Ani seemed as upset as Zadi thought she would be so it wasn't much of a surprise or shock to the frustrated magician. After all, a tamer of beasts is almost certain to become upset a the lose of an 'innocent' creature's life. Granted, in this case, these creatures lived in a superficial world that fell apart after being conquered.

"Fine, lead the way. Just know I won't hesitate to kill the openly violent creatures, especially the dumb ones that mimic the outside world."

Zadi would follow Ani into the windmill and have a look around the place. The large door on the inside felt to Zadi like the door to the next area, but stating the obvious isn't something Zadi was willing to do. Therefore Zadi just glanced around the room and waited for Ani to touch the door. Zadi would follow suit and touch the door, too.

When they were inside the windmill Ani looked around and thought to herself. She figured the door led to the next area, and also assumed that the stone had some significance to it. She picked up the stone with the purple lightning bolt on it examining it. She held it in her hand as she walked over to the door before looking at it closely. If the light from the stone was bright  enough she would use it to look around the windmill and the door. She made sure to examine them closely with, or without light.

"I feel like this stone has some importance." She said holding it firmly in her hand before she placed her hand on the door. As she placed her hand in the hand-print she closed her eyes in hope that they would travel to the next area.  Either way she planned to hold onto the stone to see what its significance was. She was also curious about the purple lightning bolt on the stone as she held it tightly in her hand.

As Ani and Zadi slipped their hands onto the door in the designated spot, they would feel a sucking and pulling sensation as the door gave way and opened, the portal transporting them to the Midway.

Ronove' - A Blue Queen [Ani/Zadi/KILL VIABLE] - Page 2 TeOzs6E

As they rematerialized in the Midway, they would find themselves atop a sheer cliff, clouds scurrying about and making vision a bit more difficult. They had not escaped the lightning of the previous room, though if they stood and observed for a few moments, it mostly seemed contained to the clouds. It would make air travel nearly impossible, but there would be a small path that would wind down the side of the cliff. The rocks showed signs of scarring from being struck by lightning, smudges of black against the mossy stones. The other end of the path would not be visible yet.

Ronove' - A Blue Queen [Ani/Zadi/KILL VIABLE] - Page 2 RivpLrh

Ronove’ arched a brow as Zadi spoke almost harshly to Ani. So it was not the magician that was here to challenge her, it was the blue-haired girl. From how much the blonde man had been leading the charge, the mistake was understandable. It was Ani who picked up the rune on the table, Zadi not even seeming to notice it. Ronove’ mourned the loss of her gorgeous wolves, slightly upset that seemingly intelligent humanoid creatures were not able to make the most basic of connections that the easiest way to communicate with any wild creature was food. Other pairs had figured it out nearly instantly, but Zadi had seemed preoccupied with nothing more than badgering creatures with questions, too lazy to seek out anything for himself. And Ani had done nothing but stood passively by as Zadi had failed, time and again, to establish contact with creatures so that they could answer his questions. As a beast-tamer, Ronove’ felt Ani should have been smart enough to try and take the lead in such situations, to try her own methods, but perhaps the girl’s relationship with her beast was simply a fluke. Regardless, Ani was far too passive to be a true leader, allowing Zadi to do as he pleased and only putting her foot down once he had harmed an animal. A leader needed to actively seek out advice of their supporters and needed to know when to abide the advice or to brush it to the side.

She decided to keep a closer eye on the pair, seeing how they handled the next room of challenges, as their performance in the first room had not been altogether impressive.

Once they had made it to the next area Ani began to look around the area so she could come up with an idea. After all Ani was the one running the dungeon for the djinn, so she needed to prove her worth. After thinking about it she realized that she had been making the same mistake that she did back in Dantalion. She was allowing someone else to lead the way and protect her. That's not what Ani had learned, She needed to use the lessons she learned from the dungeon and onward. "Alright Zadi, I'm taking the lead." She said in a friendly way to tell him that she wasn't trying to insult him. "I'm the one contesting, so I'll lead us." She said as she placed the stone away for safe keeping.

Ani took in a deep breath giving herself the confidence she knew she had. She was stronger, and wiser then before. She planned to show it in this dungeon. Though, of course Zadi's advice would probably come in handy later on, but she knew that there was also going to be times when she would have to stick by her ideas, and decisions. With this in mind the Imuchakk took a firm step-forward

She walked down the path with Hoyo right behind her looking around carefully with each step that she took. She was looking for clues to the next area, or signs of what types of animals would be in the area with them. Along with that she looked around to see if there was anything that would be useful to them. Ani was going to try her best to make sure they wouldn't make any simple mistakes again.

Ani took on of the things from the windmill, a lightning symbol thing. Zadi was against the idea of taking something without permission from the djinn...aside from life...because the golden statues in Buer treasured by the bear people seemed to be off limits as confirmed by the djinn, in a way. Zadi thought back and probably could have talked the bear people into giving away at least one golden statue, but that's the past. Ronove is now the dungeon Zadi traversed in and the rules may be drastically different. Zadi's frustration subsided, for now, and knew killing the wolves out of said frustration could come with backlash in the end. However, Zadi only regretted not taking the meat of the wolves so as not to waste their deaths. Perhaps feeding the naive animals of this dungeon is the proper thing to do.

"I should have probably brought some food with me. Granted, I've never thought about hunger within dungeons. They haven't lasted long enough for me to care about eating. Whatever, Ani probably has some food to spare for negotiations."

Ani confidently started to lead the way and Zadi followed in toe. Zadi kept vigilant of his surroundings. The lighting this time seemed to be contained within the clouds, so no worries there. However, anything is possible within a dungeon...to a degree. Zadi kept silent, only speaking if asked for advice. Zadi drifted back to his beast taming days with Syma only to feel an ache in his chest. Being a whisperer of beasts is one thing, taming another.

The new area was drastically different than the quiet plains they had just come from. The cliffs were lined in trees and plants and the sounds of wildlife could be heard echoing through the region. The sharp, winding path would come to a sharp end, resulting in a drop of about 20 meters. Hanging near the edge of the cliff were numerous thick vines, long enough to get them a safe distance down the edge of the cliff. Growing along the edge of the cliff, twined carefully into the rocks, were more vines that made a seemingly stable ladder that could be used to climb down. Falling, climbing the hanging vines or using the vines entwined on the edge of the cliff were the only way down to the next part of the path. The clouds became slightly denser, making it even more difficult to see and making the area slick with moisture. The adventurers would need to find the safest way down to the next area.

When they had made it to the cliff Ani stopped making sure to put up her hands to tell Hoyo and Zadi that they needed to stop where they were. She looked around for a moment and began to think to herself while biting into her lip softly in thought. Ani was sure that she could use her cape and it's ability to make it down safely, while holding Hoyo. Though Ani didn't want to waste any of her magoi unless it was absolutely needed. Plus it would be difficult for Ani to make it down the ladder with Hoyo in her arm.

After looking around for a bit walked to the vines grabbing one for a moment. "I think we should take these vines, they seem thick and strong." She said pulling on one to check its firmness. She walked over to the ladder next and pulled on it to see if it was firmer. Once she was done checking she pulled out the stone for a moment and held it up to the sky curiously. "I wish you could provide us some help." She said softly before turning to Zadi. "What's your opinion on what we should do?" She asked a bit curiously. If Zadi had a better idea she would listen to it before making a decision, but if he agreed to her decision she would make her way down the vines with Hoyo to the next path.

Zadi

Ani made a signal for Hoyo and Zadi to halt their walking. She then looked around, eventually noticing the vines down the cliff. Ani seemed to ponder the safest way down so once Ani asked Zadi for his advice, he gave it;

"Wish granted; I'll just some Gravity Magic to get us down safely. However, the vines are still important. I can't see the bottom so sticking close to the cliff is important. Wouldn't want to veer too far away and go down further than we need to."

Zadi grabbed onto the vine-ladder, turned his head to Ani and completed his take on the situation, "Keep a hold of the side of this ladder-thing. It may look stable enough, but I can get us down faster without risking the the vines snapping under out weight. Get close so I can use Gravity Lift."

Zadi would keep all three of the group close to the cliff-side by feeling the vine ladder. Zadi's Social Gravity Lift, Stage 1 would repel Ani, Hoyo, and Zadi along the cliff-side at a steady speed of 5 m/s. The speed was quicker than manual climbing, but Zadi ought to be able to see the ground once they got close enough. Though, just in case, Zadi kept a Ball of Light underneath his feet for clearer vision. The ball of light could help Zadi see the cliff-side, but the vine-ladder was taking care of that problem.

As the trio began to descend with the assistance of magic, the dangers of the room would make themselves more obvious as they traveled through the clouds. The lightning that had been streaking through the clouds reached out, using the moisture in the cloudy mist to hit everything in the condensation. All three would feel the effects, disorienting them and interrupting their gentle descent. Luckily, the invisible bottom was not far off and the adventurers would find themselves landing with a heavy thump but no serious injury. The rocky ledge they had landed on would be slightly clearer, the clouds sitting high enough to let them get a better view around them. The path continued on from where they landed, but everything was still slick. In their disoriented state, it would be a treacherous trip, given that the path winding down the side of the cliff was only about 2 meters wide with a sheer drop to one side and a tall wall on the other.

About ten meters in front of them, they would notice a shadowed form lying on the ground. If they were to approach it, it would appear as a small, huddled Harpy, seemingly nursing a wounded wing. It appeared as though the Harpy had suffered the same lightning strike as them while it was flying through the cloud and had been knocked to the ground in its disorientation.

(It was brought to my attention that any type of environmental damage would not affect a borg, as there is no ill-intent. I had forgotten. Zadi, the D-tier damage to your borg is being refunded, as your borg would not have reacted to the lightning strikes)

The struck lightning made Ani clench her teeth, but soon enough they made their way down to the next part of the path. She set Hoyo down and placed her hand on the rocky wall for support. "That was handy Zadi, good thinking using it to assist our descent." She said groaning as she looked around. Seeing the small size of the path she pat Hoyo and climbed on while sticking close to the wall with one hand on it. "Let's take small firm steps, so we don't slip as we walk." She stated groaning as she had Hoyo walk slowly.

Soon enough she saw the Harpy and looked back at Zadi nodding slightly. "I'm gonna check it out, and if needed help it." She said carefully getting off of Hoyo and walking while leaning against the cliff wall. She could tell the harpy was hurt from the way it was nursing it's wing. It was probably obvious that Ani was disoriented, and she made motions to show friendliness. Along with that Hoyo let out friendly hisses to show kindness. If the harpy would allow her to get closer she would look at where it was hurt to gauge the wounded wing. Once Ani would be done looking she climbed back onto Hoyo. If allowed the beast would move forward groggily and apply a salve lick to where the harpy was hurt. Hopefully Ani helping this beast wouldn't come back to bite her, but seeing the creature in such a state made her want to help.

Ani, Zadi, and Hoyo were struck by lightning that Zadi's borg didn't think was a threat. Again, Zadi's borg acted up for some reason, but at least it was in tip top condition in case an actual attack appeared. At least the group was only disoriented. After all, they also landed safely. Zadi didn't sustain any of his social spells for they weren't needed any longer. Maybe later, but for now everyone seemed to be able to see clearly enough for small steps.

Eventually, a harpy made an appearance, injured from lightning...somehow. Zadi didn't think the creatures in this dungeon could be damaged by lightning, especially since the lightning didn't even deal damage. Perhaps the lightning was able to disorient the harpy which caused it to crash, but that still left Zadi perplexed to some degree. Zadi carefully followed Ani and Hoyo, hoping the harpy wasn't faking the injury. If this creature acted as human as it looked, then perhaps an ambush was lying in wait. Zadi tried to whisper to Ani, "Might be bait for an ambush." Ani seemed to stay cautious, but Zadi didn't know if she heard his warning. Zadi kept in the background, trying to look friendly for Ani's sake.

The Harpy lay on the ground, seemingly in pain as Ani approached. As she approached, its head would turn as though to look at her, though it was simply a signal to others. Without warning, from the dense clouds, two more Harpy appeared, both immediately using Wing Buffer to try and strike Ani, Hoyo and Zadi. Zadi had been right to be suspicious, the ‘injured’ Harpy taking to the air as his comrades came just into sight at the edge of the clouds, no more than 7 meters from the adventuring group. The intent of the attack was to try and knock the invaders off the edge of the cliff. If they were not somehow able to combat against the attack, they would be looking at a sheer 30 meter drop onto sharp stones below.

Unfortunately, Zadi was correct. The 'injured' harpy was bait for an ambush involving two more harpies. These winged creatures were indeed as human-like as they looked. Thankfully for the dungeoneering group, one of Zadi's spells was off cooldown and usable again. With Zadi being within whispering distance to Ani and Hoyo, Spriggan's Aura would be able to clash with both Wing Buffers before they reached the ambushed trio. That is, if Spriggan's Aura could clash against anything. However, being disoriented didn't allow Zadi the luxury of thinking quick enough for a Plan B so this was the best he could pull off at a moment's notice.

With the Wing Buffers hopefully dealt with, Zadi moved onto the offensive, casting Slow Bro in order to mask his position and Gravity Lift, Stage 2 in order to get behind the harpies at 10 m/s. If successfully behind Harpy C, Zadi would attempt to slash twice at said harpy using Rukh Slayer, one slash per wing. Even if Zadi's attacks against Harpy C didn't work out, Zadi would follow up against Harpy B with two more slashes, again one slash per wing. Finally, even if Harpy B wasn't taken down, Zadi moved onto Harpy A and tried to attack from behind with two more slashes, one slash per wing. This would hopefully take down or injure at least one harpy, leaving Ani and Hoyo defend themselves or Zadi's image to keep him hidden. Zadi made sure his final pose before casting Slow Bro had Zadi with his sword drawn and looking as though he was ready to parry.

When the harpy had attacked Ani saw using his Aura again and guessed that he was going in for an attack. So at the exact same time Zadi attacked Ani attacked along with Hoyo to ensure the death of their foes. Ani turned and let out a ghastly howl towards harpy B while Hoyo used his new move voltage smash on harpy A. Luckily Ani was able to attack at the same time as Zadi so even if Ani wasn't able to take out a harpy she could at least be sure that she would be able to distract one of them as Zadi attacked them.

The first Harpy Zadi attacked was unprepared for the assault, focused on the image in front of them with Slow Bro and puzzled at how the man had managed to react so inhumanly fast after being struck by lightning. It gave a loud cry at the first sword strike and fell to the ground at the slashes of the sword. The cry of warning was more than enough for Harpy B to use Wing Shield as Zadi’s sword tried to strike at it, his wings protecting him effortlessly from both the sword and the Ghastly Howl Ani threw at it. As soon as the second sword strike finished, the middle Harpy would use Frazzled Flight, a massive electrical charge bursting out from its body. Its companion would be safe from damage, immune to lightning of any type, but Ani and her group would not be so lucky, the lightning aiming to numb their arms and deal a decent amount of damage. The last Harpy would follow suit, not questioning its partner seemingly random attack and using Frazzled Flight, the spell ejecting if Zadi still attempted to approach and attack, even as he was dealing with the repercussions of attacking the middle Harpy. The two remaining Harpy’s reacted in tandem, a seamless communication that spoke to how well they communicated and had fought together. Hoyo’s attack towards the Harpy was useless, the lightning-infused attack clashing against the Frazzled Flight.

The two remaining Harpy, though cautious, were nonetheless impressed that Zadi had not only managed to react so quickly after the rattling lightning strike, but had also managed to squeeze into the tiny space between them and the rock wall behind them as they hovered over the two meter-wide path, certain some type of sorcery had managed to make the strikes that felled their brethren, as it would have been nearly impossible for a human body to fit in between the space of the cliff and their body, let alone to draw a sword and swing it. But they also did not have much experience with other humanoid battle-foes.

Combat Details:
Harpy A: Hovering 10 meters from Ani and in the middle of the pathway (1 meter to the steep cliff wall at their back, 1 meter to the edge of the cliff on the other side) and top of their head just touching the cloud, using Frazzled Flight to strike at Ani, Zadi, and Hoyo. Hoyo’s attack is clashing with part of Frazzled Flight, meaning only HALF the damage of Frazzled Flight would go through to him (single target attack, so would not clash in reference to Ani or Zadi)
Harpy B: Hovering 7 meters above Ani and in the middle of the pathway (1 meter to the steep cliff wall at their back, 1 meter to the edge of the cliff on the other side) and their head just touching the clouds, right next to Zadi, used Wing Shield and then Frazzled Flight at Ani, Zadi, and Hoyo.

Zadi's borg clashes with Harpy B's Frazzled Flight which destroyed the borg, Zadi sustained Spriggan's Aura to clash completely against Harpy A's Frazzled Flight which protects Hoyo as well, and Zadi then uses the power of his Savage Ruby to try and deal an A+C-tier slash against Harpy A. Zadi continues to sustain Gravity Lift, Stage 2 and Slow Bro, keeping himself in the air and his image near Ani. Zadi knew Harpy A may still have a Wing Buffer up its sleeve, but didn't want to waste magoi/stamina on something that may or may not happen. If Zadi's borg didn't completely clash with Harpy B's Frazzled Flight, then Ani would have to deal with what remains.

Seeing the events that began to unfold Ani's mind began to kick into high gear allowing her to come up with a short strategy. She knew that Hoyo wouldn't be able to reach the other harpies in enough time for an attack. If Zadi wasn't able to protect her from the attack she'd wait for it to hit, but if it didn't hit her she would attack immediately. Either way as Zadi was attacking harpy A Ani used a summer breeze to send herself to Harpy b as fast as she could. Once she was in enough close Ani used the ability of her summer cloak to attack the harpy with a cone of hot air. Whether the harpy blocked or not Ani immediately followed up her sonic mask's ability to try and disorient it. After she did that Ani headbutt the harpy with all her force.

The swarm of attacks from the now-clear headed opponents proved too much for the Young Harpy duo, both collapsing to the ground. While one of the more intelligent of the creatures in the dungeon, their lack of experience in fighting things smarter than them proved to be their downfall. The defeat of the flying humanoids left the path clear to continue, the path remaining narrow and difficult to traverse if the adventurers chose to continue. The clouds revealed enough of the upcoming path that there were no apparent threats in the vicinity, but the winds were shifting and if they did not move fast, the path might be obscured in more clouds soon.

It seemed everything worked out, more or less. Ani and Hoyo were paralyzed by the harpies. This left Zadi ashamed for this was the first time anyone had ever been injured this badly within him in a dungeon. Granted, not like Zadi couldn't do anything about the wounds; Zadi used Nature's Focused Healing on Ani and Hoyo, one orb each. Their wounds ought to heal instantly leaving them paralyzed in some way. To give their paralyzed limbs some rest, Zadi used Social Group Gravity Lift, Stage 2, hovering not only Ani and Hoyo a foot off the ground but also Zadi, all at 5 m/s. Not far enough off the ground to get them struck by lightning...maybe. However, being in control of their movement didn't put Zadi in charge;

"Alright Ani, want to continue on the path? Just give the word and I'll float us along with ease."

As long as Zadi kept the gravity spell near the ground, the trio would be spared from additional lightning strikes, but they would still need to be cautious. The environment was just as dangerous as the creatures here, though far less punishing in most cases. The path would continue to be narrow with sharp fall-offs on either side, the scenery a drizzled jungle paradise broken up by streaks of lightning. As they flew, they would find themselves moving into a field that would attempt to contradict the effect of the gravity spell, slowing the speed even further as it tried to stagnate their movement while Ani and Hoyo continued to heal. Was it a set up for an ambush, a warning of an incoming lightning strike, or simply residual electromagnetic energy slowing them?

Having defeated three different types of enemies within the same dungeon, Zadi's Cautionary Sense kicked in allowing Zadi to know if further dungeon creatures are worth negotiations or not. Zadi's sense also allowed Zadi to sense oncoming danger. Fortunately, only an electromagnetic field was in Ani and Zadi's way. Perhaps lightning would strike. Perhaps not. Anyway, Zadi simply speed up the base speed of his Social Group Gravity Lift, Stage 2 such that the trio continued to move at 5 m/s. In case Ani couldn't tell the difference in gravity, Zadi notified her right away;

"Ani, there's been a change in gravity. Just thought you should know, if you didn't already."

Thinking back to the harpies, they didn't seem to be capable of manipulating gravity through their electric powers. Then again, perhaps the harpies didn't get a chance to manipulate gravity. Either which way, thinking back to the harpies reminded Zadi of the blood left on his sword. He could use that blood for Decipher. These harpies were much smarter than the crows, not to mention the wolves. Though, maybe Zadi wouldn't learn anything new and just waste magoi. Zadi kept his focus on the path and his surroundings and ignored the use of Decipher. A single path is all there seemed to be. No sense trying to decipher the obvious.

As Zadi and Ani traveled along the narrow pathway, floating through the electromagnetic field, they would find the field relatively small, breaking through after several minutes of traveling. After their battle with the Harpies, the sounds of other wildlife had vanished, leaving an eerie silence in the area. The only sounds were the echoing of the adventurers’ voices. The paralysis of Ani and Hoyo would dissipate, allowing the pair to move their limbs again just in time for them to come to a massive chasm.

Floating across the chasm were large rocks, hovering in the air thanks to the latent electromagnetism in the area. There seemed to be three distinct paths across the floating rocks. The stones were more than large enough to hold the entire group and were close enough to easily jump from one to the other, if they so desired. The three stones closest to the edge were marked with a familiar symbol, a lightning bolt etched into the stones. One seemed to have a purple glint, one had a blue glint and the third path had a yellow glint. Each led in drastically different paths across the chasm, the other side completely shrouded in mist and flashing streaks of lightning, making it impossible to decipher which would be best to take.

The group would need to decide which path to take, regardless of if they continued to fly or use the stones to jump. They could, of course, choose to ignore all paths and fly in whatever direction they chose, simply to see where it led. The choice was up to them.

OOC Note: Players will have 48 hours to respond. If within an electromagnetic field, all movement speed will be halved (this includes with the use of any mounts, biological or otherwise). If struck by lightning, the player will suffer disorientation for two posts (C-tier).

It wasn't long before Ani could feel her limbs once again and she let out a soft sigh her body tensing for a moment before she looked down at Hoyo who growled to signify that he was doing fine. "Good to hear buddy. " She said smiling softly as they floated until they finally made it to the three paths. Noticing that one of the paths matched the purple rune she had obtained. She pulled out the purple run showing it to Zadi. "We should go down the purple path, it matches the stone I got so it would make sense to follow it." She said nodding softly. If Zadi agreed she would continue down the purple path whether it was by floating or jumping. If Zadi disagreed she would listen to what he would have to say.
