Job Overview:
Professor Flugendorf has prohibited access to the library of merlin for a year, and told Luxkiel he must stand in as a practice dummy for his fellow classmates. For a whole week during practical magic casting class he must stand in, and report back to the professor only at the end of the week for further instructions.
The end of the second, and third week of school came to an end. He had his month's closure with Professor Flugendorf, or what his classmates called him, FluDoor. Lukxiel was not in the least surprised by his decision to go to class this week. He had to finally face punishment with his professor after what he pulled, but for what was to come he hadn’t forgotten about.
Lukxiel would be sitting in his seat in the third row, in the middle of the room. The class had about five rows that went up, and back. Arranged in a cylinder with the board, and teacher desk being on the ground level while the rows rose up.
Professor Flugendorf would be standing at the front of the room. Lecturing about how to cast magic efficiently, and effectively using heat magic himself to show a small example. Writing formulas down on the board, Flugendorf would address the following “ What is the problem with not casting spells with the proper pronunciation as required by laws of magic.” The professor looked at the class as hands went up into the air. The older man brow inching into a burrowing crown until he spotted Lukxiel. “ Ahem.. Ahem.. Lukxiel, would you please answer. “
Flugendorf called out.
“ There’s the chance the rukh will not answer the command since one performing the skill is lacking, as they aren’t familiar with conversing with the rukh.” The boy would say, not sure if his answer was right. Even if he was wrong, he was sure the professor would have to give a good explanation. The professor spoke to the class and gave a fitting explanation and ridiculed Lukxiel for not being well versed in his education to help his fellow students. Flugendorf snickered, instructed his class to heads towards the exit. “ As y’all know, we must have y’all practice as well as learn! So follow me young mages. ”
The older mage lead them to a practice room that was large enough to fit a small class of thirty students. It had holsters for broomsticks across its walls with many types of practice dummies to practice upon. About 50 meters across, and a ceiling about 20 feet high it seems like a solid room to practice magic in. Many of the students were amazed, Lukxiel was tryna remember the breeze from the Sirens Bay. Training there was such a better environment to work with, but he had to accept what the academy had to offer. Professor Flugendorf set up dummies, and hummed a tune that sounded sweet like a snickerdoodle. The young boy was creeped out by him, but the class was quiet and awaiting instructions.
“ Now Class, for the week my favorite student shall stand in as a substitute for the practice dummies. He may use his borg, or own defensive abilities to make easier, but this task requires a certain level of discipline! “ Lukxiel would wonder who had to deal with a class of young, hungry students ready to learn attack magic all week. Flugendorf pointed out Lukxiel, and curled a few times indicating he had to come front and center. Introducing the class to the young boy in this practical hall and stating that he is to be their live dummy for the duration of the period, and til the end of the week. As the end of their monday session came to a close, Lukxiel was dreading having to come for the reminding four classes.
The next four days would come as a shock. About eight of the students focused on healing, and recovery type spells based with their own affinity towards their respective magic. Luxkiel and the other students find themselves with Professor Flugendorf in the PRAC-ROOM. Lukxiel would stand at the end of the hall, about 25 meters away from the group. Over the next two days the first two groups of students sent their respective attacks at him one by one trickling away at their class time. Luxkiel other classmates doing a shoddy job at repairing his broken arms, or burnt legs. For the most part the damage he was receiving was being halved , but a thick, slim layer of skin. Flugendorf was not enjoying that the boy was able to accept the brute of the shoddy magic spells his class was producing.
So during the last two days Flugendorf assisted the remaining students of the class by teaching them a cheat to increase their firepower. He would teach them a method to gather more magoi at the tips of their wands, and to properly channel their energy into a conceptual sense that each of the remaining students understood to a basic level. Once these students learned this, Lukxiel's own defense would prove useless. Towards the end of each class he would find himself with his hair burnt, charred. His clothes tattered, and still some broken bones, and bruises that weren’t even checked. Some of the students in the professor's palms would laugh as he would get brought back to stand back in. Others just watched, shrugged, and turned their heads watching as the young boy was hit over and over.
Lukxiel knew his punishment against the professor would be severe punishment, but for this brute tactic he really thought simple things about those in charge, and employed here. The young child would remember this pain, and lesson. The trauma built in his bones from this experience entailing how he must move forward with his career. He needed to get from under this professor. This was all his thoughts were as the week came to a close. As for next week he hasn’t known what was in store. Luxkiel would find himself dragging a bruised body through corridors, and all the way into his ransacked home not even feeling the homey spirit of his place anymore. The boy's eyes were heavy as he found the silence alone to finally let him take this harsh week in and go to bed after being a practice dummy. Maybe his dreams would prove to be better as his weekend was upon him before Flugendorfs next week of class.
