Survive (job Plot)

job:

The snake like being that was currently known as the former orphan, Babi, was very recently finding his snakey back up against a wall. He has just spent the last several days searching for some kind of shelter that he could use as his home or lair. He had finally found a nice, cool cave that was unfortunately already occupied by another predator.

This particular predator was a jaguar that seemed to have wounded itself. Looking closer at the wound, there were deep gashes from teeth in its left hind leg. Looks like there was possibly another jaguar near or something that was even higher on the food chain. The fates were shining down on him today. If this jaguar was at full health and strength there would be slim chance that he would win.

The cave dwelling beast would crouch before launching with its still powerful legs into a full pounce, digging it's finga past the scales of the snake man. Babi would let out a feral, inhuman scream, somewhere between animal and human. His blood spreads into the mouth of the jaguar, quenching it's thirst but not it's hunger.

This is not the first time that Babi has felt pain, ribs and limbs broken, the pain that comes from hunger. So pain like this was nothing new but he did not enjoy the sensation despite his experience. This is when his survival instincts as an animal would begin to kick in. It was not a matter of right or wrong, whose home this was and who was the invader. It was something much more simple, more basic, more primal. It was eat or be eaten. This was the rule of survival of the fittest.

He would twist his head to face the feline as it has his jaws around his body. He would open up his own maw, his fang retracting before extending once again. Spear would activate as the fang that was moving suddenly shoots out aiming for the center mass of the predator. It does a paws of parry swiping at it and breaking the fang in half before it retracts back into his mouth.

It swipes it's paw at Babi who shrinks to his smallest size and tenses the muscles in his body before slithering out of the way. Babi knew that it was not ideal for either member to let the battle of the fittest continue much longer. So he grows to 2 meters in length before lunging at the jaguar taking it by surprise. He swallows half of its body before sinking his fangs in the creature feeling it growing limp rapidly after that. He would shift to his largest size and swallow the rest of the jaguar happy for his meal.

His hunger was halted for the moment so he was able to focus on exploring the rest of the cave and settling into it. He had done it. He had survived for a week out in the desert and was slowly adapting to his environment.
