A new home (job)

The snake like beast known as Babi had found a new region of Heliohapt so that he could hide and evade pursuers that were going to begin to flock the region he was originally living in. Now he had a new hunting ground as he was led here by the desire to continue devouring human flesh. The taste of human flesh made his mouth water at the mere thought of it, urging him to pursue this urge to devour more of this flavor. As much as he was revolted by this new flavor and what it signified about him, he could not resist the hunger that craved the body of man.

Yet before he could begin his next hunt he would need to find a new lair, a place that he can call home no matter how temporary it is. Some place that was dark, warm and dry. A place that was large enough to hide the remains of the devoured but also hidden away so that he would not be found that easily.

In order to move around the city he would need to keep hidden away, staying in the shadows of the nooks and crannies that exist in the large confines of the city. He was in his smallest size now, no bigger than an average garter or black snake. At a quick glance he would be no more than a normal snake to any that does happen to spot him. It was looking closely and long enough that would put him in any sort of danger, so he would have to stay speedy.

He would use his tongue to assist his sense of smell, looking for the scent of dampness, mold because that would mean it is a dark place that has been untouched for quite some time. The longer he traveled and searched, the further into the city he had found himself in. While the center would be more populated than the edges of the city it would also be older than the rest of the city. There he would find old buildings that have served as the cornerstones of this city. This is where he would find his new home hopefully.

There he would eventually find a old tower that seemed to be long since abandoned. But this was not where he would live, near it was an old passage to an underground room that was originally used for the storage of the dead during the mummification process. It felt like it had been abandoned for decades and to this point the entrance was long since built over so that only someone such as a flexible snake could enter it. It was dry and warm so that he wouldn’t have to worry about getting too cold or sick.

He would smile as he move around the large room finding it to be quite a comfortable location. Yes! This would end up being the place he would live in, in the heart of his new hunting grounds that was this Heliohaptan city.
