Spoiler:

The mighty dragon was displeased with the interference of experienced warriors thwarting her efforts. The call for help from one of her kindred had awakened the thirst for blood inside and she was finding this slaughter quite invigorating. As her army of creatures fell, one after the other, she knew she would need to deal with this matter herself. Up until now, it was no trouble to simply use her ancient magics to influence the creatures from a distance, tapping into the primal portion of them that despised sharing land with the two-legged creatures that changed the terrain had been quite easy. No truly wild creature appreciated what humans did. She had been hibernating under the sand since her arrival in this land, weary after her travels from the Dark Lands. This world was nothing like what she used to live in and the two-legged creatures had forgotten her race, it seemed, so she had burrowed deep into the ground, hoping they might simply die off. But then had come the call from her sister-dragon.

"Slay them all, remind them of what we once were."

All that had responded to the call had agreed and begun influencing the world around them to slowly kill off the blight of humans in their area. Their sister in the mountains across the sea had fallen, unassisted by their serpentine brethren who was worshiped in the area. But she would not fail in her task, she would destroy these warriors and then move her army on to the eyesore of Heliohapt, the atrocious temple here had only been the beginning.

((OOC: Players may post freely after this and control the dragon. Any Clairvoyance spell will be able to bring up the words of the sister-dragon or the dragon being the one to influence the creatures in the area, but nothing from before the hibernation.))

Just when both of the warrior exited the temple, the priest that they met before rushing out towards both Zadi and Tenma. He would call them as the brave warrior until both of the men turned their head only to see the priest panted with a pale face. “We found out the source of the aggressive creatures came from… It might be something which has great magical ability and it is definitely coming closer.” Tenma and Zadi would notice the fear on the priest’s expression and his fingers were trembling in fear, as if this source which has great magical abilities was something dangerous and something terrifying. The one eyed man would approach the priest closer and gave him an assuring pat on his shoulder without disrespecting him, “We understand. We will investigate the matter and try our best to stop the creature that you mentioned. However, all I can say for now is only to prepare for the worst as we have not known about this creature’s strength at all.” The priest nod weakly before sighing heavily, “You are right… It will approach the temple from the north side, so both of you might want to head there soon. We will pray for your success and safety, may Ra bless you.”

Thus, Tenma would head to the north with his companion to see what kind of creature that would approach. However there was some kind of uneasiness inside his heart, the swordsman was expecting this creature to be a very powerful one as it has the ability to cause the other creature to be aggressive. “Zadi.” He called, his tone was having a hint of doubt. “What kind of creature do you think we will face?” He chuckled, mocking himself to have a little doubt in his mind. “I personally think it won’t be easy, definitely not like the creatures we fought before… But let’s hope this one is going to be a fun one!” It was clear that not only doubt that he felt at the moment, it was also mixed with this kind of excitement to be able to fight a very powerful creature if what the priest described was right. Right now, he just needed to enjoy it to the fullest and tried to remove all the doubt that he had.

The black haired man recalled something that Zadi explained to him and he thought it might be helping them this time. “….I remembered about the Clairvoyance magic that you mentioned to me before. Perhaps you can use it again this time? I am having the thought that this creature who acts as the source must be an intelligence creature. It might be able to talk and probably we will get something from it...but my only worry is… if something happened with the spell and let’s says the worst case is it failed, will your mind break?” For someone like Tenma who was not too familiar with magic, it was something that he would question as he assumed it was the kind of magic that would require you to ‘see’ with your mind. He wouldn’t want to take the risk of his companion breaking his mind, so he would just let the blonde man decide what was the best.

After getting back to the temple, Tenma and Zadi were once again sent off to do the dirty work. However, with everything that has been going on and the pattern rising up, Zadi just knew that there could only be one real enemy left. However, Zadi was expecting a person, not a dragon. Unfortunately, Zadi would only find out upon finding the creature so for now Zadi would believe there to be some sort of villainous magician approaching the Black Pyramid from the north. Anyway, Zadi followed next to Tenma towards the locations specified by the priest that informed the two slayers. Zadi didn't think he needed to use his Clairvoyance magic in a situation like this unless something unexpected turned out to happen that would change his mind, such as a dragon in place of a person. Tenma's reassurance towards the priest made Tenma more human than Zadi once thought he was a few minutes or hours ago. The dry heat was messing with Zadi's mind so perhaps it was only a few seconds since fighting the two large creatures. All the same, Tenma wasn't crazy. Zadi was crazy. The heat was getting to him and his paranoid self was acting up against Zadi's nonexistent judgment. Maybe that's why he never guess the creature behind this whole incident to be a dragon of all things. Though, the idea that dragons still exist is rather ludicrous. Zadi hasn't even encountered a dragon in any dungeon, just large serpents with an affinity towards their respective dungeons.

Walking towards their destination, Tenma brought up Zadi's Clairvoyance magic. Zadi still didn't think a 'creature' was behind this whole mess, but he entertained the idea by responding, ""Ha! My mind wouldn't break unless the 'creature' had some sort of massively complicated defense in place, but I'd probably only use that magic to figure out if this 'creature' is truly behind this whole incident. Though, to be honest, I highly doubt that a creature intelligent enough could cause this mess using magic of any kind. If it was a dragon, then maybe, but they've been gone for a while now so I doubt they are involved, haha." Zadi's single minded focus on a magician being the cause of all this trouble stuck way too hard in Zadi's mind such that if he actually saw the dragon, the cause of this whole problem, Zadi wouldn't believe it. But what about Lagi's dragon? Well, the setting was outside a tavern, a drinking establishment among other things, so Zadi thought he saw a drunken hallucination. However, Zadi believed it to be related to Lagi somehow. Zadi felt Lagi within the 'hallucination' so it wasn't odd looking at the massive thing without a gaping mouth, "If the creature behind this incident is really a DRAGON of all things, then I'll eat my own two feet-"

And then Zadi got a good, hard look at the black dragon flying towards the Black Pyramid. It changed direction towards Tenma and Zadi, but Zadi was too distracted by the idea that this dragon wasn't real, "I think the heat is getting to me, because I see a dragon coming towards us...Tenma...by any chance...do you also see a black dragon?"

The moment when Zadi mentioned a dragon, Tenma couldn’t help but suspecting the ancient creature might be used to be the source of this chaos. As someone who was attracted to the eastern culture, he knew that it was a creature that they hail, a great creature that they worshipped as their ancient deities. However, it was unbelievable as it was kind of a rare sight, the only dragon that he ever saw was the King’s dragon and that was all. So he tried to think of something else when he saw a massive creature, probably bigger than the last one they fought and he was surprised by the dragon attempt to reveal itself too judging from their number which probably was not so many. This couldn’t be real… so now they needed to fight a dragon; that very thought made Tenma shiver in excitement.

This could be a very dangerous task but he wanted to feel it, he wanted to know how it felt like to fight such a strong creature. His warrior blood boiled and he could feel how he wanted to battle with the dragon, however, he was still insane to know that it wouldn’t be an easy task as the dragon could just take his life easily like he was a worthless being in front of her mighty claws. “…Guess you will be eating your own two feet, eh, Zadi?” The black haired man chuckled playfully and gave the blonde man a friendly pat on his back. He would then point at the direction of the dragon which already changed her direction towards both of them, “That, my friend…is definitely a black dragon and it is really coming towards us.” Tenma looked a little bit nervous about the dragon’s arrival, but he prepared himself by being offensive.

The dragon soared at the blue sky just above the scorching sands and screeched, as if she was not happy with something. Her piercing glare was full of murderous intention towards both of the warrior, she wanted to crush Tenma and Zadi like a pulp, giving them no mercy at all. She began to screech again, as if she was trying to say something. “Foolish human… All of you are an eyesore that needs to be destroyed!” If Zadi used his clairvoyance skill, then he might be able to hear what the dragon said. However, Tenma on the other side just needed his ally’s ability to use the clairvoyance magic to find out what was in the dragon’s mind. The dragon would then maneuvered herself to swipe its claws through the sand and resulting the sand being thrown towards Tenma and Zadi, attempting to deal some damage. But luckily for them, Tenma had something to be used, so he looked at Zadi. “Sorry, pal.” He said before pulling the blond man by force so he would be between the one eyed man and the shield as Tenma started to activate his Onyx Block to block the attack and used Shakunetsu no Yogan. Once he got the chance to move a little bit, Tenma would then threw four knives towards the dragon and followed by throwing another knife, using his Suzumebachi skill.

Tenma's joking statement made Zadi chuckle a little, too. However, the time for laughing was over as the dragon, the very real dragon, of black scales and dark wings was flying towards the two warriors with great flight speed. Tenma was more ready than Zadi was and pulled him out of the way when the dragon came roaring in, saying a statement that Zadi understood with the help of his Wildman Charm. While roaring, the dragon used Blinding Splash in order to try and damage the two pitiful humans, with an added blinding effect. However, Tenma was ready with his shield blocking all the sand from not only damaging Tenma and Zadi but also keeping both sets of eyes sand-free. Tenma followed up by attacking the black dragon with a volley of projectiles and an ability from his shield, similar to the one used to defeat the remaining scorpions from earlier. Unfortunately, the dragon was able to outmaneuver four weak projectiles, but was severely damaged by all the other Tenma-related attacks, receiving A-tier damage in total.

The dragon was hurt which prompted a sharp turn around the two warriors. Zadi tried to follow, but the dragon used its Mirage technique, turning itself invisible to not only Tenma, but also Zadi. A natural technique without the use of magic left even Zadi blind to the happenings of the now invisible dragon. Zadi's boredom quickly dissipated knowing full well that he'd have to not only pull out his best skills, but work together with Tenma in order to fight this massive creature successfully, "You and me Tenma, back to back."

Zadi quickly positioned himself facing opposite of Tenma, then informing him of how the two of them would continue fighting an invisible foe, "The aura technique I'm using right now won't let me see the dragon, but it will let me know how close it is. When I tell you, use as many techniques within 12 meters of us in all directions." Zadi made sure to whisper without the use of the Wildman Charm so that the dragon would be unable to hear Zadi's makeshift plan. Not the greatest plan ever, but it had to do. After all, Spriggan's Aura only allowed Zadi to know the biological signature of a creature within a specific range, not the actual location or anything important. However, at least knowing how close the creature would be is enough. Zadi already had two biological tags. His own and Tenma's. If another entered, then that most likely meant the dragon. If it was some small pest or rodent...then Zadi's plan was screwed. That is, unless Tenma figured something out.

However, Zadi wasn't given much more time to contemplate on his plan so all he could do was say 'now' when the time was right, and that time was, "NOW!" The dragon did indeed enter within the range of Spriggan's Aura, but where the dragon's position was is still a mystery, so all that Zadi could do, with Tenma unless he was smarter, was fire a volley of spell all over the place, specifically Kthyr Alyzr (A-tier damage, single group of beams) upwards, Blade Dance in front of Zadi (15 meters tall, 5 meters away), Ignite to Zadi's left, and a punching Summoned Butler to Zadi's right. With how close Tenma was to Zadi, Zadi's borg would also protect Tenma if the need arose.

All that Zadi could do was hope the dragon was hit by SOMETHING.

Tenma chuckled and let Zadi watched his back while he did the same, “Deal.” Then he would listen to what the blonde magician wanted to tell him, it was definitely not an easy thing to be done but he would try. The plan had a lot of risk in the swordsman opinion, indeed they would need to attack from every direction possible, but they needed to watch out just in case something other than the dragon entered. But if he ended up killing an innocent one, he would take the blame. He got ready to attack as he put his hand on his Katana’s handle, ready to unsheathe it to everything that would bring them to danger. When Zadi said that now was the time, Tenma sheathed his sword and planned to protect Zadi’s back while the heat magician casting his magic all over the place.

Suddenly the magic that the magician cast upwards was being clashed by the dragon as she used her tail whip, the dragon screeched after that and revealed herself. Tenma was surprised that the dragon was already in front of him, readying her claws and attempting to cut Tenma into pieces with her basic attack. However the black haired man sent out a quick sharp slashes to stop the attack and performed four quick sharp slashes. If the dragon took the attack, Tenma would then call his companion, “Zadi! Finish her!”

The swordsman would move aside to give the magician some space that he needed to land a final blow towards the dragon and to do something that might need to be done like using his ability to decipher what the dragon wanted. The black haired man could just hope that this would be the last enemy that they needed to fight, considering the strength of the enemy increased every time they needed to fight. Not that Tenma worried that he would not able to deal with all of them, it was just because it might cause many casualties and that would not be a good thing to happen to Heliohapt.

He hoped that his companion could understand the reason behind of these almost endless attacks so that they could prevent something bigger and more dangerous to happen. However, the black haired man got the feeling that this wouldn’t be finished quickly; there might be something else like this in the other country. If things went like this, then maybe they had their own supreme leader who made them all visited each countries only to destroy it. He would keep an eye to watch, probably the magician didn’t need to be protected, but still, no one knew what would happen. He did notice the uncontrollable anger from the dragon’s eyes when she was flying towards him and it was the sign that things would not be easy.

After the volley of attack from both participants, Zadi's Kthyyr Alyzr was the attack to 'hit' the black dragon. However, the dragon may have been hit by the beam yet also clashed with it perfectly. This dragon meant serious business, if nothing else. That was made even more clear when Zadi used Decipher in order to truly understand the dragon's motives and whether or not the dragon was the 'magician' that Zadi thought operated behind the scenes;

"Hmmm, seems that this dragon was called upon, too. However, she was the one to control the beasts we fought before. Shame, thought there would be more to this than fighting creatures and using Decipher."

With the help of Spriggan's Aura and Decipher, Zadi was finally able to put the pieces together; the black dragon came out of a LONG hibernation and felt that the humans needed to be killed. 'Minions' were sent first in order to soften any resistance, but with Tenma and Zadi getting in the way, the dragon thought a direct approach would turn out better.

Knowing this didn't change what needed to be done. The dragon was too dangerous to keep alive, what with it being able to control other, lesser creatures. Therefore, Zadi would try and do just what Tenma told him to do; finish her. How Tenma knew the gender was a mystery, but the eye-patched swordsman knew what had to be done in order to complete this series of troublesome events.

The dragon was staggered mid-air by Tenma's clash with the creature's talons. This gave Zadi enough time to activate Gravity Lift Stage 2, fly above the creature with Rukh Slayer, and lung for the dragon's skull with pinpoint accuracy using the full power of the Savage Ruby! All this would allow Zadi to deal A-tier+ damage with Rukh Slayer, killing the dragon. The black dragon fell to the ground, defeated, killed, and thwarted. Zadi whipped his sword clean of the blood and sheathed it. Zadi never thought he'd kill the first dragon he personally encountered, much less with another person, Tenma. Zadi wondered what Tenma was thinking of all this, killing a majestic creature. At least Tenma and Zadi would be rewarded, "She just didn't like humans. She hibernated thinking that the humans of her era would go extinct. Turns out that the dragon went extinct, more or less, so she got angry and you know the rest about the brainwashed beasts."

Zadi sighed and walked back towards the Black Pyramid with Tenma, ready to end this fiasco with a hefty reward.
