Description: A middle-aged man who was born in Reim, Darius started as a court magician for the Reim Empire. He was both a warrior and a magician, overcoming his magician's constitution. When the fall of the previous emperor occurred and the Kou occupation happened, Darius left and became a wandering blade. As a wanderer, he made a name for himself as the "Rune Knight" that delivered his sense of justice to others. He was a very powerful sellsword, but he traded in information and resources more than money. Upon coming across Angelus and trading blows with him, he saw the same potential that he cherished in his old ruler and swore loyalty to him.

Trait Description: If you ever wondered if there was a reason why Darius was able to rise to the social standards of being the court wizard for the emperor of Reim in the past, it was all due to the connections he managed to make during his time at the magnostadt academy. This is especially due to him being the former yellow tower master, teaching the introduction and immediate classes of lightning magic basis before moving on with his career. Darius has made plenty of connections as a magnostadt Alumni, and he can call on those favors as he wishes.
Trait Effect: You can use Darius as the middleman to send some words to his former colleagues for help. Darius will not be able to be used for a full calendar month irl during this time. However, upon his return, Darius will be able to give you a single high piece of information that will allow you to start an A-tier quest chain to achieve your goal within reason, or bring you closer to it. This is a guarantee that can either be something rather scandalous about a political figure, gossip from other court magicians, or even a confirmed rumor of the next dungeon raise.

Lightning Slash: Darius powers up his rune blade and brings it down with a mighty slash, creating a wave of lighting with a 10-meter arc that can go as far as 40 meters in the direction the blade was swung. The arc deals B-tier ability damage and can paralyze up to 3 limbs for 3 posts.
Heat Raiser: Darius inserts his rune blade into the ground and creates a 1-meter safe zone with the sword as the epicenter. Afterward, it expands into a 30-meter diameter of heat energy that deals A-tier ability damage.
Crushing Grip: Darius points his rune blade at a targeted which is sent as a distorted beam from the tip of the user's blade and envelops them within the A-tier strength full body immobility status effect. This is a single target ability from up to 30 meters away and the captured needs A-tier strength to break free from the grip if done without assistance. When captured, Darius can move the target about within a 30-meter radius.
Parrying Noise: Darius creates a wave of sound magic to cover his blade to parry an attack up to a single instance of A-tier ability damage. When this is done so, the sound of the attack that was parried is sent back to the user to stun them momentarily.
