“Keep your head up, Sir Khareem... You don’t have to lower your pride...” The swordsman stepped towards the chief and offered his hand to lift him up. The chief couldn’t lower his pride right now as the village was now in the verge if extinction and the villagers were panicked as well. They needed someone who could keep his calm and integrity, someone who wouldn’t step back no matter what. This kind of scene would just make the villagers lost their trust to their own leader, that was what Tenma believed. ‘No time for internal problems and trust issues right now...’
The black haired man would then help the chief to stand up and started asking question, “Do you have any clue of their whereabouts?” He looked right into those weary eyes which looked like would lose its light of hope in another minutes. “...I am truly sorry, young ones... for I don’t know any clue about it... The only thing I know is only most of my men were fallen at the eastern side of the forest, but there was nothing there and no clue pointing to their hideout.” The tone of his words was pitiful, filled with sadness and depression. But the swordsman didn’t say anything else, he would just looked at the redhead and nodded towards him, signaling that they would go to investigate the eastern side of the forest near the village. He will then averted his gaze back to the old man, firmly tapping his shoulder and left the tent. But just before he stepped out, the chief opened his lips, “W-wait...young ones, at least tell me your name, please...” Tenma raised his eyebrow again, wondering why the chief was so— ‘Ahh...’ He noticed the pity from the chief’s expression, showing that even he was not sure if those two would made it alive and only wanted to know their name to give them prayer later if they didn’t made it alive. ‘Typical...’ The one eyed man chuckled before saying his name, “Mikazuki Tenma... The heavenly demon of the crescent moon.” He reached to his flask that was filled with Sake and threw it to the chief, “There, drink some of it. You’ll feel better!” After that he exited the tent, waiting for Hiro to come out as well and said, “I need to make some preparation, so see you outside the village gate in 30 minutes.” He smiled to the Fanalis and waved his hand before he made his way to somewhere that quite far from there, any place that no one was there and he could be alone to unleash his true self.
A chuckle escaped his lips then it followed by a laughter that sounded as dark as the night, the swordsman lifted his arms and cupped his face with his big palm as if covering his laughter. He felt crazy, he couldn’t seem able to fully control himself today as he recalled how he almost killed one of the guards before. Those desire kept coming out, tainting his sanity and taking over his body slowly, attempting to change him into something wretched. He moves his hand a little to the side, touching his eyepatch and pulled it down to show the bright crimson orb stacked neatly beside his golden orb. The pain in his red eye was not as painful as that night, but he could feel it twitching in pain in every second, like he would be blind in another second. He needed to kill, needed to feel his Katana cutting through the meat and bones and needed to see or feel the blood gushing out from his victim’s body.
“No... She will be there...maybe...” Tenma inhaled some air and exhaled it slowly, trying to control himself again, “I need to control myself... or she will be afraid of me...” He couldn’t imagine how he would continue to live if one day, when he managed to find his sister, she rejected him. He had thought several things such as killing both of them or just ending his life, and for him, the last option was much better. No matter how much of anger he felt if his sister rejected her, he wouldn’t go as far as killing— ‘Dammit... Tenma... you made a vow... don’t you dare thinking to kill her...’ He gritted his teeth, feeling the insanity crawling out from his mind and exhaled air again through his lips. He closed his eyes, emptying his mind for a while before finally putting on his eyepatch to cover his crimson right eye as if covering his own darkest desire. His hand reached to his Katana and he slowly caressing Myou’s handle before he opened his eye that now was full of determination. “Time to go...”
His feet brought him to the outside of village gate where he promised to meet the redhead by bringing three water bags that were hanged on his waist. If Hiro was already waiting there, both of them would made their way to the eastern forest around 3 km from the village. They would enter the dark path between the tropical trees and exploring around, searching for any clue that they could find. There was not any visible clue right there at a quick glance but the swordsman could smell something that he knew really well, blood. But he knew in this kind of forest, such smell was common, not to mention that there might be any wildlife living here. Tenma looked at his companion, wondering if his friend had something to say, “What do you think, Hiro...?”
