After recovering from her match with Shusara, Ayero decided to sign up for yet another coliseum match. The shuriken wielding woman was very skilled and managed to tire Ayero out quite a bit during their battle, leading the Fanalis to give herself ample time to rest before taking on another coliseum opponent. Ayero was beginning to become a little better known within the walls of the arena considering that she was a regular competitor who usually put on a decent show. She didn’t necessarily try to please the crowd, but her natural bold and brash style of fighting seemed to be appreciated by the spectators.
Standing with her feet planted firmly on the arena’s ground, Ayero awaited for her next opponent’s name to be called. When Breaker’s name was announced, the Fanalis woman narrowed her eyes as she remembered what the gladiator was known for. As said fighter appeared at the opposite end of the arena, Ayero resolved to finish this fight as quickly as she could. As the announcer called for the match to start, both Ayero and Breaker made a beeline for eachother. Ayero raised her sword to the side, prepared to strike using Devil’s Graze. But her blade was deftly blocked as Breaker used his tower shield to meet her steel, deflecting her blow with Brace. As Ayero drew her blade away, she was unable to see Breaker’s other hand from behind the large shield when it lashed out above her. Breaker brought his sword down upon the Fanalis woman for a Crushing Blow, but was intercepted by a Parry from Ayero.
As Ayero redirected Breaker’s sword up and away from her, Kabu reared his head back and spat a Poison Shot at breaker. Surprised at the poison projectile, Breaker did not have time to attempt to block the snake’s ichor. Taking note of her opponent’s momentary distraction, Ayero drops her center of gravity and rolls behind Breaker in a Dodge Roll. The warrioress sprung upwards was she was behind him and struck his shoulder with a Fierce Jab, relieved to see Breaker’s body stiffen at the blow.
Ayero grunted as she removed her sword from Breaker’s body, pulling the blade out with some difficulty. But she lingered too long, and as soon as his shoulder was free of the woman’s steel, Breaker whirled around and smacked Ayero with his tower shield. This blow caught the Fanalis woman off guard and sent her sailing several meters away, landing onto the dirt ground with a thud. As Ayero scrambled upwards into a solid position, she noticed that her opponent did not charge towards her as she had expected. Breaker began to breathe heavily from not only the blow to his shoulder, but also from the effects of Kabu’s poison. With this in mind, the woman charges toward Breaker, sword brandished and ready to finish the job.
Charging towards Breaker, Ayero holds her scimitar out to the side before swinging it back and forth once she closed in on the injured man. Breaker raised his tower shield, grunting behind the metal as strike after strike pushed the man back ever so slightly each time. With a mask of concentration on her face, Ayero continues to deliver a barrage of heavy handed strikes with the intention of pushing past her opponent’s defenses. But the tower shield did not give, and Ayero spotted no signs of cracking during her volley of strikes. Becoming a bit annoyed that this technique would likely not work, the Fanalis switches tactics in order to make the most of the poison’s effects before it would wear off.
Shifting after landing her last strike, Ayero rushes to Breaker’s side in an attempt to get a clearer shot at the man behind the shield. As she swings her sword, her blade is met with Breaker’s own in a Deflecting Parry. He skillfully redirects her sword away from him to the point where Ayero’s balance was questionable before pulling his own sword away and sweeping it in an arc above his head. Attempting to bring it downward once more in a Crushing Rush, Breaker would meet resistance from Ayero’s Simple Block I. But the Fanalis was still off Balance, and Breaker too note of this. Pushing his sword to Ayero’s metal covered arm with an unexpected force, Breaker successfully threw Ayero off balance even further, and the warrior woman stumbled to the ground.
Again, Breaker raises his weapon to deliver another Crushing Rush to Ayero, but the poison’s effects still lingered and slowed his movements. Wasting no time, Ayero quickly rolled out of the way of Breaker’s blade as the gladiator brought it down, positioning herself from the ground to perform a Sweeping Kick to the man’s legs. A crack was hear and breaker groaned in pain from behind his helmet as the Fanalis woman’s kick fractured both of his legs. As the limbs gave out and Breaker collapsed to the ground, Ayero climbed to her feet and dusted the dirt from her skin.
