Avalanche Rescue Chain [Job-Tororkun/Mononku]

Tororkun finally Arrived back at the village to inform them of the yeti's "Mhmm, well we cant spare anyone at this moment but I hear you and Mononku did pretty well with gathering some wolf meat so why don you go see if he can help you." The old guard said. Tororkun nodded before leaving 'Well Mononku Should be good help after all Yeti's should be big game.' Tororkun thought to himself. Walking through the village Tororkun thought to him self 'Wonder what a yeti is like...' he had heard of them but he had never seen one face to face, Tororkun looked over off the street as he passed a small market stall selling some rather tasty looking seal steaks, he knew that he needed to hurry and go talk to Mononku about the yeti's but how was he going to be of help on an empty stomach. Tororkun walked away from the stall carrying two steaks, as he neared the center of the village Tororkun had completely forgot where Mononku's house was, he knew what it looked like but where was it. Tororkun sighed as he walked around the village aimlessly searching for Mononku's house, after a walking around the west side of the village he thought he had seen Mononku at a market stall. Tororkun logged over to the stall and looked around the mans shoulder but unfortunetly this was not him, then Tororkun had an idea if he went home and then retrace his steps back to Mononku's house. After a few wrong turns Tororkun had finally found it, he ran up to the door and knocked "Hey Mononku are you busy today?".

Mononku had spent that morning out shopping for some food for lunch, but for some reason they where out of seal steak something about a guy buying the last two an hour before he got there. Mon shrugged and had gone on his way, after that he just  looked for something to do. As nothing had happened since the avalanche a couple days ago, well there was the other avalanche that had happened the other day but it was farther out and he hadn't heard much about it. So he just did what he could around the village helping the elderly carry there food home and what not. After returning home he pulled out a small journal of his, he had started keeping notes in it about some of the more common wildlife around the area but not much was in it as he had just started it after taking out that small pack of wolves with Tor a few days back. That's when he heard the knock on his door, and the voice calling him though it sounded familiar, answering it he found Tor standing there... with the seal steaks he had wanted to buy "Ah Tor seems you brought lunch, come in." Mon say leading Tor inside and starying a fire "So what brings you to my humble abode on such a fine day." he asks inquisitively,  while pulling out a couple common herbs to season the seal steaks he had managed to grab from Tor as he lead him inside.

Tororkun was lead into Mononku's house "Yeti's" Tororkun replied before noticing his steaks were missing, he took a seat and watched as Mononku seasoned the two seal steaks that had somehow been stolen from him, Mononku skewered the steaks and sat them over a small fire. Tororkun discussed the yeti problem with Mononku while they ate the steaks. After the discussion Mononku agreed to help but said they should wait until tomorrow as it was late and it would be dark by the time they got to the pass, they both agreed to meet up at the gate in the morning. Tororkun left and went home to sleep, the next morning he woke up got dressed and headed for the gate, Mononku was there waiting for him. The two then left towards the pass, it was rather snowy out unfortunately and the path was mostly covered except the rock cairns that where dotted alongside the path. Once they reached the pass Tororkun informed Mononku that the yetis where on the other side of the pass up into the mountains a bit. It only took an hour or two for them to get to the other side where they heard a low growl. The two looked up into the mountain towards the mountain, it didn't look like there was a cave opening. Tororkun sighed, it looked like they would have to go further into the mountain to find the yeti's. Tororkun looked over to Mononku "Well then... since you are the big game hunter be my guest and lead the way."

Mon smiled after hearing the ground he knew this meant the yetis where close so he looked at the wall of stone before them "Well I hope you can climb." he said as he grabs hold of a small hand hold and began the ascent as they climbed he made sure to keep his ears open for the sound of anything that could be hazardous. As the two reached a small ledge Mon spoke quietly so as to not be heard. "Be quite, and cautious the yetis could be around." He spoke in a hushed voice as he began to look around for a cave, or something the yetis could be using for a den. After searching for ten minutes or so he heard a growl come from close by, signalling Tor to follow him the two crept in the direction of the growling until they cam to a small cave entrance. Mon didn't know whether it'd be a good idea to go inside or not, because the light would be dim and they'd be at a disadvantage. 'Oh well.' He thought as the two entered the cave, it was surprisingly well lit from the natural light coming from outside. As they went deeper in they would see the bones of animals... and some times other humans. He heard Tor gulp behind him, but he just kept going farther in until he heard foot steps from up ahead and held his hand up signalling Tor to stop, from the shadows he saw not one but three small yetis running towards them.

Tororkun watched as the three yeti's rushed down the narrow cave towards them, he readied his kanabo. As the yetis ran they stepping on bones as they came, crushing them making a sick cracking noise that resounded off the cave walls. The first yeti let out a terrible roar, Tororkun covered his ears, the sound disorienting him. Tororkun's world spun around making him dizzy, he placed a hand of the cave wall to support himself. meanwhile the three baby yetis where charging at them fortunately he and Mononku where in a rather wide passage and the way towards the yeti's was a narrow one, the yetis broad form was restricting their movement, so only one yeti could fit through at a time. Tororkun leaned against the cave wall it was cold and covered in a thin layer of ice, his world was still spinning as he tried to focus on the yeti's running at them. The tunnel seemed to rock back and forth as Tororkun looked down it at the yeti's, at this rate they where going to be on them in no time. Tororkun tightened his grip on his kanabo in anticipation, the first yeti was closing in on them. As the first yeti came through the small opening Tororkun swung his kanabo preforming Striking Giant on the yeti's shoulder, it let out a loud roar in pain but he wasn't down yet. The second yeti was now entering through the opening growling and the third was stuck behind the two who where standing in front of the opening. Tororkun glanced over a Mononku before returning his gaze to the yeti's "Well this could go either way."

Mon held his head that was now ringing from the blasted over grown fluff balls roar 'Man I'm gonna have a headache in the morning.' he thought as he pulled his spear off his back. He heard a crunch and managed to make out Tor hitting one of the beasts sadly the thing didn't die, and now the other was right next two it... oh wait he thought as he swept at the beast with a Berserking Swipe. The attack managed to hit the two yeti's first felling the head off the one Tor managed to hit, and maiming the seconds arm. Following through he used rapid strike on the now maimed yeti, the first strike was off, but the second found its mark lodging itself in the beast torso, Mon grimaced as he pulled his spear out with a sickening squealch. 'After this I'm going fishing.' He thought as a way to relax. That's when the third yeti jumped in and clawed at Mon's leg tearing at his flesh and leaving a pretty good sized cut there. 'How the hell did I forget about the third one.' He thought wincing at the pain in his leg, as he stared down the beast who glared back Mon turned to Tor. "Okay Tor think you can handle the last one?" He asked as he watched the beast carefully in case of another attack. 'Well at least the cut's not to deep.' Mon thought as he dropped into a more defensive stance.

Giving a nod Tororkun lifted his kanabo and slamming it in the side with a Striking Giant into its ribs the yeti let out a howl before taking a swipe at Tororkun. The attack missed Tororkun by inches, balling his fist Tororkun hit the yeti with Mauling Giant in the ribs causing them them to give a loud crack, the yeti stumbled a little before falling over and laying limp. "Alright well that takes care of that." Tororkun said before looking over at Mononku "I think we did pretty good." he said. Once he had checked on Mononku they left back towards the village. Once there the two parted ways and Tororkun informed the guards that the yeti's had been dealt with. Tororkun walked home think about how close he had been to being sliced up by that yeti. After he got home Tororkun sighed and placed his kanabo onto a wall mounted rack and walked over and fell back on his bed, he let out a yawn stretched his arm and legs out and quickly fell asleep.

"I agree." Mon said to Tor as they where leaving the cave and after reaching the village went there separate ways. Mon made sure to go by the market on his way home and grab something for dinner after browsing the vendors he settled on wolf steak for dinner. Heading home he also stops to buy a new barrel of water as his current one was running low. 'Well that was an eventful day.' Mon thought as he prepared a stew from the wolf meat he bought and some spare produce he had as well as warming up some water for a bath. After eating he put away his bowl and spoon and went to take a bath, relaxing in the warm water as he thought of what he should do tomorrow. 'Well I could work on a new technique.' He thought as he got out of the bath and went to his bed and fell down on it. Closing his eyes he drifts off to sleep. The next morning he got up and had breakfast from the remaining stew he had from the night before after warming it up of course, then he left his hut to go about buying supplies, he wondered to himself whether he should leave the village or not. 'If I go I can train against other opponents and not just the wild beasts that roam this island.' He thought as he took the supplies he bought home.
