Hohotaro the Hero I

Quest:

After they have saved the children from the slavers and got them back to their parents the celebration soon after have highlighted Hohotaro to be the hero. The warriors tells story of how Hohotaro charged toward the thick of the enemy and started fighting them and they also said that Hohotaro would have killed all of the enemies even if they haven't arrive to help.

Of course this is not true. Yes Hohotaro charged ahead just because he misjudged the number of the enemy. And just after taking out 4 enemies Hohotaro is already spent and fighting any longer would be the death of him. But Hohotaro doesn't dare to tell any of that out loud, he rather bask in the glory the other warriors are painting for him.

The celebration continuous all through the night and the next day there are groups of people looking for Hohotaro the Hero of the tribe.

Hohotaro woke up and got out of the caravan. First thing he heard is.

"We need the Hero of the tribe!" there is chanting just outside the caravan and Hohotaro can see Ahmed containing the mob.

"Hohotaro I think they are looking for you." Ahmed looks like a bodyguard staving off raving fans off of Hohotaro.

Hohotaro is still half asleep during all of this. He held up his hand and there is silence. Hohotaro was surprised and excited by this he said. "If you want to talk to me please form a line, I will try to talk to all of you shortly." Hohotaro gestures to form a line and as faster than expected the tribal people did form a line.

Hohotaro nods in amazement.

Ahmed brought out a desk and stool for Hohotaro to use as he entertain all of his new fans. Beside him sits Kahleel, he have a quill and a parchment at the ready just in case. The first tribesman steps forward.

"Mister Hero sir is it true that not only you've single-handedly defeated the flying beasts that not even warriors from the tribe can defeat but you've also defeated those bandits so easily?" the tribesman excitedly say as he tries to take Hohotaro's hand.

"Uh yes..." Hohotaro meekly said but Kahleel besides him is more than happy to brag about Hohotaro's achievement. "Yes that's true! Brother Hoho did all those things! And he did more amazing things back in his home country!"

The tribesmen gasps in amazement as Hohotaro just awkwardly smile and scratches his head.

After awhile the people around Hohotaro thinned down. Those who just wanted to meet him and bask in his glory already went home. There are four tribesmen who stayed, and each of them have a problem of their own.

"So let me get this straight..." Hohotaro started. "You have wolves problem, and you have bird problem, and you have a bear problem, and you have some kind of rat problem." Hohotaro points at the tribesmen one at a time enumerating their requests. "By the rukh what's the problem with the wilds in this parts, it feels like animals are out to get these tribesmen." Hohotaro exclaimed seemingly exasperated by the whole ordeal.

Hohotaro promised to solve all of their problems just because it's only hunting and he has a lot of experience with that and he'll be getting paid a lot more than when he do it back in Imuchakk.

"So Khaleel did you get all that?" Hohotaro made Khaleel into his assistant sort of. He writes down all the requests and the details of it in his parchment. Hohotaro was amazed by this because he only remembers bits and pieces of reading and writing from his mother and grandfather. He stopped learning it when he needed to go and do odd jobs for their family.

"Yeap, I think first is the wolves Brother Hoho. It's not too far from the village it won't take half a day by walking." Khaleel said.

"Ok great! We could do that one right now!" Hohotaro stands up and stretches his arms. "Do you want to come with me?"

Khaleel's eyes widen and gazed back to Ahmed, he gave a nod and a smile to Khaleel.

"Yay! I get to see Brother Hoho in action!" Khaleel he exclaimed

Hohotaro and Khaleel went off to the place where the wolves are seen. It is a different kind of farm, in this one instead of golden wheats spread across the plains it have animals in pens grazing."

"They said the wolves are taking livestock from the farm." Khaleel said looking through his note.

"If it can take animals as big as this guys." Hohotaro slaps the cow on it's backside as he estimate the size of it. "It may not be ordinary wolves, at least not like the ones in my country." Hohotaro scratches his head. "This might get dangerous are you sure you want to come with me?"

Khaleel nods with extreme confidence and trust in his eyes.

"Ok but make sure you listen to everything I say alright?" Hohotaro surveys the farm and saw a gap in it's fences and points at it. "We should start our search there."

Hohotaro puts up his finger and lectures Khaleel "This is the basics of tracking. First you find the foot tracks, it's the easiest to spot. Look here" Hohotaro points at some tracks on the ground. "You can see that there are 3 sets of tracks here. Two for wolves and one for the farm animal." Hohotaro continues. "By the looks of it, they didn't kill the animal inside here, they lured it outside the fence." Hohotaro points at the farm animal's hoof print going out of the fence. Hohotaro continues the "lecture" tracing the steps of the wolves. Hohotaro sees another 2 set of tracks just on the edge of the forest.

Khaleel is listening intently on Hohotaro's every word. He writes down every thing he is saying and have a wide eyed excitement that he's learning something new.

Hohotaro gestures to Khaleel to crouch at stay quiet as they inches closer to the forest where Hohotaro saw the second set of tracks. At a small clearing inside the jungle Hohotaro saw the dead farm animal. Judging from the color of the corpse he knows that it's still fresh, there are even no insects infecting it yet.

"They're close you should hide." Hohotaro whispers to Khaleel. Hohotaro carries Khaleel on a thick high branch of a tree close by. "Stay here and watch out for the wolves. You're my lookout." Hohotaro smiles and gives Khaleel a thumbs up.

After leaving Khaleel on a branch Hohotaro inches closer to the dead animal and listened intently for rustling noise. Hohotaro's focus is heightened and he is ready for any attack that may come to him.

Hohotaro got close enough to the carcass to examine it more closely. He saw that there are blood tracks that indicates dragging of the meat. He can also see that the carcass is not picked clean yet. Seeing that there is no wolf guarding this Hohotaro thinks that it notice Hohotaro  it's just close by waiting for it's pack to attack him.

As Hohotaro was thinking this there was the wolf jumped out of the bushes and lounges at Hohotaro. Hohotaro manages to take out his Hook Sword as the Wolf bite down on him and Hohotaro blocks it with both his swords. Without having time to catch his breath there comes another wolf lounging from the bushes. The newly arrived Wolf tries to bite down on Hohotaro too and this time Hohotaro dodged by jumping back and trying to get a better position that is not surrounded by enemies.

Abilities:

Hohotaro is ready for another sneak attack since he knows that there are at least four of these wolves. Hohotaro saw movement on one of the bushes and charges for it ready to kick whatever is behind it out in the open. And there it is the third wolf hiding behind the bushes, as Hohotaro tries to kick it the wolf uses it's claws to stop the kick and jumps back towards the rest of his pack. He looked back on the wolf and there are already four wolves coming at him.

Hohotaro waits for the wolf to attack him so he can counter them with an attack of his own.

One wolf lounges at him and Hohotaro again crosses his Hook sword stopping the Wolf's bite and giving it a kick of his own but again the wolf just manages to jump on his foot. Then another woof does the same lounging towards Hohotaro for a bite attack and this time Hohotaro redirects the attack to the side and catching the wolf with his knee. At last Hohotaro managed to hit one wolf. The last two wolf attacked at the same time and Hohotaro spins deflecting both bites.

Hohotaro using all of his power slams his foot to the ground four times cracking it and hitting the remaining wolves with the shockwave and debris causing them all of them to fall.
