Description:
- Starting a fire is one of the most basic survival skills. Nobuou pulls some lint from his pocket, a few strands of hair, or any nearby available dry tinder from the environment and uses a bit of gunpowder to strike up a small D-tier flame. The fire is only 10cm in diameter and lasts only one post, but is capable of growing larger or persisting longer if fuel is added. The fire has many uses such as cooking, creating smoke signals, or for providing a starting ignition for larger fires.
Sowing Chutes

Requirements/Drawbacks: Requires Nimble Fingers equivalent trait. Requires relatively soft soil or mud unless user possesses a strength trait to break through harder environments such as stone.

Description:
- A trap that can be set for both beasts and men alike. Nobuo produces a handful of narrow, but sturdy bamboo chutes cut off at an angle to produce a sharp point. He then stabs his hand into the ground nimbly shifting the earth to loosen while depositing the bamboo chutes at the same time. This leaves behind a small pit 40cm in diameter and 20cm deep that is deceptively covered with a seemingly safe blanket of soil above supported by the sharp bamboo stakes. Stepping into the pit wall result in D-tier piercing damage from the bamboo chutes.
Slip Rope

Range: Medium
Requirements/Drawbacks: The trap can only be set up near trees or similar structures. Takes a fair bit of time to set up making it impractical for use in the midst of battle. Rope used does not have item durability unless rope is supplied via equipment. Trap could be triggered from afar.
Scaling: Whiplash - Investing 10 stamina into scaling causes the trap's victim to suffer disorientation started at D-tier and capping at A-tier depending on scaling.

Description:
- A trap developed for catching game that can also be repurposed for use on unsuspecting humans. Nobuo bends a tree branch to its tension limit and then secured with sakes before he ties one end of a rope to it. The other end of the rope is slung over a nearby branch and tied off into a loop propped open by two 2m wide which rests on the ground in the expected path of a target. Stepping on the sticks will cause them to break allowing the rope to draw the loop closed around the ankles. The jolt causes the delicately positioned stakes holding the bent branch to then release drawing the rope up into the canopy to hang the target upside down. The rope and loop can be cut with D-tier damage.

Requirements/Drawbacks: The user must focus on the sole target for the duration of this ability. If line of sight is broken or ability to see damaged this ability loses its effectiveness until sight and line of sight are restored.

- The pupils in Nobuo's eyes constrict as he focuses in on one target as small as 10cm up to 50m away and keeps track of its movements. This makes aiming at the target more accurate even if it is moving quickly or erratically.

Requirements/Drawbacks: Requires the firing of a magic rifle or other projectile weapons with reasonable recoil. User must have control over their body to perform a twist.

Description:
- After performing a shot with his rifle the recoil is used to propel Nobuo's body. He twists himself in the air to change directions and then lands up to 5m away in any direction away from the line of fire for the shot used.
