Job Overview: After the storm Babi has learned that it is time for him to find a suitable shelter for the time being, a place to hide from the storm and with a nearby water source.
The problem would be finding a suitable location that was not already inhabited by living, sentient beings. Animals and corpses would be quite doable to deal with for the strange, snake man. He had no choice but to just slither through miles and miles of the desert, away from the city he was birthed and survived in. He needed to find something that was suitable for his maximum size. Small rocks and holes were fine for normal snakes and scorpions but he was still a human being, or at least his mind set and personality are that of a living person.
A few days would come and go and he still had little to no luck finding any suitable location that he could use as some kind of livable shelter. He was beginning to grow with concern as he knew it was only a matter of time until he would face the elements once again. On top of that major problem was another, water. He could manage to live days or weeks without water due to his new snake physiology but he still could not imagine going too long without the source of life that was water.
However, when he was beginning to wonder if he would find himself discovering a large rocky formation, rather a mountain or a mesa of some kind and on the cliffside of it was a reasonable sized cave entrance. This was exactly what the scaley being was looking for! Desert caves such as this normally contained pools of water inside as well as various fauna that he could sustain on.
He would slither through the entrance without hesitation, as the mouth of the cave welcomed him. The cave was large and winding, with many winding paths, several that would lead to a central chamber that would house a large pool, surrounded by vegetation that survived in the dark, damp area.
He was excited at this and could even see various small animals, insects and even bats scuttering about throughout this central chamber. Yet the trouble with sources of water in a place where they are in dire need, predators tend to be not to far from them.
Babi would hear a snarling growl as a jaguar limps out from a dark shadow that was cast in the back of the chamber. This was the lord of this ecosystem and it was hungry.
