Crimson Warhead (Voda,Private,Training)

Vodarara was quite regularly expanding his arsenal of specialised arrows, finding ways to be able to effect areas or designs to disable prey that either he did not plan to slay at the time, he didn’t hunt unless he had too if it was to survive or maintain the ecosystem of the environment, one of his latest designs was more of a design to take down humanoids which were becoming an increasing danger in the environment at the end of the day he didn’t want to kill something by setting it alight the latest design would encompass fire which of course could be used to repel or scare of creatures of the dark persuasion, creatures of the nocturnal world.

Fire wouldn’t be useful for hunting as it would damage the pelts which were a valuable trade item that depending on the creature could fetch a valuable price that allowed him to supplement the other supplies he had or at least create some contacts within the traders and caravaners of the Imuchakk.

This design was somewhat similar to the heated paste tools he had used a couple of times in the paste of course it was still quite bad for the pelts of the animals thus it wasn’t common for him to even use it, though he did wonder how the Imuchakk were suited to heat they seemed to deal with it rather well in Reim so maybe they were more reactive to both the cold and heat.

Vodarara also had other assets to call upon from the more explosive orblets that he could use to pelt targets, he guessed it would come somewhere between the two and that it would encompass bits of both designs to create the warhead that he could use in combat, though he doubted he would need to create many in the long term unlike creations such as the Maw.

Crimson Warhead training

Vodarara was considering things in regards to spread and how long he wanted such a thing to last, he knew the Imuchakk could use fats that could be burned to keep long term fires that could be reasonably contained if such a thing was made into a consistency closer to oils that could be extracted from certain animals it could be a useful thing to burn some oils could be burned over the surface of the water which could be somewhat effective though it only had a limited burn time.

A weapon that couldn’t be controlled was of no use to the huntsman as if it couldn’t be control it could run out of control and cause unnecessary damage where the huntsman didn’t wish it was his believe role to maintain the balance and keep stability, he was rather happy with his simple but busy life though it did come with its struggles.

He would begin by working with the fats and oils of creatures to try and produce a substance that could swiftly burn for something designed to deal with all types of creatures those whom act by instinct and those capable of higher thought everything could be said to be deterred by fire, it eliminates one’s ability to hide and can cause damage that cannot be felt, Vodarara with his many experiments through his life and well as the scars of conflict could tell many a tale.

His work wouldn’t take too long to create such a liquid for good spread and burning as he already had a basis to follow from what he had seen and known from before the hardest part of such a thing would be to design a way of igniting it without it exploding into ones face…..

Vodarara began work on developing himself a fuse system that would be relatively secure, he worked around making the arrow relatively symmetrical and from there would have to develop sub fuses of roughly the same weight and length to not affect the arrows balance but would need to use different mixtures to make the fuses have different burn times.

If he had a number of different options for the burn time it would give him a number of different options for firing his arrow and having it explode for if he was using it at long range or close quarters, it would mean he could choose different firing arcs depending on how he wanted to make his shot.

These fuses would be made of yak hair dried over a fire of pine needles and the skeletons of sea sponges to aid in the process of drying them out, after this each of the strands would have to be hand woven together into four individual fuses of the exact same length and bond together at the ends with plant fibre and a small amount of bee wax, after this process was complete they would be dipped and rolled through different mixtures to either slow down or hold their burn time at the point they were.

The fuses would burn through the layering as it fixed into the strands and thus dictate the length of burn time on reaching the head itself it would cause it to react and cause the fireball itself.

It would take weeks of work collecting hair and materials from specific yak of the same bloodline to help avoid any differences in what the creatures genetics were with the hair and they had to be collected from roughly the same area, such animals weren’t always friendly though sometimes you could bribe them with food or sneak up on them at night to grab the hairs, it would be useless to kill them to collect the hair as it would cause each fuse to be constantly far more variable than what they would currently be.

The testing process its self of the “Crimson Warhead” would take a long time, at least inside the caverns of his mountain base he could relatively securely test the arrow without a huge amount of damage to wildlife or the flora of the wilderness. It would take Vodarara around a month to become happy and satisfied with the arrow design itself.

Its explosion would create a fireball that could cause some rather serious burns as well as a decent chance that anything flammable could be caught and kept alight by the intensity of the fire.

At this point the final designs were made and the Crimson Warheads Bark Print would be completed and would be stored by Vodarara for whenever he chose to hide these things as part of a legacy or if he was ever too teach them.

During the course of this creation, he had gathered a number of new burn scars but they were just a trifle they joined the many that had come before…..
