Job:

When they headed to the temple, Tenma would look at his companion while still walking side to side. But no words uttered by the swordsman, he just want to take a look of Zadi’s face, amused by the fact this man could look at the serpent with bank stare and capable to kill it without showing some kind of remorse. After that, he would sigh lightly and looked forward, continued his steps towards the temple and then gratefully received his rewards. However, the swordsman preferred to ask for more question regarding the attack matter, wanting to know if the priest had some kind of update. “I am thanking you for your hard work, warriors. I couldn’t be more grateful then this, I hope the reward is enough.” Then he took a second to pause before continuing again, “However, there is more danger coming. I got the information that two large sized creatures are heading towards the temple. I am pleading you, please take care if those creatures.”

After giving an assuring smile, the one eyed man nodded at his companion before heading out towards where the creatures were. Luckily for them, the priest had given them an exact place of where to find them right away, both of the massive creatures was spotted on the horizon. Yet, the black haired man concern was just the size of the creatures; he wondered how massive the creatures were and mentally imagined it. “…I wonder how large they are…” He murmured while gripping his Katana which was hanged on his waist, his mind wandered again to imagine if his Katana was capable to fight something massive or not. He would laugh mentally, scoffing himself and asked himself if he was afraid of what might be coming. But no, he was not afraid at all, not even the slightest. He was just excited and couldn’t wait to see the size of the creature and how dangerous it was. “Don’t you think this is getting interesting, my friend? I am very curious and eager to know what is behind this series of attack.”

The moment they arrived, the one eyed man would be taken aback by the sight of how massive the creatures were. There were some kind of excitement that sparked in his eye, making him looked like a little boy who just found his new toy. The creatures were indeed huge as it stood firmly on the scorching sand, he assumed they must be around five meters long and two meters tall. Their hard skin looked like what the sand snake, the creatures they fought before had on their scales and probably protected them from weak attack as well. He liked the creatures and couldn’t wait to be in a closer distance with them to witness their beauty up close. After observing them for a while, he would then reach for his water satchel and wetting his throat before putting it back so it could hang on his waist. There were two enemies so far, and it would be a fair share for both of them. So Tenma would pat his companion on his shoulder lightly, before saying with a happy smile and playful tone, “One for each if that is okay or you.”

The serpents were dealt with and Zadi didn't feel remorse over their deaths. Seems rather harsh to feel no remorse for killing something that couldn't help itself, but Zadi thought what about the situation through the serpent's point of view, more so because of using Decipher earlier, so he knew that the serpents weren't in their right mind. Killing them was all that could be done in such a tough setting. After all, the injured needed healing and the serpent's minds weren't injured. They were warped and confused, not something life magic could simply 'heal' on a whim. Anyway, the priests gave Tenma and Zadi their respective rewards for the tasks up to this point in time, specifically for dealing with the scorpions and the serpents. However, the priests had another task prepared for the two creature slayers, also involving creatures. Quite a surprise, if it was opposite day. Zadi sighed at the news but readily accepted all the same. Not as though Zadi was getting bored of killing confused creatures over and over again. Tenma may feel differently, but Zadi didn't feel like prying. Zadi just quietly followed alongside Tenma in order to get to the area where the large creatures were last seen heading towards the Black Pyramid.

Tenma had an air of excitement around his posture. Zadi was worried that he'd partnered up with a maniac by accident, but seeing as Tenma's rukh weren't black, Zadi didn't really know what to think. Perhaps Tenma was on the brink of attaining black rukh? Or maybe Zadi was getting so tired of all this hunting that he's making things up in his head. Been a while since Zadi killed so many things in such a short amount of time. In just a few days, Zadi had defeated or killed three cultists, three scorpions, two flying serpents, and now the count would rise to another one or two creatures. However, Zadi may be able to find out some information using Decipher. Things may be looking up in this investigation. All the same, Zadi was getting tired of slaying so many things and getting no information. If Zadi didn't get any new information from these creatures, then he might die from boredom some time in the next few hours. Tenma spoke of his excitement which prompted Zadi to speak of his, "Hehehe, sure. I'm excited as long as I can rest later. This is getting to be quite a chain of events for one day."

Eventually, Tenma and Zadi came across the two large creatures that the priests sent the two errand boys to take care of. Zadi saw the creatures and was amazed that the priests only said 'large' and not 'massive' in their report. These things were quite something to behold considering that deserts don't normally house creatures larger than a meter in height, aside from serpents. To encounter beasts of this size was quite rare which confused Zadi. There were two of them, probably of opposite genders, so why come all the way out here just to find a safe mating ground? This old solidified the already solid idea that these creatures were being manipulated by an outside party. Again, Zadi became frustrated knowing that using Decipher would do nothing like with the serpents. Zadi's gut feeling told him that looking at these creature's past wouldn't garner anything of value, so Zadi just decided to kill the rare animals in hopes of getting all this fighting done with. There couldn't possibly by any stronger creatures in these vast sands so whoever this outside party was would need to come out and personally deal with Tenma and Zadi, "One for one. Cool."

Tenma chuckled and nodded at the blonde man reply, then he would slowly walk towards the creatures. He had no plan to rush and preferred to observe this magnificent creature for a while, wanting to learn about the features that these massive creatures had. His mind began to wander into a wretched way soon as he kept staring at the creatures, wondering how much strength he should pour into his Katana in order to cut the desert fang up. He wondered about the color of its blood and how warm it would be. He would keep being dazed until the growl of the creatures snapped him back into the reality. It seemed he unconsciously walked from his observation spot and accidentally revealed himself. However, it was not a bad thing to happen as Tenma was already planning to attack it soon. So by using the chance, Tenma would chuckle darkly while maneuvered himself to walk a little bit further from Zadi to give him some space to use his attack. The one eyed man would let out a playful growl towards the beast who was now staring at him with eyes full of killing intention, which soon started to move towards the swordsman.

As soon as it had a close enough range to deliver his attack, Tenma unsheathed his Katana and quickly performed two quick sharp slashes only to find that it didn’t work. So he was right, the hard plate on its body protected him to some level of power. However, it was not his strongest attack so he could definitely find out which level of strength was appropriate to beat this creature. The beast was not a very friendly beast it seemed as it quickly attempting to swipes out its claw towards Tenma, but the swordsman quickly used his parry to redirect the attack. Yet, the attack didn’t just stop, it also attempted to bites down Tenma which once again being parried II by the one eyed man himself.

He could feel his blood boiling in excitement, as expected from the power of this massive creature could made Tenma amused and enjoyed the fight so much. Most of his fight couldn’t be mentioned as a enjoyable one, so far he only enjoyed a few fights, probably because his enemies were somehow didn’t  have the will to fight him back, thus, making it boring for him. Tenma would smirk evilly before performed four quick sharp slashes towards the Desert Fang. It looked like in pain after Tenma managed to create a wound right at the creature’s forehead, making some blood gushing out from the cut.. After that, without waiting for any response from the beast, the black haired man sent four diagonal slashes towards its leg, making blood gushing out from the cut and letting it collapsed to the ground because it was unable to stand straight anymore. He sighed happily seeing that he already finished his part, so he would just wait for Zadi to finish up.

Tenma didn't wait long after Zadi's response to get started. However, Tenma oddly let himself be seen before making a move unlike the other times that the two of them fought together, more or less 'together'. Tenma seemed to be sporting a rather odd 'aura' of sorts that Zadi could feel with a tingle down his spin. Either Tenma was a hunter or he really was a maniac like Zadi once jokingly thought.

"If fate still cares about me, then it wouldn't pair me with such a crazy person. Haha!" and then Tenma growled at the beasts, "fate has forsaken me..."

Zadi was a little stunned with Tenma's actions towards the beast he was attacked by, or vice versa. With Tenma's 'playful' aura radiating the way it did, Zadi couldn't remember who struck first. It was rather unsettling, to say the least, so Zadi would need to be careful around Tenma from now on. Anyway, Zadi became focused on the other beast that seemed to be Chomping down on Zadi's borg while he was dazed. The borg was able to stop the attack from reaching Zadi but subsequently got itself shattered and unusable for the remainder of this tussle. With Tenma how he was, Zadi didn't really want to fight, at all. Therefore, Zadi would first clash with a basic attack of the beast while gripping Rukh Slayer, unsheathed. The Savage Ruby augmented Zadi's power to A-tier, leaving residual damage on the beast's claw. The beast roared loudly with a gritty cry, as if sand was stuck in their lungs. Rather likely considering the current setting, a desert. However, Zadi didn't give the large creature enough time to attack and just kicked the creature's head with full A-tier force, killing it.

Zadi stopped gripping his sword, dissipating the ruby's effects. Tenma and Zadi both finished off their respective opponents, with Tenma sighing with happiness. This bothered Zadi to the point of asking, "Tenma, did you eat or inhale a strange substance recently? I'm worried that you are enjoying this too much for a healthy person..." Zadi's question beat around the bush a little, but his comment was rather straight forward. Tenma was scaring Zadi a little with his happy looks when fighting massive beasts. However, maybe the desert heat was getting to Tenma. Yeah, that must have been it, "Wait! Sorry, the desert heat is getting to me. Sorry for strange words, hahaha! Well, let's head back and see what the priests have planned for us next." Zadi tried to correct the situation if it wasn't already correct. Hopefully Tenma wasn't actually crazy like Zadi thought and that the dry heat of the desert was what was driving him a little nuts. Tenma seemed just fine with the scorpions and serpents, as far as Zadi could see.

The one eyed man whistled when he saw his companion killing the creature with some kind of item. It helped the blonde haired man to increase his own strength and thus letting him to attack the creature at ease. He was grateful to meet this blonde man honestly, as what happened ever since he met Zadi was truly interesting. Moreover, his competitive side was kind of being turned on because of the magician’s strength that at least for Tenma, was very strong and amusing. He would swore to himself to train even harder, so probably when he get the chance to have a friendly sparring with Zadi, Tenma would be able to use full force. But that could wait actually as he knew that they still need to find the cause of this matter around the pyramid.

Tenma chuckled in a friendly way when Zadi asked him if he inhaled something strange recently, then he shook his head before replying, “Ahh, don’t worry about me. Hahaha.” The swordsman scratched his head and continued, “It has been a while since I enjoyed a battle, so this fight makes me fired up because I get to fight a strong creature. I do apologize if I scares you though, Zadi. I can be weird some time, hahaha!” There was no lies in his words and it was sincere, a honest words from his own heart and thoughts. There was not much interesting things happened and no strong enemies so far, so it kind of made the black haired man somewhat bored as he actually got nothing else to do. The boredom almost killed him back then to the point he only spent his time by lying on the bed lazily or playing his flute all day long as he got zero motivation to do anything else. It was a wrong thought to be grateful that he could fight this kind of strong creatures even though they caused chaos for the Temple itself, but if it was not for this, he might be still slacking around without motivation to train or even move at all.

“I am easily fascinated by interesting creature, so seeing those Desert Fangs definitely what makes me act strangely.” Tenma laughed warmly and patted Zadi’s back in a friendly way, knowing that his companion was questioning his state of mind. Well, the one eyed man knew that he was in the verge of maintaining his sanity and the longer he couldn’t find his sister, the faster his insanity would occur and soon devouring him. However, his only hope to find his sister was what made him keep trying to stay white and he hoped it would stay that way. Or else… he wouldn’t be able to control himself and when his sister saw him, she would be afraid of him and the worst thing could happen was a rejection from his only light in this wretched world. Nevertheless, his smile was covering all of that and he continued to keep giving a bright one to his companion. “Let’s us head back then.”

Thankfully, Zadi was completely wrong about Tenma, maybe. Zadi's detective skills couldn't pick up on any lies so Tenma must have been either good enough at lying or he was being sincere. Either which way, Zadi had to willingly or unwillingly trust that Tenma wasn't screwed up in the head. Fortunately, what seemed to solidify Tenma's sanity was his lust for knowledge! Maybe not a complete 'lust', but enough to get Zadi on his side Granted, Zadi was getting tired from all the desert heat. He just wanted to get back to the temple and rest a little, "Alright, let's head back. I'm getting tired of this heat!"

The walk back was taking some time, more or less, so Zadi wanted to fill the void with some speaking, whether Tenma spoke back or not didn't matter, "So, I used Clairvoyance magic on one of the serpents that I defeated. Turns out that all these creatures, at least the serpents, suddenly and instantly wanted to take back the area where the Black Pyramid now stands. Or at least used to stand. Anyway, this all doesn't make sense, you know what I mean? They can't ALL have once lived in the same area as the Black Pyramid. More so considering how old the Black Pyramid is. I was there before the destruction and got a look at the inside carvings and pictures. It seemed to have been pretty old before it got brutally knocked down. Well, just thought you should know. Pretty interesting if I do say so myself."

The walk continued and the two creature slayers made it back to the temple. Nothing else seemed to have happened while the large monsters were being taken care of by Tenma and Zadi. That must mean everything must have been thrown at the temple that the outside party could have thrown at the Black Pyramid. Good and bad considering that the only option left would be to hire mercenaries or even go attack the Black Pyramid yourself. An army is something that Zadi didn't want to deal with right now, so being attacked by a, possibly single, magician wouldn't be all that tough. Unless the magician is crazy powerful. However, considering the lengths that this magician went to attain those large beast must mean that they can only do so much with their magic power. Or perhaps they were bored and just dong whatever they wanted to pass the time, like trying to raid a pyramid in the middle of Heliohapt. If the pharaoh got involved with his army, things could get messy so the outside party involved better have a good reason for putting Zadi through all this dry heat!
