Parade Away [Solo/Lagi/C-rank]

Surprisingly, this man wasn’t the kind of person that went around with a huge security detail. Even though this individual has accomplished so much in his life, he just of felt that he was an untouchable individual . However, the fact that he was always out in the open and surrounded by a bunch of like-minded socialites was something that Lagi wasn’t necessarily too fond of. “There has to be some kind of setup that we can catch this man with. There has to me some kind of opening somewhere. “ Lagi couldn’t necessarily solve this by inflicting violence alone. The escorts that he had weren’t just escorts, they were valuable business partners that Qeb worked with on a daily basis. This was something that opened up a brand new problem that Lagi had to solve, and he had to be smart about it. “Another party? How about that? It worked last time, maybe it would work again. “ Lagi shook his head at the idea. “Its too obvious to have something come up and then suddenly invite Qeb to it. He doesn’t even associate  himself with slave owners in that way. Sorry boys, but simply killing his guards and placing him in a deathly state isn’t as easy as it sounds. Of course its desirable, but is it achievable? No, it’s a system that he created on his own buy being seen as a public figure. “Even though they wanted to get Qeb, they still didn’t really have a way of doing so.

This man never really left heliohapt either, so he was more likely to send some guards to investigate any sort of capturing of his cargo from overseas to heliohapt if anything was to happen.  He was smart, he was cunning, a person of high regard. “Then what do we do? This continues to hurt us if we do nothing.”  The dark hand members were starting to show their frustration, they were aggravated that they couldn’t act as swiftly and as promptly as they were these past couple of months. “ The only thing that we ca do is wait for something local to happen in the city. Since he likes to be such a socialite and appear where there are a lot of people, a lot of witnesses, we use that against him. “

Patience was a virtue, and soon enough, the dark hand finally had their chance.  Qeb was going to host a parade of some sort in the streets of heliohapt, something that was merry enough to keep the people’s eyes on him and as attentive as he possibly could  get them to be.  Heliohapt didn’t hold street parades too often,  so this was sure to catch a big crowd as the people had a chance to be merry and enjoy their celebration. However, Lagi saw an opportunity. “See if you can get something akin to  the routes of the floats and the streets that the parade would cover. I think we could start getting ready for his demise now.

A few days afterwards, the parade went on. It was gaudy, it was fun, it was exciting, and it was entertaining. At the very least, Lagi managed to secure somewhat of a perimeter to always have some kind of eyes on the target. Qeb was never without a dark hand being around the corner. Yet, as this little stunt ensured in order to advance his popularity, it was well received. The peasants were singing and dancing in the street as the float moved, Qeb waved his hands around with a magnetic grin. “Yes, thank you for coming!” Confetti and loud music filled the streets as they continued to march, and the side stalls were garnering more business than usual with the quantity of people outside today. This was something that was thought to benefit everyone, but little did Qeb know, this would also benefit the dark hand.  

Later on an hour of demonstrating, the famed merchant stopped and began to talk. “Ahem, thank you, good people of Heliohapt. Rich and poor, immature and old. This is my way of contributing back to this wondrous city, as it’s been so good to me as well. Please enjoy the foreign entertainment that I’ve brought all the way from kou, the Lou Fang Dancers!” With a roaring applause, a bunch of individuals were ushered in with bright and flashy clothing. They looked alluring, exotic, and very quick.  Most of all, they were really the dark hand members in disguise. The real Lou Fang Dancers couldn’t make it today, they were sadly forced into an early retirement.  Lagi was one of the five dancers in the middle of the crowd, determined to put on a good show.

The music started to play, and lagi started to wave his baton in a skilled manner. Little did they know, a magic tool was attached to the spinning baton, something that immediately got everyone’s attention on the amazing trick and keeping their eyes on the baton and the performance. That item was the  charm of fascination. Ravish was active and the unique mirror spinning that the other performers had basically moved around it into a light appearance, having ravish reflect off of the light and holding everyone in melody with the show.  There was pushing and jostling among the crew, yet close the VIP line as  the music was loud and the illumination was shining.  There was one particular bump that came across as a stabbing sensation for Qeb, a full injection of  100% pure el ragu.  That man was in a gargling heaven before he even knew what was to become of him, taken from the scene in a small dugout hole that led to a quick getaway. It was a hole that Lagi dug with his groundhog technique not too long ago, it was all planned.  The replacement simply took his spot in the crowd, just like that.

When the performance was over, Lagi and the others bowed to a roaring applause as the crowd cheered, “Qeb” was one of them.   The remainder of the parade was successful, boosting Qeb’s popularity and likeness. However, the real Qeb was promptly stabbed and buried alive in the sand. If this parade had any benefit at all, it was for the dark hand.
