Weaving through Remano’s busy streets, Ayero grumbles under her breath as she searches for her serpent companion. Normally she was okay to let Kabu wander off on his own so long as he returned to her without causing harm to anyone or anything, save for the meals he catches on the streets. But lately the snake had been rather rebellious, nabbing one of a vendor’s chickens for sale as a snack and causing a panic among some of Remano’s jumpier shoppers as they perused the stalls.
Ayero always eventually found herself in the middle of it, often apologizing profusely for the trouble her beast had caused and paying for the damages does. One man even banned her from his restaurant, not that she could blame him. So she had banned the Heliohapt snake from going anywhere without her, but Kabu obviously didn’t respect her enough to heed her orders…which is why she had taken to the streets after returning from her bath and finding him gone.
”I wish he wasn’t so hard to see…” She mutters in irritation, squinting ahead as she tries to make out Kabu’s scaly black body and yellow diamond pattern among the crowds.
