Everyone here calls me Neo. I role-play two characters on this site: Adrastos Thanatos and Vavantine. I recently graduated from high school and am trying to figure out my place in the world and what makes me happy. As of now, writing makes me happy, along with playing games with friends. I started role-playing on this site two years ago, about the time I was tired of a previous site and how the staff treated me as an individual. Since then I’ve made it my personal goal to become the first PC villain and acquire a Dark Metal Vessel, a task not many sought to pursue when I joined. Eventually, I did become the site’s Plot Mod, with power as a Graphics Mod and Creations Mod, under Yaku’s adminship. Now that Yaku is wanting to step down, I figured I’d throw my name in the hat so to speak. I’ve ran sites before as both an admin and co-admin, but none of them have been such like this site. So, I’m hoping I have what it takes despite my period of inactivity and whatnot.
I have been very interested in the interests of the community, though I may not have asked publicly, I have asked a few members about what they potentially disliked about the site right now and have been trying to think of ways to not only make the site enjoyable for new members but make it somewhat comfortable for veteran players as well. Let’s get down to business; I’ll list a few ideas I’ll try to implement during my adminship if the community chooses me.

I do not have designated times for when I want to read, write, or draw, or need to look at jobs, scholarships, or colleges. So there will be times I'm unavailable. But I'll get back to you whenever I can.
STAFF POSITIONS
The staff positions will remain unchanged with the exception of the possible addition of country moderators and the removal of the graphics mods. Two Co-Admins/Global Moderators will be chosen from the current pool of staff.
General Duties:These are things that all members of staff have authority to do.
-Approve purchases
-Grant Huang Rewards
-Work on dungeon/plot/system suggestions in the staff section
Administrator:Admin for short, this position is in charge of handling various background system tasks and managing the other staff positions. It is a leadership role that can make executive decisions in the event other staff members are in disagreement with each other.
-Responsible for updating user groups
-Settles disputes
-Enacts and retracts bans as necessary
-Creates, moves, edits, and removes forum boards
-Updates site details only accessible from the ACP(Admin Control Panel) such as widgets.
-Can perform the same tasks as all other staff positions.
Co-Admin/Global Moderator:A position that is merely a single step down from admin. The only difference is that they do not have access to the ACP.
-Responsible for updating user groups
-Settles disputes
-Enacts and retracts bans as necessary
-Creates, moves, edits, and removes forum boards
-Can perform the same tasks as all other staff positions
Creation Moderator:A creation mod is responsible for approving and denying all general applications members fill out.
-Grades characters
-Grades Abilities
-Grades Items/Equipment
-Grades Jobs
Plot Moderator:This position is one of the few that lacks many moderation permissions on the forum that most other positions have. They are responsible for controlling NPCs and managing world plot events.
-RP as NPCs to interact with players using both the Solomon's Proxy account as well as unique accounts for important NPCs if Country Mods are unable
-Work together with members to generate interesting plot developments
-Generate plot events that tie into and result from existing player actions.
-Create & DM dungeons.
Country Moderator:his position is one of the few that lacks many moderation permissions on the forum that most other positions have. They are responsible for controlling NPC world leaders and managing country plot events.
-RP as NPCs to interact with players using unique accounts for important NPCs
-Work together with members to generate interesting plot developments
-Generate country plot events that tie into and result from existing player actions.
Community Moderator:A position focused on interacting with and monitoring the members of the forum. Their responsibilities are centered around keeping the community alive and strong.
-Holds activity checks once a month
-Maintains a regular presence within the chat box and Discord Server to greet new members and interact with current members
-Keeps an eye on member behaviors and reports concerning/troubling news
-Runs advertisement events
-Runs OOC events
-Posts OOC discussion threads
News Moderator:An unsung hero of the mod team. This staff position keeps tabs on the threads of members and keeps the forum up to date on things happening around the world in-character.
-Reads new threads and plot planning
-Reports new developments to plot moderators in the staff section
-Generates news reports for each region detailing public information members could reasonably obtain IC without having to do so in a thread
-Runs ad event
POSSIBLE SYSTEM REVISIONS
System Clarification:Some people have found the systems unclear. To be specific, there needs to be some clarification regarding traits and the rukh system. I will make sure that each system is looked at and if there is any confusion with wording, then it will be fixed.
Training Word Counts For Magic:Magicians will be subject to word counts in order to learn a new magic type and any combination magic they wish to learn in the future. The reason for this is because nobody can just know how to do something. Magic types must be learned, just like spells and non-magic class abilities.
Magi:In the past, Magi had 600 magoi and had access to all magic types whereas their weaker counterparts, the magicians, had 350 magoi at Ω-Tier since they were considered “human” and access to only three magic types. There was also the difference in the amount of abilities a Magi had compared to a magician. However, now, there is no system pertaining to the magi like there used to be. (

Given that the magician’s magoi pool reaches 480 at Ω-Tier, 560 if they got the A-Tier magoi trait, and they have access to all spells, then there’s little difference between the magi and magicians now, other than the amount of spells they can use. We can’t double the amount of magoi a magi has compared to a magician, because they’d have way too much magoi. I was thinking about halving the cost of their spells, but perhaps that’s a bit too much as well. I’ll need to discuss with the other staff members to come up with a fair and sensible magi system.
Fate’s Fortune:Not many Ω-Tier characters use the Fate’s Fortune shop. New items or rewards will be presented in the shop to entice the Ω-Tier characters to utilize the shop more.
Country Page Updates:Each country page will be updated, along with at least a simple map of the country's borders and capital are located. There will even be a population census to show how many people are in each country.
POTENTIAL PLOTS
Previous plot lines that may have been forgotten will be continued, such as the official transition of government policies in Reim, expansion on the tensions of Reim and Heliohapt in response to the actions of a previous player, and Balbadd possibly having future ties with the Contractor since he abandoned Emperor Gao Yuan Zu.
DISCORD CHAT
I will be introducing Discord as another form of communication for the community. Members and staff will be able to chat without worry of being disconnected, error of the forum chat box not working, or the forum being down. The Discord Server, which has already been made, will feature different text channels to keep everything more organized, and voice channels to talk with other members or staff. Discord easier than Skype and more organized as well, making it perfect for the community that Magi has become. This will not, however, get rid of the forum’s chatbox.
FORUM APPEARANCE
A new banner will be placed, replacing the current one. Also, I plan on having a census of the site in the sidebar showing how many active males, females, Imuchakk, humans, Fanalis, and magicians there are, though given the amount of code involved, it will take awhile if it’s ever done.

Naval Systems:With the introduction of the Open Seas and players potentially using the Open Seas as Julius wants to, it provides an option for another system that could include the following:
Naval Combat System: Sea warfare can sometimes be common, especially if countries had a navy or people wish to build a fleet of ships. A combat system designed for the Open Seas would be implemented, similar to the land combat system we know, but on a different scale of course. Naval Prices: As with weapons, animals, and mundane items, ships and their accessories will have a cost according to their respective tier. Of course, there are many different types of ships, ranging from the smallest fishing boat to the largest warship.
This is an unknown factor and won’t be worked on until any and all kinks with the current systems has been hashed out.
Additional Canon Countries:The countries of Sasan, Parthevia, Artemyra, Aktia, and Kina could potentially be added to the site to provide a wider range of locations to visit and explore. NPC leaders will be selected and have a form filled out.
