Mon had awoken with a start as he heard the sound in the distance it was unmistakably the sound of an avalanche. As he rushed outside to check on what happened he asked around about what caused the avalanche or where it hit. Finally he heard the sound of shouting. A man came running in "Help a child is stuck in the mountains due to the avalanche." he cried "Why was there a child up there." Mon asked as he rushed up to the man "They where some friends of mine and where only up there hiking." the man explained. "Well where are the parent's." Mon asked the man grimaced "The father is dead, and the mother was grievously injured." the man explained. "Well how the hell did they get down with out the child." Mon asked wondering how they know where the parents are but the kid is still on the mountain. "According to what we could get out of the child's mother they had some how managed to hide the girl away in one of the caves just before the avalanche hit." the man told Mon who shook his head and told the man he would go get the child before leaving though the man insisted that Mon take the materials for a fire and some wolf meat Mon accepted these and left. After running as fast as he could for around 15 minutes Mon came to the base of the mountain, as he made out the direction the avalanche came from he began his climb. The air bit at his exposed flesh and if it wasn't for the fact he was an Imuchakk he would probably of froze to death by now. It took him nearly two hours but as he reached a small plateau Mon lifted himself up and after catching his breath began searching for a cave. He searched for nearly an hour of tirelessly digging through snow and his hands where slowly starting to show the signs of frost bite but he finally broke through the snow and uncovered a relatively small cave he could here the light sound of sobbing as he entered the cave "Hello." he called out his voice bouncing off the walls. The crying ceased after that and he could hear the sound of shuffling feet walking in his direction "*sniff* Hello." a small timid voice called out, from a little ways into the cave. Mon sighed in relief. 'Good she's still alive.' He thinks, but when she finally got into the light he could see she wasn't in the best of shape. Her face was pale like the rest of her and she was clearly shivering up a storm "It's okay I was sent to get you off this mountain." Mon said trying to make her perk up "How come my parents didn't come back *sniff* they said they would come back and get me." she said still in her quiet voice. Mon couldn't help but feel sad for her 'She doesn't know.' he thought as he pulled out the stuff for a fire. "Well they couldn't get back up." He half lied as he began striking to pieces of flint together as he tries to start a fire "So they sent me up here instead." he explains as he finally get's the fire to start. Pulling out the wolf's meat he can see the girl stare at it Mon chuckles a little "Hungry?" he asks the girl just nods. He takes the meat and skewers it on his spear and begins turning it in the fire to cook it. When it was finally finished he used a small knife to cut it up and gave the majority to the girl, who wolfed it down. "Hot hot hot." She said as she burnt her tongue on a piece "Slow down before you burn your tongue completely." Mon says as he chews on a small piece "And get a little closer to the fire so that you warm up." he tells her. After that the cave grew quiet until Mon got up and began putting out the fire "Well it's time to get you off this mountain." he says telling her to hop on his back after that it was another couple hours of climbing down the mountain, but when they reached the bottom they came down to the sight of a couple dozen villagers waiting for them. When the girl jumped off his back a women came half walking half hobbling up to the girl "My daughter thank goodness your alright." Mon smiled at the reunion but attempted to make himself scarce before the little girl started asking about where her father was, but before he got far the woman stopped him "Thank you for rescuing her." she said "It was no problem." Mon says "And if you or her ever need any help just ask." he said as the woman nods and he begins walking back home to where he started a fire a just relaxed in front of it for as long as possible.

His relaxation didn't last long it wasn't twenty minutes later when he heard shouting outside his hut. "Mononku come quick we need your help." The voice called as Mon got up he groaned 'Oh come on at least an hour.' he thinks walking outside "What is it." he asks the man "The mountain pass was blocked by the avalanche and we need you to assist the other five who went to clear it out." the man explained Mon nodded his head and made haste to the pass. As he approached the pass he could see the wall of snow hiding who knows what kinds of obstructions. He approached the bottom of this blockade and got in line with the other men shoveling out snow. The hours went by slowly and after four hours they where no closer to clearing it out than before, but they just kept digging until one of the men cried out having hit a tree. Mon went over and helped in the removal of the tree, but it took a good hour before the finally managed to get it free of the icy confines. After that the men just kept digging as the sun started to set a group from the village brought wolf's meat stew for them to eat. They sat there enjoying there dinner a talking until they finally went back to work late into the night as another group had brought torches for them to see with. They dug until it became midnight and they agreed to meet back up tomorrow to finish. Mon went back to his hut and layed down wanting to get as much sleep as possible. The next day Mon got out of bed and went back down to the pass greeting his fellow worksmen the went straight to work. Like yesterday a man cried out for assistance in removing a rather large boulder from the snows confines. It took a good hour to dig it out enough to move, but after that Mon looked up at the sky seeing the sun directly overhead even if it was blocked by the nearly perpetual overcast. Soon another group came down with some cooked fish, as Mon and the workers scarfed down their food they started placing bets on how much longer it would take. Finishing their lunches the group got back to work shoveling the snow out more vigorously than before now that they had full stomachs. As the snow blockade gradually became smaller they soon started to hear growling sound but brushed it off and kept digging. Eventually they finally got it down to just above their heads and began to shovel it faster seeing the end in site, The growling had ceased awhile back and Mon was hoping to get this done shortly and as they finished up the last load of snow and finished clearing the pass they went back and had a small banquet for the clearing of the pass, after that Mon went home for some sleep hoping tomorrow would be a peaceful day.
