job:

It was late at night in the streets of Magno and Gilles was currently heading back to the mansion she was currently residing in. She had just left from a meeting between a group known as the Librarians of Merlin and some of the young magicians of the country of magic. They seemed to be a much more progressive group that wanted to change the country for what most would consider for the better. It seemed like they wanted to improve upon the relationship between the magicless goi and the magically inclined magicians. She had met with these idealistic people so that she could gain their trust and favor as she spreads her own influence throughout this city. Soon her stranglehold on this city would finally become resolute.

As she was walking back she would be thinking about what had taken place during the past couple of hours this evening. She had listened to their opinions and their ideas that they had for the future of Magno. She had found them to be silly and unrealistic. This country was too caught up in the past to change anytime soon without a forceful shove. From what she had been able to gather, the country was founded by magicians that had been wronged by goi and treated as nothing more than tools to be used until they were broken. A large part of the upper echelon of this country were still the old guard that continued to pass their grudge and prejudice onto the next generation. These librarians of merlin seemed like they would be too soft to make the moves that were needed to affectively change the current trajectory of this land. They were all younger and inexperienced compared to the wizened and cunning old guard. However, Gilles was just as cruel and cunning as those old geezers. Unlike the Librarians she and her followers had the skills to push this country in the direction that the Librarians had dreamed of. Of course they were not doing this for nothing.

Gilles was using this group for her own goals and only them. The had put a lot of thought into this prior to the event and decided to go with the librarians over the other group. As she had thought previously, the other group was much more ideal for her plans since they were a lot more cruel and cunning. However, due to the previously mentions grudge against the goi that would make it practically impossible to gain their allegiance and trust. She felt like on the other end that the librarians would be much easier to control and manipulate. This was mostly because of how naïve and innocent they seemed to be to her. She would use them to gain the trust of the people and use this as a chance to get rid of any threats such as the old guard that sought to tighten their own hold on this country. She would grin at this final thought. She had been putting so much work these past several months into her plans of taking control of the hearts of this country to make it all the more easier to hand off to Sassan’s control.

She had finally gotten home and found that the inner circle had been waiting in the kitchen for her return. She would smile at her trusted and loyal followers, “It is great to see you all my fellow worshipers of the great flame of our lord. I have just been at the meeting we talked about previously and I feel that things have went well between us and the Librarians of Merlin.” The trio would look interested in this, especially DuskII whose merchant guild and her alliance would benefit greatly with better goi and magician relations. “This is great my priestess! This will surely greaten the bond between us and the populace of the magicians. We should do anything we can currently to cement this alliance that we have just started and as soon as we can at that.” They all seemed as eager as the high priestess to benefiting from taking over this country and how this will help them in the near future. “okay so our next step will be helping with the librarians in a task that will take us outside of the city walls. They plan on talking with a tribe of humans that will be passing near the city, as well as giving them food so they can eat together. We will be providing a large amount of support with our numbers as well as helping provide the food due to our connections with the merchants of this city.” She will take a small break to give time for her words to sink in and to give the trio time to talk in case they had something to say.

“I am certain that the anti goi movement group known as the Children of Semes are likely to make some kind of movement at the gathering. I doubt the Librarians will be able to defend against them if something does happen. So we will end up being there to serve as protection in case the worse case scenario does happen. We will be there as volunteer workers and security.” She would say this with her eyes gleaming with joy and eagerness. It had been quite a while since she had the joy to see the flames that can only be formed from the burning of human flesh. While she had mainly burned only for the sake of her god a part of her deep, deep inside of her that truly enjoyed the sensation that comes from the screams and writhing bodies of human beings that are enraptured by crimson flames.

Now all that there was left to do was wait and help prepare for the gathering. Gilles would mitigate the work to her inner circle of the religious order, her three current cardinals. Husk would figure out how to best keep an eye out for attackers, DuskII would handle helping get food and other supplies while Dawn would talk to both the Librarians and the tribe. All that was left for gilles was to wait for the day of the gathering itself.
