this assessment to take place before the two charged towards each other. Garret's main focus was to dodge the various slashes made towards him. A strike to his face was dodged as Garret moved his head to the right. It was soon followed up with another slash to Garret's new position, and he weaved his head to the left. At the same time, Garret stepped back with his right foot, providing a smaller opportunity for a target while simultaneously narrowly dodging the Bladded Assassin's downward stroke. Garret did not believe his arms were back up to stuff as of yet, and could not trust them to move fast enough to harm the assassin. In fact, he was certain that the assassin's blade would end up harming his hands and arm if he attempted a normal technique.

The assassin did not let up. He continued to pressure Garret, taking advantage of the fact that he was still recovering from the Paralyzing Darts that had been used earlier on the Spymaster. The individual was very skilled. While the attacks were not yet landing upon Garret, the Bladed Assassin was slowly cornering the magician. At first, it was Garret's goal to reach his wand, Kuroi Shimo, but the man seemed to know what he was attempting to do and was actively keeping Garret from getting back to the dresser. It wasn't until the Bladed Assassin performed a horizontal slash towards him that Garret would find a new opportunity. He ducked under the slash and dashed past the man and towards the door.

Garret had analyzed the situation and understood that if he had attempted to instead use that opportunity to turn his back to the assassin and grab his wand he would likely have a heavy wound upon his body. Instead, Garret hoped that the assassin would come at him as he tried to make a move out. As expected, the assassin immediately turned as Garret dashed past him. It confirmed to Garret that the goal was his life and not any of his belongings. Dashing out of the door before the man could reach him, Garret hurried down the stairs and into the Inn's lounge/dinning room. The fire had long since died out, and the cool night air permeated in the room. Garret felt his sweat turn cold as he stood in the center of several tables which had the chairs resting on the top of them for the night. The Bladed Assassin had descended as well. "I don't suppose you would tell me who had sent you, would you?" The assassin said nothing, instead lunging towards Garret in an attempt to thrust his blade into Garret with a Baleful Strike.

Garret's arms still felt sluggish, but he forced his hand to move regardless. If he didn't, then the attack would certainly come to harm him... As his hand moved up and he attempted to perform a River Styx Stylized block he found he was too slow. The attack struck his Borg. The blow was strong enough to be the final strike needed to destroy the Borg, but Garret gave thanks to the strength of it anyway. It was strong enough to completely negate the attack that was made against him. Garret wasted no time from what he had gained from that moment, and dashed behind a table. He continually attempted to flex his arms, hoping that the blood flow would dilute whatever poison was traveling through his body enough to allow him to use those arms to their full potential. Normally, he would have been concerned about whether or not such poison was meant to kill him. Due to his more immediate danger, coupled with the fact that the effects seemed to be wearing off, he threw that caution to the side and believed it to be one of the simpler poisons out there.

For a brief half minute, the Magician and the Bladed Assassin circled the table, keeping an equal distance between themselves. Garret wanted to laugh at the childish stalling tactic he was using, and he was certain that the assassin was frustrated at what he was doing. This belief would shortly change as the Assassin ducked underneath the table and charged towards Garret while staying ridiculously low to the floor. Garret jumped back, pulling one of the chairs that were sitting on top of the table down as he did so. This chair landed on top of the assassin, causing him a moment of disorientation. Garret used this time to throw more chairs down from the top of another table towards the assassin. No visible damage was done, as the assassin simply held his arm out and deflected the wood as it came to him. Garret climbed on top of the table and stood in the center, awaiting the assassin to join him on that stage. Once the Bladed Assassin had recovered from the annoyances that Garret had thrown his way, he jumped onto the ends of the chair legs which were lying on the floor, flying through the air with these jumps and aiming to land on the same table that Garret was currently standing on.

Garret aimed his timing for the moment the Bladed Assassin would land on the table and sent out a River Styx Style: Sea's Horizion. The roundhouse kick came shooting out towards the man, but it seemed that he suspected such a trick was to be used when he arrived, and he was already ready to defend against the technique with a Hidden Jutte, redirecting the attack directly into the table...

The table made a loud crashing noise, and began to split as Garret's foot had landed on it. The Bladed Assassin Jumped back and off of the table at that point, as he did not want to fall from the portion of the table that was breaking off. Garret, on the other hand, continued to stand on the table as the portion that fell off was only an outer piece. Garret's opponent dashed beneath the table and began piercing his blade up from below. All that Garret could do was lift his feet up and continuously dodge the blades coming up from beneath. Every time he set his foot down, the sound that came from it was enough to give the assassin an idea where it had landed, and therefore an idea of where to attack next.

Neither the spymaster nor the assassin knew that, just at the edge of a hallway, the proprietor was watching the fight. During the scuffle, he had been awoken, and the man had trouble believing what he saw. There was no way that he was going to get in between the two men who were fighting, especially considering one of them had a blade and was obviously aiming to kill the other. The old man could only watch in dismay as his Inn was torn apart, and hope that the other patrons didn't wake up from all of the commotion. He wanted to make a move to go and contact the guards, but knew that if he made a run for it at that point in time that he would be spotted.

Garret continued his tussle with the man, jumping from the heavily damaged table over to another table. As the Bladed Assassin attempted to follow him, Garret continued to throw chairs at the man. His arms and hands had regained full functionality, with his fingers regaining their full range of movement. Garret knew that at this point he would be able to take the assassin on if he could only catch the man off guard. To do so, Garret would need to feign the inability for him to have the capacity to use his arms and hands effectively. His supplies of chairs were up, and the assassin attempted the same tactic as before, keeping the table between himself and Garret.

Without giving him much chance, Garret jumped off of the table and ran over to the half broken table, flipping it over in order to use it as a giant shield of sorts and delay his opponent from reaching him. The man vaulted over the table and continued to stab at Garret, who moved left and right while dodging the attacks. When he could, Garret attempted to displace and impair the movement of his assailant by grabbing nearby chairs as he retreated and placing them in front of himself to create a new barrier that the Bladed Assassin had to get through. To create a strong ruse, he intentionally did so in a clumsy manner without the use of his fingers, falsely betraying that he had not yet obtained full functions of his arms.

The ruse was only semi-effective, as the assassin seemed to increase the intensity at which he came at Garret. Garret worked hard to keep up with the new pace, but he was already working hard to simply deal with the assassin's speed from before. Garret originally wanted to make his way back upstairs so that he could get his wand, and was slowly backing up into that direction, however the clever movements of the assassin kept directing him slightly away from the stairs. Eventually Garret was backed up, close to the wall, but instead moved to the hallway that was next to the stairs...

The old man, frightened to death of the fight taking place within the Inn had curled up in a ball and was unaware of exactly how close he was to the two fighters. Fear wracking his body, he shivered and nearly jumped in fright as he felt somebody's legs collide with him. Above, he heard someone curse. "Shit." As the unknown man fell, tripped up by the Inn owner's placement in the hallway...

Garret had hit an unexpected snag. It seemed their scuffle had made enough noise to bring an onlooker to the fray. A large negative to not looking where you were going was the fact that it became incredibly easy to trip up on environmental issues. Garret cursed as he fell, upset that he hadn't been more aware of his surroundings, and he caught a glance at who it was that he had tripped over; the old man who was running the inn. "RUN! GET OUT OF HERE, YOU OLD FOOL!" Garret shouted at the man, even as he fell. Garret recalled Azix. If it were Azix, he would definitely save the old man from the Inn. A brief memory flashed through his mind as he recalled how he resolved himself to not simply stand by when those he was sworn to protect were in need of help in front of him.

Knowing that any witnesses would be silenced by assassins, and not wanting an innocent man to have to suffer such a fate, Garret immediately quit pretending to be unable to use his arms. When he fell to the ground, he executed an Ukemi and got back on his feet at an incredible speed. Without missing a beat, Garret used that same momentum to execute his River Styx Style: Water Falls in Reverse, kicking him off the ground and sending him flying towards the wall just above the old man. When he got near that wall, he followed up with another kickoff from that wall towards the Bladed Assassin. Garret was approximately 2 meters off the ground as he executed a technique Hasan had taught him, River Styx Style: Deep Sea Plunge. The axe-kick used the heel of Garret's foot to crash down on the Bladed Assassin's head. Still, however, the assassin was a step ahead. Using Hidden Jutte, the assassin deflected the strike, planting Garret's foot back down to the floor. Simultaneously, the man used his Balanced Blade, creating two strikes that had cut through Garret's flesh and sunk into his body.

Garret grunted, still holding firm to his resolve he had grasped earlier, and gathered magoi into his right arm. He immediately thrust it forward, piercing the Bladed Assassin with his River Styx Style: Ikken Hissatsu: Deep Sea Harpoon. The technique went straight into the man, and pierced the assassin's heart...

Garret was bleeding from the wound on his chest, and the old owner from the Inn stood up and looked at the dead assassin. "You... You killed him... And you're bleeding." The old man was a bit dumbfounded as to all that had occurred in that short period of time, and it showed in his stating of the obvious.

Garret shook his head. "This... Is nothing. I'll go get the money... To cover the damages... From my room." He began heading up to the top of the stairs, and the old man followed him, worried and not believing that he was okay at all. When they got to the room, Garret had made his way to his dresser. He grabbed a pouch filled with gold coins, as well as his Royal Dragon fan, and handed the man more than enough to pay for the damages. "Don't worry, I'll be gone soon..." Garret began to fan himself, pouring Magoi into the object.

The old man caught a glimpse of the fan and looked at the gold, gulped, and then looked back up at Garret. He quickly left the room and ran downstairs, putting the gold away, and then ran to find a healer. The old man realized, now that he had time to think on the matter, alongside the fine object that his patron held and the money he had available to him, that his patron was an important guest who had almost been assassinated in his inn. Heck, the wound could possibly end up finishing the deal.

Shortly after the man had left the room, the Royal Dragon Fan had obtained enough magoi to create and form Desceld, Gold Dragon's Blessing. The creature melded into his body and slowly began to heal Garret. The spymaster still needed to find the details on how the man had gotten there. After grabbing Kuroi Shimo as well, he would go down the stairs shortly to begin his investigation, physically exhausted...
