With the completion of the the castle town known as the Flames Retreat and the end of the war and the small touches at the end of it, it was time for the High Priestess to return home. It has been several years since she has left and she has not exactly been on task with sending letters at a timely manner to her king and his advisors. Yet, now was the time for her to finally return.
She had made quite a name for herself and the Sacred Order of the Flames Reach. Her sacred order was a branch religion of the main Sassan religious sect so everything she had done was for her land, god and king. Butterflies would form in her stomach as she thought about meeting the king in person. SHe had never been close enough to speak to him but surely all of these achievements merit a meeting with her lover. He will be happy so see her wont he? If not then he wouldnt be the true Xerxes would he? some imposter pretending. But there is no way that would happen.
The travel would take a couple of weeks by a carriage made for her and her inner circle. She was only taking a small portion of her order because she was worried a large force would instigate caution and conflict, so she decided her inner circle and a couple of others would be a perfect entourage.
Once they were in Reim it would not take much longer till Gilles had reached the isolated nation of Sassan. THeir High Priestess of the Flame was home.
