kuroi-shimo]Kuroi Shimo, Garret's Wand[/url]- D Tier Abilities:
- Name: Jagged
Flying Ice
Tier: D
Cost: 10 Magoi
Element: Water (Ice Sub-Type)
Class: Offensive/Supplementary
Range: Up to 10 meters
Duration: Instant
Cool-Down: 2 posts
Description: A slab of ice is formed through guidance, which doesn't necessarily have a uniform appearance. Typically partially jagged, the ice is generally around 1.5-2 meters in length and 1 meter in thickness and 1 meter in width. Even with the name, the ice in question can be smoothed out into a more elegant form. It can be propelled up to 10m/s with its casting, however it cannot
move farther than 10 meters from the user. If propelled into another person, it would deal D rank damage to that individual. So long as the user is within 10 meters of the spell, this spell can be sustained to propel it for a longer duration.
Name: Water Manipulation Technique
Tier: D
Cost: 10 Magoi 5 sustained
Element: Water
Class: Supplementary
Range: 10 Meters
Duration: 1-3 posts
Cool-Down: 2-4 posts
Description: Controls up to 125 cubic meters of water (5 meter diameter sphere, which would be the size of a studio room) within 10 meters of the user, which moves at a rate of 10 m/s. This water can possibly slow or halt an individual who is moving against the current, or it could be used to blast an opponent away. The distance the opponent is blasted away is calculated by subtracting either their speed at the time of being hit or their Running Speed, if they braced for impact, from the speed of the water. If the number is 0, they are stopped in their tracks. If the number is a negative number, they are still able to move at that speed against the flow.
Name: Water Gills
Tier: D
Cost: 10 Magoi, 5 sustain
Element: Water
Class: Supplementary
Range: Self
Duration: 1-4 posts
Cool-Down: 2-5 posts
Description: In short, the spell allows you to breath under water. It does so by creating a bubble of air around the mouth and nose, absorbing oxygen from the water around it.
Name: State Transmutation
Tier: D
Cost: 10 Magoi, 5 sustained
Element: Water
Class: Supplementary
Range: 10 meters
Duration: 1-3 posts
Cool-Down: 2-4 posts
Description: This spell can change the 3 states of water; water, ice and mist. At this level, water can be changed into ice or mist, but mist can only be condensed into water, and ice can only be melted to water. Converts up to 125 cubic meters of water (5 meter diameter sphere, which would be the size of a studio room) within 10 meters of the user, which converts at a rate of 10 cubic m/s (the size of a small crowd of 5 people).
- C Tier Abilities:
- Name: Pressure Control
Tier: C
Cost: 20 Magoi, 10 sustained
Element: Water
Class: Offensive/Supplementary
Range: 20 meters
Duration: 1-6 posts
Cool-Down: 3-7 posts
Description: When cast on land this spell can place pressure on a person through the use of condensed water that is already existing (ex. Water Manipulation is flowing around the opponent, then cast Pressure Control). It can also be used on a bleeding wound to slow a person from bleeding out. In water, it can be used to lighten the load of pressure from deep diving, or increase that load by an order of magnitude. This can either provide C tier damage, or prevent C tier damage from bleeding. The technique moves at 10m/s. Rather than targeting a person in the attack, the spell targets a condensed area the size of a person.
Name: Ice Phase
Tier: C
Cost: 20 Magoi, 10 sustained
Element: Water (Ice subtype)
Class: Supplementary
Range: Self
Duration: 1-6 posts
Cool-Down: 3-7 posts.
Description: With the casting of this spell, the user is able to 'walk through' ice. The way this works is that a thin sheen of Magoi wraps around the caster, and as the
caster is about to walk into the ice, it utilizes a combination of State Transmutation to turn the Ice the user is about to walk into to water, and then uses Water Manipulation Technique in order to move the water to the sides, and then behind the caster. Once the caster has passed, State Transmutation turns the water back into ice. Since the spell is strong enough to effect a large amount of ice and can be moved from it's original target at 15m/s. Do not be confused; the spell does not move unless directed to after being cast. It is cast on a single target and sticks to that target. It is simply that in it's cast it can move 15 m/s worth of movement from the caster, and may be sustained for longer duration/further movement in. The caster may actively chose whether or not a portion of the spell converts the ice over to water as they move forward, allowing them to temporarily 'create' staircases to walk up a mountain of ice.
Name: Water Dowsing
Tier: C
Cost: 20 Magoi
Element: Water
Class: Supplementary
Range: 20 meters
Duration: 1 post to 4 posts.
Cool-Down:3 to 5 posts
Description: Digging deep into the ground the caster is able to draw water from the soil and further underground, possibly from the aquifer directly. Water gathered this way can either take form in slowly rising to the top or bursting out of the ground in a geyser motion, which would move at 20 m/s. The size of the geyser would be up to 10 meters in diameter. Enough water to create a very small lake can be pulled up. It takes 10 seconds for the water to finish coming up if it is pulled up in the manner of the Gyser. It takes much longer to be pulled up via a slower, less destructive means.
- B Tier Abilities:
Name: Ice Mirror maze
Tier: B
Cost: 30
Element: Water (Ice subtype)
Class: Supplementary
Range: 30 meters
Duration: Instant
Cool-Down: 5 posts
Description: Using a water-heavy environment, a large maze is created, complete with ceilings. The surfaces are reflective and show mirrored images, possibly showing the image of others in the maze even if they are nowhere near the person. The maze's size can be up to 15 meters in diameter.
Name: Jet Stream
Tier: B
Cost: 30 Magoi
Element: Water
Class: Offensive
Range: 30 meters
Duration: 1 Post
Cool-Down: 5 posts
Description: Description: A high pressure stream of water shoots from the caster's staff/wand at a rate of 30 m/s. The spell is fairly painful and can cut with nearly surgical precision, dealing B-tier damage to an opponent. There are four beams in all and the size of each beam is up to 1m in diameter but may be as small as .025m, a.k.a. 1 inch in diameter. Each beam alone deals D-tier damage and can be fired with it's own unique trajectory according the the caster's will.
Garret received his most recent set of orders from the Zou Empire. This time around, he was to help their slaver
'friends' out again. There were reports that the Reim Empire had been seriously cracking down on them lately, and that they recently gathered information pertaining to the locations of several of their holding pens. Garret's job would be to infiltrate their legal offices and obtain the original copy of the information detailing their hideouts.
With this information, Garret would be able to report this to the Lieutenant who could warn their contacts and get them out of the way before they are taken out. Lately, as always, he would begin by gathering information. It was upsetting, but his missions were not being prepared adequately with all of the information that was likely available to them through informants and moles. He would deal with that when the time came.
Unfortunately, it was difficult to stalk the official buildings without looking suspicious. He would need to watch from afar, through a spyglass. Garret began looking through back alleys for possible places that would give him the foothold to get to a rooftop without being seen. He finally found a rooftop to lie down upon and watched, awaiting nightfall. As it neared, Garret watched the coming and goings of the officials. There were constantly guards around that area, and they made regular post changes. He noted they had fairly good visibility, as they each carried a torch or lantern.
There were no openings. This was going to be a messy job, unfortunately. But how to do it without alerting the entire group of guards? Garret left his spot and returned to a safe house to contemplate this. When he awoke the
next morning, he wore a set of clothing that a middle class citizen would wear. He walked his way over to the administrative office for the legal system of Reim. He queued in line for one of the clerks and waited. It was a crowded place, and seemed many people had grievances to file. Two guards posted at the doors... Another posted at the entrance behind the counter separating the
citizens from the governmental employees. And one more leading to the hallway within. There are at least four more within. When Garret got to the counter he spoke to the clerk. "I've got an argument going with my brother on inheritance." Garret made up a story on the spot on how the will was vague and his brother and himself believed themselves to be the ones to inherit. "I'm going to try to solve the issue with him, but if I needed to file a complaint, how would I go about doing that?" Garret half-listened to the explanation by the clerk. Just then, the guards began switching, some going for lunch. Garret had expected this change to occur and watched to see how many would come from the back. Another three guards came in, leaving one at the door from the prior group as the other three got what he assumed to be lunch. Garret finished up his business here and left. As he left, he saw a clerk with two guards walking with a box. Curious, Garret watched as the man walked across the street and entered what looked to be a storage facility.
An idea came to mind, and Garret determined it would be the best course of action. Should he succeed, he might have the opportunity to cover the fact that the files were missing. Garret returned to his observation post that he had been using to look over the location from before and began to map out three escape routes. One by sky, one through the rooftops and another on foot. As it got closer to approaching night, Garret set back off to the Safe House. On the way, he bought a cheap bottle of a strong alcohol. Garret geared up for his operation, grabbing his wand, Huang which was held inside a small pack with rope, flint and steel, and a grappling hook. Garret also had a cloak on and attached to his cloak were several water skins, loosely corked instead of having lids screwed on. More water skins were around his belt, and he made sure to tuck away the bottle of ale. "For celebration purposes, they say." Garret mumbled to himself as he pulled a black mask which covered everything besides his eyes and nose.
Garret made his way to the administrative district's walls. He counted out several steps before throwing his grapple hook to the top of the wall, climbing it up and retrieving the hook before looking down. As he expected, there were less guards over here. Garret had decided his first part of this operation would be to cause a distraction. He just had to wait for the right moment. ... Yes, there it is. Just what I was waiting for. A guard was patrolling around the building, torch in hand.
Garret pulled out his wand and whispered his spell Jet Stream. Two beams shot out, side-by-side, for a 2 inch wide cut across the guard's windpipe. The guard dropped his torch, which fell on wet grass. Moments before, as the two streams cut the guard's windpipe, two other streams, .3meters in diameter, made sure the grass was wet enough to not catch fire. The guard soon bled out on the grass, attempting to gasp for air while dying. Garret dropped down and picked up the extinguished torch. He looked towards the small window located near the ceiling and sighed.
Tying one end of his road around the guard's body, Garret threw the rope up to the rooftop and began climbing it up. When he reached the small window he held tightly to
the rope with one hand while taking his wand back out with his left. He whispered out the spell for his Water Manipulation Technique. Again, one of the corks in one of his water skins popped open and the water came out, flowing through the cracks of the window and unlocking the latch from the inside, opening the window. Garret swung in, propping himself in the window as he gathered the hook side of the rope. Garret jumped down from the window to the ground inside the musty room. Before he could land, he met an expected pause halfway down. The guard's dead body had equalized his weight. Garret placed his feet on the wall and began using the wall as a leverage to pull the guard's body up. Soon, Garret had the body through the window, falling on top of him. "Ouph." Garret wasn't able to catch the weight of the man, but him being between the dead guard and the floor muffled
the sound of the fall. Garret looked for a chair and took out the bottle of ale. "A fine time to celebrate success, yes?" Taking out the flint and steel, he poured a bit of the ale about on the floor near some books. The extinguished torch was also places similarly. Garret set fire to the ale. It lit up fairly quickly, and was beginning to set off a small fire which would continue into a series of fires soon enough. Garret threw his hook back up to the window ledge and climbed out, sure to close the window when he left. Picking up the corks from his water skins, he made his way over the wall, and took a long route to the wall closer to the building the documents were held in.
Soon the smoke appeared from the building, and several guards went to check in on it. They shouted out a fire alarm, and a majority of the guards watching the building left to assist in a fire line. Garret repeated the trick he had done previously, this time using his Jagged Flying Ice to open up the window on the second floor where the documents were held. He shuffled through the documents, looking for the ones he needed.
They weren't in the drawer that was said in the portfolio for the operation.Garret began looking through other drawers until he eventually found them and rappelled down to the ground level. It looked like they were nearly finished putting out the fire on the other side.
Garret made haste, choosing the rooftop route to return back to the safe house.
