Returning Home (Job, Solo)

It seemed that there was some clearing up too do after some days of heavy snow from an avalanche had filled snow into the makeshift pathways that made up some form of street in the small settlements that made up most Imuchakk home areas.

Unlike cities of nation’s Vodarara had visited it wasn’t very “efficient” in its use of space, everything nice and spread out the houses were large for the large inhabitants, it was always an odd feeling if you had to enter a building in Reim, the ceiling felt low and it felt cramped and tiny, I guess after years of being in larger homes that you wouldn’t expect to be suddenly shrunk down into a small room, Ship life was far better than City life and Village life was far better than Ship Life.

It was time to get to work, making are homes suitable again.

The snow was thick and heavy, well that was at least the case for a human, It was much of a simple task for the Imuchakk with their amazing strength and there near imperviousness to the cold.

Vodarara knew he had little too no chance of getting rid of the snow through standard graft, the only way was really too play dirty.

Think a way round the issue and fix the problem that way, his idea was too use small fires around the area of snow, he had been tasked with disposing of.

The best way in his case would use the gradient and slowly melt down the outside of the snow, the solid ice which was not far under the layers would be near impossible to melt.

Vodarara collected from his stashes little bits and pieces that had been dried and stored and used these to make small fire pits in a triangular formation, cutting small groves in the ice around the fires to help prevent snow water from rolling over the fires and dousing them.

It would go slowly but it should help slowly break down the snow and the compacted snow which was likely becoming ice below it while Vodarara worked from the centre out removing snow.

Avalanches were much common place in this land, however this one had rolled quite far for an avalanche only light remnants of the Avalanche had ended up within the village, with this it had caused damage to stores, when snow floods into warmer or dryer area’s it could defrost and turn into water and then ruin all your seasons hard work.

It could also mean losing the location of where you keep many of your stores depending on the marking systems you use.

Vodarara shifted chunks of snow bit by bit from the road, working it outwards it wouldn’t be perfect, he could most likely fortify his home like the walls around towns and cities of Reim for example.

The Snow would slowly begin to decrease as hands worked their way around moving it from the primary routes as a main focus too allow for people to move around and deal with their daily business, the rest would be shifted around over weeks or slowly be blown away over time.
