The girl walked through the plains guiding her large canine creature, on his back many supplies for camping and stuff, she also was carrying her fair share of stuff since they spent most of their time camping since they had arrived in the plains. They didn't really have much of a place to stay but they would be there for a long time, most likely up to a year or longer depending on how things went, Thought, after her plans were all well and done there was a good chance she would be living in the plains for the rest of her life, after all this is, was the place were the fanalis would found her country. She had some vague ideas on how she would get started but it would talk alot of work, the most important part was to help people in need and gain people who would follow her.

As she trekked through the plains not looking for anything specific, maybe just a place to take camp or some animals to hunt she, she and her pet did need food. As the white haired girl looked forward she noticed what seemed to be a settlement, she didn't want to bother them much but hopefully they would have some tips on where she could find animals or maybe some local tribes in the area, heck maybe she could help them if necessary. As they walked forward she was greeted with suprise by strange people.

As she walked around she noticed people with animal parts, she wondered where they had got them from, were the born with them, she felt like she was intruding the peoples area, they all gave suspicious glares that felt like the pierced her soul, the tension felt extremely heavy. As she walked she removed her belt letting her lion tail show to hopefully ease some tenison to make it seem like she was similar to them, the white haired girl wondered how things would proceed

Lexi bounced Nymeria on her hip as she stirred the stew in the pot, humming softly. Suddenly, a sharp whistle sounded out and she immediately tensed, glancing at the door of the hut as Shana ducked inside.

“Someone is approaching. They are alone, but have a weird dog creature with them. Tork said she had a tail, but… she doesn’t look like us… she looks different…”

Lexi’s brow scrunched up but she handed Nymeria off to Shana before grabbing her bow from beside the entrance of the hut, along with her quivering and sliding Onyxia into the sheathe on the outside of her leg. She wanted there to be no question that she was equipped to defend if the person was hostile. However, if they were friendly, it could appear she was simply going out on a hunt. She kissed Nymeria’s head before ducking out of the hut, nodding at some of the other villagers, as though trying to convey reassurance. It was not too common for them to get random wanderers around here, but it did happen on the odd occasion.

As the stranger came into view, Lexi arched a brow in confusion at the creature standing beside the young woman. It looked like a dog, but… odd. Odder than most of the things Lexi came across. Her fingers twitched beside her dagger, but she forced herself to relax her shoulders as she approached the stranger. She drew a slightly tense smile to her face as she stopped in front of the woman with white hair.

“Greetings, stranger. How can we be of assistance to you today?”

Though she would appear friendly enough, the rest of the villagers knew that it would take Lexi no time at all to draw a blade or her bow to deal with the threat. Just that knowledge caused most of the people shuffling around and peeking from their huts to relax slightly, curious to see who hand wandered into their temporary home.

She gave the cat girl a friendly smile to show that she meant no harm to her or any of the other people in the vicinity. She wanted to relive the tension of the situation, but that could be rather difficult since she was a stranger who was invading their place of living so she couldn't really blame them for not really trusting her. She thought she was rather interesting, but her appearance was of no real matter, hopefully, they would be able to get along and avoid any conflict. The white haired girl decided to inform the cat girl of why she had come here.

"Sorry if I'm intruding but I came here to ask for some help in the area to find a village where I could stay and see if you had any food that might before sale or some information on where I can find animals to hunt. I would really appreciate any advice or anything you can do to help."

She showed an honest face hoping to not come across as if she was just rambling to the girl and was speaking the truth. She then realized she had forgotten some information, she was reluctant to share it since she might seem suspicious but at the moment she thought it was wise to be as honest as possible with the people since they already seemed suspicious.

"There is also one other thing, is there any sort of work you might need help with here, you may not be able to tell, but I'm a fanalis and, a rather strong one at that so I'd be able to any physical labor you may need me to do, of course, I'm willing to as much possible in order to pay for whatever information or food you give me as compensation if you do."

Hopefully, if the people allowed her to work then she would be able to prove she was somewhat trustworthy. She had no evil intentions but the white haired girl thought it was best to befriend as many groups as possible while she was her in the plains.

Lexi listened to the woman’s explanation, sensing no type of unkind aura from the Fanalis woman. She let herself relax, if only a bit. She held her hand out to shake the woman’s hand.

“My name is Lexiara. This is our tribe. You must not be from the Plains, or you probably would not have approached, those of the Kimeer tribes are not known for welcoming strangers. Nothing personal, it is just quite dangerous, for us.”

Lexi cocked her head to the side, contemplating the woman’s request. They were not truly in need of any type of assistance, but if the woman was willing to work to earn her share of food, she was sure they could find something for her to do. It was almost time to begin moving the tribe and someone with Fanalis strength would be useful for helping to take down the huts once they had found a suitable location to move to. She had planned to go out scouting for a location in the morning.

“You may stay with me, as long as you do not mind children. There is plenty of food. In the morning, I will be going on a scouting trip, I can show you decent hunting areas then. We only ask that you only kill what is necessary to survive. We honor our connection to the earth and all she provides. While hunting and gathering is a necessity, killing in excess is never acceptable.”

She would wave behind her to indicate the hut she shared with Shana and would begin walking towards it if the Fanalis indicated the offer was acceptable.

"My name is Merrze and thank you for allowing me to stay with you even though you don't know me very well. And I have no problem with children, I love them a lot actually and I've been told that I'm very good with them. When I lived in Reim I would go to the orphanage and play with them, I kinda miss those days, but I had to move on you know and say my goodbyes. Also of course I won't kill any more than I need to, I don't believe in unnecessary killing, I only really kill animals to eat or to survive, no need to take the lives of animals who've done nothing wrong just because someone feels like it."

The white haired girl felt slightly strange when she uttered those words, a few years ago she would've killed people or animals just to do it but that was all before she had learned more about the value of life. There was once a point where she could kill something with the greatest of ease, now the only people she only killed were terrible killers, people who tried to kill her and of course slavers. She despised them more than murders, but now she did not want to think about it too much, right now she wanted to just live.

She followed the animalistic looking Lexi to where her living quarters where. If she had mentioned children that means there was a chance that she was a mother. She looked rather young but, then again some people had families young in case they didn't live long. There was also the chance that maybe it was some sort of little sibling or other family member. The warrior decided to not dive into to much and see the place she lived in.

Lexi gave a small smile as the Fanalis woman introduced herself as Merrze, leading her to the hut she shared with Shana. She pulled the flap to the side to allow Merrze to enter before following her inside. The hut was dimmer than the bright light outside but her eyes adjusted immediately and Shana looked up from the pot she was stirring with a curious look. Lexi gave her friend a reassuring smile.

“Shana, this is Merrze. She is in need of food and shelter for a bit. She is willing to help out around the settlement to repay our kindness.”

Shana gave a shy smile, not prone to speaking with strangers. Lexi grinned as Nymeria crawled across the floor towards her, the brilliant red hair and eyes a dead giveaway that at least one of her parents had been a Fanalis. The thing that stood out to show her Kimeer parentage were the bright fox ears and tail the girl displayed. Lexi swooped her daughter up into her arms before turning to Merrze.

“This is Nymeria, my daughter. The woman cooking is Shana and soon, Shana’s children should be scrambling in.”

As if on queue, Shana’s children came barreling through the entrance of the hut, running into Merrze’s leg as they were not expecting anything to be in their path. They froze, staring at the woman in wonder. As the older one spotted Merrze’s tail, she instantly relaxed, the children assuming Merrze was from another Kimeer tribe. The kids gave a small wave before tackling their mother and clamoring for some dinner. Shana chuckled and waved at the kids to sit down before she served up some of the stew that had been cooking all day. Lexi turned to Merrze and waved to the floor.

“Please, make yourself at home, have some stew. Tell me, what brings you to our quiet corner of the world?”

The fanalis looked at the baby and gave it a polite smile, she waved at it to show off her friendliness to the child, she gave attention to the baby for a slight moment then started to survey her surroundings inside the space of living, to her she felt so warm, the smell of the food soon filled her nostrils and she couldn't help but feel welcomed even though she was sure her company slightly upset the owner of the house but she would soon hope to show that she had no ill intentions to her or anyone else who resided in the village. The nice environment reminded the girl of when she was a child, the warmness that a family could give to one.

"What a beautiful baby you have, and Hello nice to make your acquaintance Shana, you have a lovely home here."

As the kids ran past her she was suprised but then again she was warned that the kids would probably arrive soon. The kids seemed to be worried who she was, there was a good chance from their personal experience they were afraid of outsiders and she could imagine why they would have such a fear. The girl crouched down and smiled at the kids, there was nothing but n aura of warmness protruding from the lioness, after all she thought they were cute kids and she didn't want them to be afraid of her.

As she was offered to join them for food she soon sat down next to them, she felt like she shouldn't be just eating their food but she would join them anyways and hope to make some friendly conversation with them and maybe get to play with the kids while she was at it. The girl smelled the stew and gave a pleasant smile, she took a moment to try the food and her face lit up like a star showing how pleased she was with the taste.

"Well first I would like to say that the stew is delicious, and second there are two reasons I have come to this remote area. One has been on a search for things and the other was to assist the groups of the great plains. I have heard rumours that there have been slavers here, I have a past with them and I plan on help taking them out. The other reason I have come here is to improve upon myself, there have been some issues in my life and I've been trying to overcome them, ironically that ties into why I'm planning on destroying slave groups, there is one specific called the black spiders that I've been learning about that is especially bad and powerful."

Lexi listened to the story with interest, though she kept it masked behind a neutral face. Merrze would not be the first to have heard about the troubles of the Plains and their vulnerability to the slave traders. But most were not aware, unless they made specialty purchases, about the high cost of one of the Kimeer tribe. She swung Nymeria up to ruffle the infant’s hair before pressing a kiss to the child’s forehead. She arched a brow at Merrze with a small smirk.

“Well, the Plains can do much to teach a person about themselves. Nothing like the harsh realities you find out here, the solitude… even with the tribes, things are not the safest, but we like it. The last man that tried to unite the tribes failed miserably. We are all simply too different. As for the slave traders, well… we all do what we must to get by. I, personally, have found an arrow between their eyes keeps them from shackling me and my family.”

Her words almost held an edge of threat to it, like she wanted Merrze to understand and spread the word in the area about the danger to those that trafficked in humans.

The fanalis enjoyed the way the girl talked back to her when talking about the plains. There was something about the tone of the girls voice that just got the fanalis interested in her. The white haired girl could not explain the feeling all she knew was that she wanted to learn more about her fellow female. She gave her a smirk as a small fire seemed to light in her eyes, there was a good chance the feline female in front of her had faced more adversity in her life than the warrior ever had to, but she felt some sort of understanding in her words, she understood the meaning to her words and the message she tried to convey and it only made he more interested in the girls as they had an akin hate to slavers.

"Well, that's good that I chose to come here then, most of the biggest realizations of my life or times when I had to change the most happened under dangerous situations. Hopefully, while I'm doing what I plan to do out here I will start to overcome my current issue more and start to improve on myself. And an arrow to the head probably stops them in their tracks, my preferred method is crushing them or sometimes I've noticed that being eaten by the big guy outside will stop them too. I mean the smashing sure stopped them from keeping me contained."

The white haired girl was trying to get across a point just as Lexi had tried to do, she was trying to convey to her that she understood, she also tried to convey her strong distaste for them. She was showing that she had no tolerance for them, Merr was tolerant to many but slavers were not one of them.

Lexi appreciated the honesty from the other woman, contemplating something for a bit before speaking.

“If your goal is slave traders, I can support the effort. As for the tribe, you may stay for a short period. If at any time we feel you might be a danger, I will personally remove you. We are a unique tribe, even for those on the Plains, so we are beyond cautious. We move frequently and we don’t often add new people to our travels. New is dangerous, so we avoid it. Again, you may tag along, I have already invested a large amount of effort in gathering information on local traders, so you are welcome to join me on thenm, if you so choose.”

Merrze gave a strong and sure smile to the girl so that she could get across that she undersood what she was saying. After all she was a guest so it was normal of them to be cautious.

"That's good with me, afterall I am offering my assitance to you so it only makes sense in my opinion. I'll try my best to be able to prove useful and help you and your people out. PLus taking out these slave traders is something that will benefit the both of us, and as I help you I will also try to ensure to help your people in general while I stay here afterall it is the least I can do to try and be helpful to you all. I look forward to working with you in the future Lexi."

Her last words were said with a kind and friendly smile, she felt like she and Lexiara would be able to get along just fine in the future.

Lexi gave a tight smile to the Fanalis woman, still not sure how she felt about the open friendliness and eagerness to help. In the past, she would have simply accepted these traits as something everyone should have, but now, she was suspicious and cautious. She kept her suspicion hidden, she had already given her warning, and there was no reason to further frighten the woman. If Merrze proved a threat, between Lexiara and the rest of the tribe, the woman would stand no chance of survival, so Lexi simply let them continue their meal in relative silence, the children babbling and chattering about their adventures that day while Nymeria crawled from her mother’s lap and explored the inside of the hut. Only time would tell if Merrze would turn out to be friend or foe, regardless of her upbeat, positive attitude.

The fanalis sat there and enjoyed her food eating at a moderate pace. Hopefully she had made a good impression on the girl, but from her previous experiences people weren't so trusting right off the bat but that was to be expected. Right now she was going to simply just assist them and lend her services for as long as she could. Hopefully in the process of helping and making conncetions they would eventually start trusting her and they could become allies, after all that was something she needed right now. At the moment, it felt as if she was doing everything by herself so this would make things hard. She would have to make connections, gain trust and power slowly getting people to follow her. It could take months maybe even years for all she knew but it was something the white haired girl was determined to accomplish.
