Job Overview: Kogata have assigned you and other shinobi and foreign mercenaries to retrieve two shinobi captured by a small Kinan clan looking to extract information from them. Infiltrate a clan house and assist Kogata shinobi in defeating the small clan's samurai, and retrieving the two shinobi.

Kina was truly a beautiful country, the magician strolled through the street with lots of cherry blossom trees decorating the street everywhere. The wind would help to sweep the petals, making it seem the petals were flying on the air happily to god knew where the wind would bring them. The weather was warm, although not too hot… Perhaps autumn was just waiting in the corner. Both Noir and Haku would be mesmerized by the scenery though, still feeling the magical vibe even after seeing it for several times.

However the street of Kina was as crowded as usual, many people came out to do business, or to take a stroll under this great weather...some were visiting this eatery to fill their stomach before they start their activity and some… were just enjoying the scenery of their beloved country. Noir had just finished getting food though for herself and also for Haku. They went to this place that was selling a simple but warm meal, a bowl of rice with some raw fish slices placed on top of it, served after pouring a hot green tea on it. Ochazuke, that was how they called the dish and Noir loved it, she liked the way that dish made her feel the warmness spreading within her body. A great way to start a day it seemed and very popular as well by looking at the crowds gathering around the shop.

The magician didn't really have anything to do in particular today and she got bored staying in the room prepared by the Morihana… perhaps she should just go to the public library for now, spending some of her time there until noon and she could explore the country more after that, probably she could try to get lunch in the place she had not visited yet as well.

It didn't take long for Noir to choose her book and quickly came back to her seat. She would try to make herself comfortable before she flipped the book’s page, scanning the content with her eyes, not just reading it, but also trying to understand it, storing all the information into her head. It was just a fiction book, a writing made from someone’s imagination pouring into a readable scribble. But the creativity piqued Noir’s interest, making her wonder how someone could be this creative, what kind of muse that the writer had when he wrote this book.

Right after she finished reading, she could hear someone calling for her, a shinobi perhaps, judged by his all dark clothing that was covering everything except his eyes.Noir's assumption was not wrong, a messenger from Kogata had come to visit her in less than 3 days. He mentioned that one of the officials, the one that the magician met, was requesting for her presence once again to discuss something. The magician assumed it must be another mission, however… her first mission was to chase a rat, second one was to distract guards from the enemy to let them infiltrate… so what could be the 3rd one… she wondered, perhaps it would be related to an information digging thing...but it would be too fast for Noir to make a judgement before actually meeting and listening to what they might say.

It was quite surprising, the man didn't show a rather friendly expression like he did before. Now he looked stern, as if something was bugging him or that something bad or annoying happened. But Noir wouldn't ask about it, she didn't feel like she could or even have the right to ask that.

The man would let out a sigh, seemingly trying to calm himself before he could share to the magician sitting in front of him about what he wanted her to do. He would collect his composure back and would start to explain, he mentioned that they wanted Noir to go and retrieve these two shinobi that had been held captive by a small Kinan Clan who were looking to extract information from them. He also mentioned that Noir would be working with the other shinobi and foreign mercenaries for this mission, they would infiltrate the clan's manor and assist the shinobi to defeat the samurai from that small clan, in order to save the captured clansmen.

The magician assumed wrong then, it was a retrieving mission… although it was still related to the information digging thing… However she didn't expect that the other clan would do that kind of thing to get information. Although she understood that sometimes such things would be necessary… but she wouldn't judge.

She was told that the mission would be commenced on the next day, but they ended up doing all the meetings and briefings today, discussing about the strategy on how they should do the rescue mission. Noir thought that it would be better for the shinobi to focus on rescuing their allies and let her deal with the enemies. At first they were not sure if they could let Noir do that, however they gave up since the magician was pretty stern about it. Well, the golden eyed girl didn't mean to be stern, she just told them that she could do it, gave her reason on why she should do it, with her usual expressionless face. But oh well, the black haired girl could do what she wanted to do.

Since the shinobi would be focusing on the rescue mission, Noir thought that it was better so she could focus more on how to defeat enemies. The last report she heard before they started the mission was that there were like, 10 samurai wearing light tatami armor and their leader, the Dai samurai. Those should be the total of enemies she had to defeat once she entered the clan house…she worried, wondering if it was doable… but she knew she could.

The magician gripped her staff of storms, going inside the manor along with the Kogatan's shinobi. But they were greeted by 5 samurais right after they stepped into the entrance. With a sigh escaping from her lips due to the early arrival of the enemies, Noir poured magoi into her wand and drew a circle, creating a 5m wide cone shaped vapor that will attack 5 samurais directly, dealing them with Btier damage.

The Kogatan's shinobi was surprised to see Noir's strength, but decided to not say anything when Noir just casually moved forward, continuing to infiltrate the manor. The shinobi would begin to go separate ways, beginning their search on their allies' whereabouts while Noir kept going forward. Two of the samurai will appear but Noir would use her exceptional speed and strength to subdue those two enemies by sending punches right towards their guts, knocking them out with Atier basic damage. She took 7 down...so there must be 3 more and then their leader…

Three more guards would appear soon and Noir would sustain her Il Miraggio spell, easily beating the remaining three by inflicting Btier damage. She would look around after that, noticing it got a bit quiet at the moment, probably because she took down all the samurai… although she should prepare herself to defeat the samurais leader now.

Just when she wanted to look for the Dai Samurai, he showed up by himself, saving Noir's time from trying to look for him. Well, this one looked strong...The magician couldn't underestimate him… She stayed still, didn't bother to use her magic for now, she wanted to see how strong a Dai Samurai would be. The man would run towards Noir and raise his Katana to attack, although the girl's speed let her to get away by jumping back. She would quickly jump forward to send a flying kick but it would be blocked by the samurai's Katana. However Noir would maneuver herself, moving her free right left to send her knee right at the man's side head, bumping his head hard enough to deal Atier damage.

After she defeated the Dai Samurai, Noir would look around the manor doing simple checking, looking for more guards to be beaten if needed. However it seemed she took down all of them already and by the time she was done, it seemed the shinobi had successfully found their friend as well. So Noir could say that it was a mission accomplished… but the magician wondered about all of these political issues happening between all these clans and even the smaller clans… it seemed very messy...and complicated as well…Oh well, Noir would try to decipher it, but politics wasn't really her thing…

The official would be happy that Noir succeeded in helping them again after she and the shinobi reported their success. He mentioned that not only Noir would be rewarded handsomely, she would also be accepted within the Kogata clan. In the other words, she managed to earn their trust by offering her help. Noir felt happy upon hearing that and she would thank the man for giving her a chance to help them.
