Teachings from a mad knight (Job/plot/NoM)

The day had finally come for when the Sacred Order of the Flames Reach could make their last push forward to their true goal, conversion of the people of magnostadt. With the conversion of the country of magic the Flames Reach numbers of loyal worshippers would skyrocket. Not only that but as members of the Flames Reach, which is a sect of Sassan, Magno would become loyal to Gilles country and king. Of course this was all what the High Priestess known as Gilles had planned, but a lot could happen of course between now and then or the plan could have a completely different outcome as well.

This final step was focused yet again on the students of the world renowned magician academy of Magnostadt. Previously, they had targeted some of the students by only using their words more so than anything else. However, this time the sacred order would be focusing on using the proof of actions over words to persuade students. They were going to set up a special class just for the students. This would be so that the class could strengthen the students for their own purposes and capabilities while enticing other students to become a part of their organization. Gilles believed that this would most likely prove to be the best method since the students all strived to be the best magicians in their academy.

Like the other days before this Gilles would have her inner circle instruct her hidden flames, the main body of the Flames Reach loyal followers and worshiper, to go and inform their students along with others of the classes that the religious order would be holding. Along with this they would place up posters and other forms of advertisements that would serve as attempts to gather the students attentions.

Gilles would be preparing once again with the hidden flames that would serve as her sort of hand maidens. She needed help basically for every type of task besides that of combat, in the field of battle was the only time she felt useful now a days. However, she would have to put on a brave front as she goes to the warehouse where the classes are of course being held.

There would be several dozen there, all eager or at least intrigues to learn from the magicians of the Flames reach. This was great, this was at least twice the number of students that she had persuaded with her words about a week ago. She would look at them all before looking at her first child she had named Loew. Being a living Loew could not speak mainly because of the way he was created and designed by his mother. However, he still had hands and knowing what Gilles normally intended without her needing to say anything to the construct. He would begin to use the strange signs that gilles had used in order to communicate in limited ways with her members. That and it also helped that she had relayed what she wanted to say well in advance to her inner circle.

The spokesperson that had been chosen for this day would begin to speak to the students that were brought before them, using the words of their High Priestess. “You all have gathered here in order to become stronger magicians so that you may advance further in the academy of magic as you all desire for. The High Priestess herself will teach you all as well as the high ranking members of the SOFR.” They would all look at their excited and hopeful to become stronger from their training. They knew that a majority of the Magno branch were all magicians but they all did not know anything really about the High priestess herself. “I am afraid to let you all know that this training will be incredibly difficult as well as you will not be learning any actual magic. You will be able to use this training however to better use your magic. Magicians are the losers that like to attack from a distance because they are rather flabby or rather frail. So we shall teach you all how to fight up close and with your bodies!” The inner circle member did not really understand or believe what his high priestess was saying through him being a magician himself but said as he was instructed.

The students would all look nervous at this but they would obey. In all honesty Gilles was using this to teach them because her magicians were exactly fighters, they were merchants with very few of them actually capable of strong combat by themselves. SOFR wasn’t exactly the combat experienced order of knights that it was when Gilles parents had created the order. SOFR was the type that focused on tactics of surprise more than superior skill or numbers. The Hidden Flames were named as such for that exact same reason, it was unknown who they were since they all wear masks, they could be friends family the lady who bakes the bread, anyone at all. They were the hidden force that would influence and kill at a moments notice so she would teach them the way she and only she fought.

For that entire day gilles would personally train the students. She did this by showing how weak they all were. She had them start with sparring with her all at once, using their magics and her with her body and skills. They would cast spells but she would show them the unexpecting and unpredictable style that she alone had, making none of her moves able to predict or see steps ahead of. This was to show them what she said was correct, they all were weak, now if they were true magicians she would not have been able to take on so many without her full strength. This would break their confidence and moral as they are defeated by a woman who was clearly fighting at a diminished capacity. Next would be her actually training them physically as well as showing them basic fighting skills that all knights of sassan know. She would spend a week or so training them in such a manner that they would be able to see an improvement with their magics and several of them were already coming up with spells for fighting in such a sporadic and random style. Gilles would grin seeing the improvements in not just their physiques but their magic as well knowing they would have to train on a daily basis in order to become stronger.

This would be enough for now though as the high priestess leaves them to the other members as she needs to make preparations for the next stages.
