- What I Am Bringing Into Battle:
- Weapons
- Swordsman's Cloth:
Name: Swordsman's Cloth
Tier: C
Type: Cloth Blade
Appearance: An unusual and very unorthodox weapon, the Swordsman's Cloth is a blade forged from an incredibly flexible non-ferrous metal with almost no reflective properties. This gives it the initial appearance of cloth that has been pulled taught. The 5m long weapon actually holds an edge and has a one handed grip for the wielder to use made from a thin but sturdy piece of carved wood. It is usually wrapped around the users abdomen disguised as bandages.

Description: The user of blending steps uses nearby objects from the environment to lightly disguise themselves and blend into a scene or a crowd. Most useful in throngs of people, the practitioner performs this ability with subtlety using cloths and other local props to slightly alter their appearance making them seem to fit in with their surroundings more so than they otherwise would. It's application is often used to stalking targets or hiding from pursuers in a manner that would lead them to walk right past the user. This ability has no effect on those who visibly see the act of taking on a disguise take place, however it occurs at 15m/s making it a very small window of time in which someone could do so. This window of time is extended depending on how complex the disguise is. For example, tying up the lacing of a tunic would require more time than simply wrapping a cloth around ones head to hide their hair. This minor camouflage leaves the user still visible and they are easy to spot against complex backgrounds and scenes that clash with their disguise.

Description: The user must already have their Swordsman's Cloth drawn to perform this ability and cannot use it from a sheathed state. Whirling their arm, the wielder makes the Swordsman's Cloth wrap around them in a spiral creating a spinning shell that deflects a maximum of 10 attacks adding up to a total of B-tier damage. The cloth spins into position and around the user at 20m/s and forms a defensive spiral around them 2m to 3m in height. The top and bottom of this defense remain open allowing the user to jump out and maintain the spiral's position so long as they are within three meters and still whirling the handle.

Liberu Aurelius had survived a few coliseum matches now and somehow had managed to maintain an undefeated record. With his third match scheduled, the fanalis assassin found himself gaining a bit more confidence in the arena. This time, as he left the darkness of the challenger's waiting room, Liber felt the wave of applause like a familiar breeze rather than an intimidating crash. This time, some of the cheers were actually calling his name, a small portion of the crowd having become fond of his performances. Some others booed him has he stepped onto the dusty battlefield, displeased with his fighting methods.
That was alright, whether they cheered for Liber or heckled him, the results of this match wouldn't change. Liber approached the center of the massive battlefield and stood his ground 10m from the very center crossing his arms as he waited for his opponent to arrive and be ready.
Liber's crimson hair fell neatly with the two long braids hanging close to his body. The fanalis young man was wearing loose fitting toga-like attire that would give him excellent freedom of movement. But the light weight cloth provided absolutely no defense leaving Liber open to receiving great injury from enemy weapons.
The fanalis knew little to nothing about his opponent, but regardless he would wish the best man among them win.
