Job Details:

Aoife walked out to the around the town, hoping to meet her new friend in the central square of the city before heading out into the plains. She was confused as to why he left so suddenly, perhaps it was something she said? Either way, she had a real friend in Magnostadt! A real friend! It was an exciting venture for her as she hadn't had a real friend to speak to since she lived back at home. She was still confused as to why Mordecaiah left so suddenly, and with a intense flushing of red in his face! Perhaps he had never had a friend before? That would definitely be it. Ah. Charity, always doing such good charity for the world. Aoife gave herself a pat on the back and smiled wide, proud of her accomplishment and conceit. She looked around, hoping to find her fellow magician friend, but he didn't seem to show up.

"Is he coming...? Oh this is so silly! Did I tell him? Oh no! What if I forgot to tell him!?" She panicked, hoping she didn't forget to tell him the meeting place, and time, and reason why we're even out here! Oh no! Aoife started to panic, pacing around the large fountain placed in the city square. However, she decided not to lose her cool and simply wait a little bit longer. Perhaps he was running late? Perhaps he was making sure to be especially prepared. That was it. That was definitely it!

So, Aoife waited, staring at the people who walked around. She spotted children playing in the city, and adults shopping and people going about their daily life, free as the world would let them be. She smiled, and sat down by the fountain, the water glistening in the sunlight behind her as she continued to people watch. She basked in its beauty.

Magnostadt what a beautiful place to go to on such a sunny day. Mordecaiah thought as he walked the path to the city from the farm. Narrow as it the path grew in some moss and tiny pebbles. They crushing beneath his feet with each step as he continue along. Heat wave it seemed to be today, one of the time he didn't have a canister of sort containing water so he thought to improvise. One wash away of his cane and a couple blue rukh swarmed and filled into his mouth. A couple drips from the corner as he let down one large gulp and jumped in glee. The wind calmly blowing against his locks as he finally made it to the fresh rough and rigid cobblestone path leading up to the gate.

Large as a giant stood the gate man once more. It looked like he hadn't left the position since the other day. He took little notice of Mordecaiah, as he only pointed for him to just past through the gate as he proved he was a magician already or at least create a borg. The clothing of the guards man fluffy around the firm and pretty bright in colors of blue. He swish and turn his head not trying to go into detail about the clothing and stopped in front of the information box. Wondering where or how he suppose to meet Aoife, she didn't exactly tell him out to locate her. Than he rubbed his neck remembering he rushed off quickly not actually saying where either. So now embarrassed enough he slowly walked from the entrance off into the city not actually knowing where to meet his friend. Mind crushed and body just wondering he advert his mind else where and toward site seeing many places, or things.

The little tour came to an end quickly. It was like a rush of people moved about the streets leaving nothing behind but the chatters they had in lnbetween conversations and moving. Mordecaiah in the mix wasn't used to it and got pushed and shoved around. His body just rushing from left to right, one side to another as he was soon tumbling out the side and against stone. Hitting his back on the rim of a fountain. His head fell back to meet the stone cold surface as he rubbed his back. Mordecaiah gaze though say the large pulp hat of Aoife across the fountain, and his grin shortly return as he got up to dust himself off. Clapping his hands together and reclaiming his composure he moved over to her and spoke loud enough to hear him from a far. " Aoife! Aoife! Sorry for the rush off yesterday, I was running against the clock to return home. Hahah, but I have return. Sooooo sorry for the wait, it was a bad come up from the current of people. " he smiled and shortly get closer to her with his jolly tone.

"Oh! Oh brilliant! Oh heavens I thought we made a plan to meet up and didn't say when or where but it looks like we did! I was afraid since you had taken off so quickly yesterday that you didn't hear me say we are to do this little mission! No matter; I suggest we get started, yea? I believe these vicious beasts are located near a village out in the Plains...from what I read they do not seem like friendly beasts. You are prepared, right?" Aoife rambled, her voice took an assertive, authoritative tone. It tended to do that whenever she felt in charge of something--if it were planning a charity gala, or leading a group of people, she immediately became the boss of the situation. It certainly wasn't appreciated by some, but as long as the work was done, Aoife wouldn't harass them as much. So, she led Mordecaiah off into the plains to search for these crazy beasts. The trek out of the academy city was simple enough, they passed by many shops and peddlers and playing children, all thing that brought a smile to Aoife's face, before they finally left the safety of the gates and into the great wilderness that is the plains of the mainland.

"According to the mission...the village is due west of here...it shouldn't take long, we could walk there? It'd only take a few hours or so. What say you? Are you ready?" The thril of adventure swelled with Aoife and she was literally beaming with excitement. To those with a trained eye, the earth around her flushed with overgrowth, the grass seemed to even flex its muscles and grow thicker and longer due to Aoife's unadulterated excitement. I digress, Aoife never noticed, and she led her companion west to the village, hoping to find the little bastards and put them to rest.

"So Mordecaiah...what brought you to Magnostadt? I came to learn all there is to know about magic, that much is obvious, but I never caught why you came?" Aoife asked, tempted to make conversation with her traveling partner.

" Oh... errr.. Sure yeah we can get started. I've only just arrived so I can keep up. So far the only beast that I know is friendly is my rabbit Dexx'ter. He very fluffy, but it's been a while since I actually seen him. Sadly or not I'm ready to follow you along the way. " he sort of hearing the authority voice from Aoife. In the least he just tugged at the trim ending of his gloves and held his hand firmly around the end of his cane and followed in suit behind her. Sun out blazing and nothing for water he could only think of buying a canister in the city, but didn't.

By now Aoife, was leading him west in the plains.
Beams of light anchoring down on his brow as Aoife begun speaking, and grass surfaced around them. Mordecaiah simply nodded when she asked if he was ready, and bent down on his knee to hand her a flower from the beds she grew from mere excitement. They had now taken from down the path linking Magnostadt to the village and she brought up a nice conversation. " I was brought to Magnostadt upon request. My adoptive father Montague said that I had been request to do that little job with the manta's. Besides that I never really thought of going to Magnostadt personally, but you seem to enjoy it. " he say with his same jolly tone. His eyes shining brighter with the help of the sun, but it eventually left into a squint as they continued on.

"Magnostadt is just wonderful! I am learning so much here--I mean the people are a little stiff...but once you get to know them they are less stiff. But the city is so beautiful and it's just full of wonder and excitement!" Aoife raved, her manner of speaking more rapid and animated. The pair still trotted through the soft grass, the wind gently breezing around them as they closed in on the village that was being terrorized by the terrible squirrels that lurked in the wooded region nearby. She entered the village with her companion, spying around, looking for any trouble in their midst. Apart from the deafening sound of silence and creaky dwellings, Aoife was shocked at the lack of appearance of rabid animals lurking in the town, ready to strike at an unsuspecting traveler. Yet, there was nothing, and so Aoife walked around, leading Mordecaiah through the silent and empty town.

"Well, it...it doesn't seem like anyone's around...should we venture into the forest? It's so confusing..." Aoife mused, her head on a swivel as she looked around for any sign of enemies. Suddenly, she heard the sound of rapid scurrying in the distance. She gripped her staff tight, her body more alert than it had ever been before. She tried to pinpoint where exactly the scurrying was occurring--was it to her left, was it to her right, was it behind her, was it in front of her? Just then, Aoife jerked her body to the right, dodging the squirrel's lunge at her from behind. She was briefly victorious, for a moment, before a second squirrel lunged at her, biting her leg as it sank its apparent fangs into her flesh. Aoife let out a muffled cry of pain as she fought back involuntarily tears that sprouted from her eyes, and whacked the squirrel off her body with her staff. The squirrel was shot back, but still reared back and attempted to dig into Aoife's body once more. Not wanting to be mauled to death in the boonies of Magnostadt, Aoife swung her staff back, and channeled more magoi into her attack than ever before, scaling the power of her Close Vine to strike and fell the marauding squirrel. The squirrel's body went limp as Aoife defeated it in his charge. The first squirrel that charged at her was now out of her sights and she looked around nervously trying to ascertain where the rodent assailant was. Aoife felt a whizzing past her head, and suddenly the squirrel was on her head, clawing into her left shoulder as it tried to bring her down to the ground. She dropped her staff from the shock and grabbed the squirrel and tried to pry it off of her, getting one good grip of the squirrel's body and tearing it off of her, throwing it down on the ground. While the squirrel was still recovering from the toss, Aoife grabbed her staff and whipped up two large potatoes from the earth, and cast Tater Shots bludgeoning the beast into submission. Aoife grabbed her shoulder and stood up, her posture a little shaky from the ensuing battle, but she regained her composure.

"Ah...I...guess this is going to be a little more difficult than intended?" Aoife gasped, trying to inject humor into her objectively awful current situation. She didn't notice any squirrels around, so she was fortunate that she could catch a breath for a moment before jumping into the fray yet again.

" Magnostadt is a great place. It has many wonders, but it can be dangerous all together. Yes beautiful, but I'm cautious about such wonders. " Feeling the gentle breeze brush over him. Refreshing as it was he sort of dismissed it all together feeling the weird humid day as they crossed into the empty town. Many of the shacks and what looked to be the chiefs hut just cleared and abandoned. Aoife looked around and it seemed none of the people were inside their respective homes. How in the world or planet did they up and suddenly disappear he and probably Aoife didn't know, but to him it all seemed too strange.

" I'm not really sure. But the forest seem likely to be the next part of this strange.... village. " his spine crawling as he felt the breeze creep up again. This time he didn't really welcome it and continued following behind his companion. That's when Aoife suddenly got jumped and attacked by two of the eight squirrels animals roaming about. He felt he should act holding his cane firmly he couldn't move. No fear came it's just he didn't move yet as he saw how Aoife struggled and than broke free long enough to attack and wack the two rapid squirrels go off and drop dead. Lifeless body lay and a shook Aoife came back over to Mordecaiah and spoke. He laugh slightly, rustling in the trees and bushes cut that short for him. He tap his cane along the dirt walking forward toward the noise silently. Dirt barely muffling his shoes as three squrriels scurried and climbed up Mordecaiah pants leg. Each one through its head back and biting down into it. Chewing than piercing through its fabrics. Letting out 'Gawhs' sounds in his pains Mordecaiah, knew it was bound to happen.

The onslaught grew as another three decreasing the number of squirrels to appear to two. They came from the air and dropped on his shoulder clawing and entering into his skin. Using both his cane and open hand to knock them off, the claw marking bleed with his blood and some dropped into the soil. All six of the squirrels came to stand side by side and charge him again moving quick. Mordecaiah barely able to keep up when all six climbed up his clothing and ready to strike again, but the hot humid air around them shifted fast. A vortex formed around him and started lifting the small animals off his clothing and into the assortment of petals, they not having footing to escape as each one getting cut and gashs eventually killing them. Mordecaiah eyes bright as every and hair sticking up as the updraft caught it along, the funnel dying down as opening up as he speak with a fierce tone. " Two more too go. I'm sorry you have to see me like this, covered in blood.... ahhh I don't like this either " he say with his breathe showing and hearing more rustling and movement further along. He'd point in the general direction for Aoife to see.

"It isn't our fault it turned into a mission that is a little more difficult than expected but..." Aoife started. Her voice trailed off as she saw another squirrel rush toward her head, zipping through the sky like a bullet. She quickly ducked, losing track of the conversation as the squirrel landed to the ground, reared back and bore its fangs at Aoife. A slight shudder ran through her body as she made eye contact with the rodent's devilish, beady eyes and gripped her staff, attempting to ready herself against the squirrel's attacks. It kicked off its hind legs and darted toward the girl. Her borg shielded most of the attack but it still broke through her shield, clipping her leg as it darted back away to prepare for another strike. Aoife backed away, pointing her staff at the rodent and slamming it down to the ground, swinging it upwards with some force to reveal two bulging fruits up from the ground to fly toward the squirrel. The Fruit of the Boom! barely scrapped the squirrel, and it shrugged off the attack as it launched toward Aoife again. She quickly waved her staff over her dress, revealing a scaled Hurt Couture on her body. As the squirrel dug its fangs into Aoife's leg, the rose thorn flung from her body into the squirrel's flesh, ripping it from her leg and onto the ground. The squirrel's limp body lay motionless on the ground as Aoife just laid back on the ground, exhausted from the battle.

"I am so done with today...Mordecaiah can you take of the last squirrel...I'm going to lie down until this is over..." Aoife said, her eyes closed as her body lay on the soft earth. This was definitely the most strenuous activity she has ever done and she was not happy. The injuries she incurred still hurt but they did not sting with the hot pain they did during the heat of battle. Perhaps she was still full of adrenaline? Either way, she was spent and needed her companion to finish the job.

~Aoife Reply~

Just like that the squrriels have tired out Aoife, and Mordecaiah could only stare. She struggled and tussled with one squrriel who attack her it seemed persist at best when it kept charging at her until. Something he couldn't actually tell was an attack, but saw a rose vine? Lay waste to the animal as she has gotten sick of them just by looking at her facial expression. Fruit flung, and roses apparently won Mordecaiah, could only just look in exhaustion from witnessing Aoife be the pure muscle of the ground making him the nothing, but fodder to the adventure. " S..Sure I'll handle the last one for ya, Aoife. " literally turning around to listen and notice if the last and only squrriel was moving about. Aoife probably counting on him he thought in his mind thinking to put more effort into it now with the thought.

Shortly rushing through the dirt was in fact the squirrel and it was aiming to claw its way into Mordecaiah eyes. Coming in hot and not stoping at all he felt the intense feeling in his gut as he knew this animal was aiming to blind him. Not giving it what it wanted he tapped his cane on the ground bringing an tidal wave around his body. The squirrel taking action before giving him the chance to send the attack, jumping through the air and slashing with its little claws around in a frits slicing and craving into whatever may come into its claws path. Scaling Vandens Kolonêlê as the squrriel flew pasted him leaving a long cut across his nose, but Mordecaiah didn't let that slide as he threw forward the tidal wave going to crash and drown the squirrel catching the poor animal as it didn't come down from his jump. Feeling the stinging pain from the newly made cut moving over to Aoife to speak.

" Their are times when you can be off the chain, and umm... I tried hahaha. But Aoife, the jobs done we can return home. " he say excitedly as he knew he should get medical treatment on his wound or at least something help the pain.
