Death king and the wondrous winter experience [Adrastos/Solomon]

Solomon would find himself standing over the bear with his bloody axe in hand, “hmmm that worked better than I thought it would.” Solomon would say out to himself as he made his way to Neo he would see the oncoming attack by what looked to be a much more fearsome Bear, which had ice protruding from it. The bear looked quite unnatural but Solomon had seen many things by this point that really made no sense and made the impossible quite possible. Even though Solomon was making his way to Neo he would not rush as he knew that he was strong enough to defend himself after watching him for the last couple of rounds he would point and notify Neo of the bear however if he did not notice it. But for this opponent Solomon would do nothing and see what else Neo had in his arsenal, it was not as If Solomon wished to uncover all his secrets he just found other people and their skills could be quite fascinating and couple possibly give him ideas for creating some on his own. He had similarly learned from Hohotaro a certain way to agile on his feet that could possibly allow him to dodge incoming attacks. However he knew it would be different when it came to magic as elements came into play and is much more difficult to learn by watching, but at this moment he had seen nothing he wished to copy as of yet as he did believe being unique was always good and did not wish to take that from someone.

After keeping a distance on the two of them till after he saw how Neo would deal with the threat, if he were to defend himself and kill the threat Solomon would then go to his side and immediately watch their surroundings to try and make sure that no creature could come upon them to quick without realizing it.

Round five. The magician expected there to be stronger opponents this time compared to the last, and his assumption was proven to be correct when a mucher larger bear than the previous ones appeared. Now they faced a singular monstrous bear covered in scars from past battles, and it had wasted no time in attacking first by sending an icicle at both the magician and the Imuchakk.

Solomon seemed to be doing nothing at all. He was apparently expecting Adrastos to do something about both the attack and the beast, a trait that irked the silver-haired man to no end. He responded by first commanding the rukh to perform the spell Aqua Vipera Glacialis Morsus to clash, then swiftly cast Aqua Cyclonas II.

Ability Used:

The bear would feel angered as his attack had been collided with, the creature in anger would then prepare, it needed to protect itself. It would use an icy storm in preparation to collide with the oncoming attack, the ice blast would disrupt the cyclones destroying them. Now that it was safe it would prepare it's next attack, it would run towards the large blue haired man with vigor. As it closed in it would attempt to claw the man. There were two of them so it would make things more difficult for the monster but it would attempt to kill him nonetheless. The magician might be a bigger threat as it had range, it had to be prepared for fighting.

Bear: Running at Solomon from 15m preparing to attack with a claw.

Enemy:

Solomon smirked a bit as it played out with Neo, he figured he was capable of defending himself and he was right. He was however quite surprised with the strength of the glacier bear but since Solomon was watching everything he would be easily able to prepare for the oncoming attack towards him, as the bear charged Solomon he would then use Thunder raising his axe above his head with one arm and smiled, then brought it down at a speed 15 m/s to then clash directly with the bears attack towards him. Solomon has not seen any beast as of yet that he feared at least none that he has remembered being much stronger then the rampaging unicorn that he has fought before, this beast did look strong however but there wasn't much he could not or run from and he only had one option in this situation. After clashing with the beast he would then launch use his other free hand to use a Basic Attack aimed for the bears chest however if that was not enough he would then use his other hand to use Thorn and as the thorn was created at a speed 20 m/s he would aim it for the jaws of the Bear, fully unleashed the thorn would be 1 meter in length and 15 cm wide tapered off to a point. If the bear was then dealt with he would then look around to see if any other enemies were coming if not he would grabs the bear fur and pull on it, "This would be a very good blanket or rug.... Depending on how this goes we may want to gain some salvage off the things we kill here."

Abilities Used:

The axe would strike down on the bear managing to puncture it's flesh with ease, the creature wailed out in pain. As it's blood leached from it's body the creature would be surprised as it was struck again by the man. The blood loss and the force of the extra attack would push the bear pass his limits causing him to die. With the creature defeated they would feel a sense of relief as they had made it past the half way mark. They would have a moment to talk and chat before they would move onto the 6th round, now that they had made it this far things would start to get more difficult by the moment. Who knew what else would be in store for them, things might overwhelm them they would just have to see.

Surprised at the fact that they had more time to chat which broke the pattern of the survival game they have began to take part in, Solomon really had nothing to say as it seemed as If Neo was not really the sharing kind of person, and anything he could ask he would be able to see through battle with him anyway. So Solomon remained silent unless spoken too, and he would prepare himself for the next checking himself to make sure all his weapons remained undamaged and he would then get himself close to Neo as he was unsure what the next round would bring since they were given peace did that mean the next round would be just as bad to destroy the time they had to recuperate?

Solomon was the one to defeat the bear when Adrastos did nothing after his attack was useless. He wasn’t sure how much longer they would be able to keep going, and with stronger enemies arising, the likelihood of them seeing the end was slim. The Imuchakk had also stopped talking; he probably knew that whatever tedious questions were on his mind about his fighting style would be answered through battle and not idle chat.

Adrastos sighed while rubbing the bridge of his nose. How many more of these rounds were there going to be? It seemed to be endless, but at the same time, the magician couldn’t help but feel a bit… Bored? Or was he more infuriated with this seemingly meaningless fight? After all, it was unlikely that they would get any answers but fighting. He still didn’t know how they came to be here, why they were here, or who brought them here.

“This whole arena thing is annoying,” he grumbled.

The 6th round would begin with them hearing a loud roaring sound, something was moving towards them fast, and it wasn't slowing down. As they looked up they would see that a large walrus was flopping across the snow and ice to get to the pair. It didn't seem very ferocious or deadly but they would be able to tell that's what the creature was coming to do. It's Tusk's were shining brilliantly in the sun as it would stop short of pair, around 12m in front of the magician. The creature peered at the unsuspecting man, it looked so harmless besides the massive teeth it had. This was how it fooled people, it would peer at them seemingly acting as if it was weeak then would wait for them to approach it.

Wailrus: 12m across from Neo, waiting for them to make a move

Enemy:

Solomon turned his head in curiosity as he saw the next opponent, “Odd cute little creature” he would say, but he still held his axe firmly in his hand as there was nothing in this place that was not an enemy to them as of yet. He was not however going to rush the fat blubbery creature however, he would do what they did the first round when the bears watched and waited he would just copy the creature and watch it. As he knew the quicker they killed the creature the sooner more would come and following the pattern there would be more than one creature next round, and this would be the perfect opportunity to rest if their opponent would give them the time. Solomon seemed to notice that he was not paying much attention to him rather than Neo which he found odd but convenient, so he would take the opportunity to walk angled to try and circle around to the back side of the Wailrus but keeping the distance they had between them.

Solomon was unsure of how Neo would act but as long as it was one creature he did not feel the need to waste his magoi if he could avoid it, he would put trust in his axe and his own strength.

Adrastos turned to look at this ‘odd little creature’ Solomon was referring to, only to see that the next opponent was no where near the description the Imuchakk gave. Since when did little mean eight meters tall? Little would be accurate in terms to a rabbit, cat, dog, or something along those lines. This thing couldn’t be in the same class as those. “I believe we have very different dictionaries, Solomon.”

The tusks which gleamed with saliva were frighteningly deadly. It’s massive size would be enough to crush the poor magician if he were to find himself beneath its enormous body. The beady eyes were watching Adrastos’ actions, seeing what he would do, but the silver-haired man would not move much while casting Glacialis Lamnia at the walrus and putting at least 5 more meters between him and their new opponent.

Abilities Used:

The Wailrus would be defeated by the attack, the sword of ice tearing through his flesh like it was no issue. It fell over in defeat from the magicians construct, with it now dead they would have completed the 6th round. Their bodies would be replenished from the fight, there would be a small sense of accomplishment that they would feel. Now moving onto the 7th round they would have to fight a more monster, this time there would be two wailrus. One would appear 10m behind Adrastos while the other would appear 12m to the right of Solomon. They would watch and wait for their moment to strike but these ones weren't going to go down easily like the other.

Enemy:

Solomon just stood straight and looked to Neo, “Was there any point in me moving at all?” Solomon felt refreshed but also quite bored; each of them could probably handle these creatures alone without the help of each other it took much of the thrill out of the “survival” aspect. He did however notice that the creatures were getting stronger as they went, so at some point and time he did have hope that the thrill would get going. Looking at Neo he would be able to point out the beast that appeared behind him, “Another one behind ya.” Solomon would say to Neo, and then would turn to meet his creature, it was quite predictable that there would be two of them and most likely three the next round. This time however Solomon would deal with his own beast so it would at least give him something to do, he would start by using his life magic to use Natures Loyalty having roots and vines erupt from the ground and form into a Root Hound at the speed of 25 m/s and then also immediately use Natures Greed again having vines and roots erupt from the ground at 20 m/s to form a Spriggan both the creatures would then charge one to the left and one to the right of the beast and Solomon would then charge slightly behind the other two but coming straight at the creature. Gripping his rampaging axe tightly he was prepared to use a Basic Attack against the creature if his Root Hound and Spriggan did not get the job done, he would swing multiple times if necessary swinging first for his head then another Basic Attack to its chest. He believed the beast would be severely overwhelmed with now three attacks coming at him at almost the same time.

Abilities Used:

Adrastos turned when Solomon warned him of yet another enemy that was behind him. The magician cast Glacialis Lamnia then Adrustum Aura, using the brief boost of energy that washed over his weary muscles. Whether his spells would inflict any damage would be difficult to discern until later, but it was better than nothing. The replenished energy, however, did not feel abundant enough to carry on for much longer. Unlike Solomon, Adrastos had no strength to rely on, no brute force hidden deep within.

How much longer would this fight go on? Solomon was doing decent, but like him, wore a face shrouded with boredom and disinterest. “You seem to be doing pretty well,” he said, not counting how neutral the Imuchakk was being.

Abilities Used:

The creatures both weary would keep their postilions as the attacks headed towards them, each using a blubber shield to stay safe. Their shield were damaged but once the attacks were blocked they would continue their charges into battle. Before they would do this they would test the enemies. They would each let out a deadly wail, they would have to think fast to destroy the attacks in enough time. These beasts were smart and were trying to overcome them, with that if they were busy clashing they would get the chance to move closer. These monsters weren't anything like the previous bears, they were much smarter and much stronger.

Wailrus A: 12m to the right of Solomon, using wail

Enemy:

Solomon could watch as both of his beasts fell, he did not have time to look to Neo as he would have to continue his attacks, thankfully however he would be able to sustain both of his creatures Natures Loyalty and Natures Greed the root hound would explode almost instantly as it clashed with the beast charging into it, but Solomon would continue to circle the beast as his Spriggan would then attack the Wailrus and Solomon would take that opportunity to attack from the opposite direction making that Wailrus chose which he would attempt to stop, Solomon would use his fists as a Basic Attack at this point knowing the strength of his blade was just not enough it failed the first time and he would not fail this time, he knew he could do considerable amount more damage with his two hands than any weapon he has. He would trust that Neo would be able to handle himself and continue to worry about the current threat in front of him until the beast is dead.

Sustained Abilities:

Adrastos didn’t have time to send another attack after his first two were deflected and a wail was coming his direction. Reacting quickly, Adrastos sustained his two previous spells, Glacialis Lamnia, which would clash with the Deadly Wail, and Adrustum Aura. The magician also cast Black Smog, a relatively weak spell, but hoped it would suffice for now since he was running low on Magoi despite the boost he received earlier. Solomon, from his perspective, seemed to be doing better than he was, and that was all thanks to the Imuchakk’s natural strength. He damned them all right now, but not more than this endless battle.

Abilities Used:

The blue haired man would finish of the beast he was fighting, with this the fight would become easier. His attacks managed to pierce the and bruise it's large body, falling over in defeat. On the other hand the magician was struggling but would managed to land a few blows, after the clash his attack hit and he was covered in the fog. With his vision covered he would try to move forward but his arm was frozen causing the flopping to be harder. This was now his chance, despite being tired there would be an oppurtunity for them to finish of the last remaining beast.

Wailrus A: Dead
Wailrus B: 10m away from Neo, C-tier damage taken, blinded and barely able to move bc frozen flipper arm thing.

Enemy:

Now defeating the beast that he had he would look to Neo, he would see that he has yet to defeat his target but was not in great danger. However knowing that Neo seemed to be strickly a magician as he has yet to see any physical strength or martial art come out of him thus far he would have to save his magoi which made things easier on Solomon then Neo so he would immediately begin to dash towards the two of them and hopefully having the surprise on the wailrus from a flanking position he would the his his open hand the attempt a basic attack by driving the head of the creature into the ground. If that was not enough to subdue the beast he would at least act as a distraction till Neo was able to finish off the beast, as it was now two on one and the beast being blinded and frozen temporarily to finish off this beast should be some what easy.

As the blue haired man drove his fist into the  the wailrus it would be finished, they had finished the 7th round. They would now move onto the 8th round soon nearing the end of this hellish battle fest. A large bear like the one they fought in round 5 would make an appearance on the battle field. It would stop just 15m short of Solomons right side. Then to the left of Neo was once again another wailrus, he sat there 14m away. Both of the animals looked at their prey wondering when they would move. Normally enemies the two beasts would try and cooperate in order to get a nice meal.

Wailrus: 14m to the left of Neo
Glacial Bear: 15m to the right of Solomon

Enemy:

Thankfully the two of them were quite close since Solomon was able to deal with the Wailrus for Neo, but surprisingly they did not have much time in between this time before the next to beasts were upon them. The first creature Solomon would see was a large bear that looked like the one they defeated in early rounds, then turning he would also see another Wailrus, this time however they did not charge them right away and Solomon knew that he would have to be more considerate of Neo this round. In doing so Solomon did not charge either of the creatures but stood his ground firmly near Neo he would start by using his Amulet of Destruction main’s skill summoning a pebble that is 10 cm in diameter and he would then have it fly towards the giant Bear at 25 m/s thankfully being 15m away from Solomon that would give the rock time to grow in size as it pulls in the dirt moving towards the large Bear. Assuming that may give him some time or it may just deal with the bear for good he would then turn towards the Wailrus and grab a handful of seeds from his pouch to the throw towards the creature to then use Nature's Fury producing a 15m high growth of trees that would move towards the Wailrus like a wave destroying the ground as it moved towards him at a speed of 20 m/s. If they were not dealt with the trees would remain and look odd in the contrast of the environment around them, they would not be able to live long but they did live. He would have to be cautious of both of the creatures till he saw what Neo was going to do next.

Magoi: 85/250

Abilities Used:

It seemed as his attack was more then enough to over power the Bear as if it took on the skill without reacting at all taking the skill head on thinking it was nothing, now it laid in shambles on the ground it looked as if the rock had crushed most of his bones and the ice spikes that came off of it were destroyed. However looking at the Wailrus he could see that his skill had made contact with the animal in the same manner it stood there almost as if it was stunned and did not react and by the looks of it, the creature didn't have to as it took B-Tier damage but was still not enough to kill it. The tree's remained tall slowly as the frost began to cover over its many leafs, but knowing now it was down to only one creature he would leave Neo's side and charge with his axe in hand, he would attempt to rush the creature in his stunned like status to swing using a Basic Attack. He knew since his tree's did collide into the creature it wouldn't take much more to take out the final creature.

With the Bear and one of the Wailrus’ now out of the fight from Solomon’s attack, Adrastos could focus on the remaining Wailrus. His silver eyes bore into the cold, emotionless pupils of his enemy, showing the beast that he would not go down easily. The magician inhaled sharply, feeling the sting of the cold air shoot through his nostrils and pierce his lungs, he flicked his Malevolent Shadow wand outward, uttering the words to send Nemesis Sol at the Wailrus.

Now that the spell had been cast, Adrastos felt the toll it took on his body. The next spell would be more painful; he would no doubt suffer from exhaustion as his eyes bled and maybe close to not moving. This realization made the magician realize that he didn’t have the chance to see this fight to the end.

Abilities Used:

As the attacks headed towards him he would block them with a blubber shield, making the basic attack useless and blocking the mage's attack. IT would then use a deadly wail to try and damage the both of them. With them both in close proximity it was close to hitting them but it also allowed the warrior a chance to close the distance and damage it too. It was all a matter on how well they worked together. With the wailrus by itself it was outnumbered and had a better chance of losing at this point if they played their cards right.

Wailrus: 14m to the left of Neo using Deadly wail
Glacial Bear: Dead

Enemy:

Having his melee attack blocked by the creature left Solomon in close proximity of the creature which would usually be a good thing, however that left him with not much time to block the Deadly Wail so he would then have to clash with it using Nature's Warning to have roses and vines erupt from the earth surrounding Solomon at 20 m/s he was unsure if this would stop it for Neo however he did not take the time to think about it he would then immediately after use Thorn generating a thorn from the palm of his hand which would shoot out towards the creature as he went around the creature so it could not watch him and Neo at the same time. This way they could still fight as individuals Solomon would just have to make sure not to be hit by Neo’s attacks or just deal with it himself as he already seemed to be quite tired and reacting much slower then when they started. Knowing that the beast had already taking on his prior attack full force the creature would be more on the defence but Solomon would make sure he would not be able to go on the offence as even if one attack was stopped he would continue to then attack again. After using Thorn he would then use his open hand to use a Basic Attack in hope that his fist would do the job allowing himself and his partner time to rest to regain their strength.

Magoi: 40/250

Abilities Used:

“We’re both running on empty, Solomon. I can only rely on my magic, and because of that, I will only be able to perform one or two more crucial spells before I tap out of this little dance of death. You, on the other hand, can rely on your knowledge of magic and swordplay, but the most important trait you have and I lack is your race’s natural strength. I normally don’t lean on others, but for the last stretch, I don’t have any other choice. Will that be a problem? If so, I’m open to suggestions.”

The wailrus’ wail was deflected by the magician’s borg, thankfully saving him from wasting anymore magoi than necessary. This endless fight was redundant, almost like a single memory replaying in a loop over and over again. Enemies appeared, they fought, then there was a victor. During this altercation, there had been no signs of anyone watching, indicating that this whole scenario was put into play with a purpose. Adrastos knew there had to have been someone who wanted this all to happen; there was no reason for it to suddenly happen at random, but why? What was the angle? What was someone trying to achieve? Eight rounds with no answers while being filled with senseless fighting. Whatever was the cause, whoever was behind this, if anyone at all… The magician felt the need to figure it out.
