In this case, they've heard of a group of thugs who keep destroying their lamplight magic tools and asked you to go to their hideout in the forest and take care of them.

Even their weapons are rudimentary spears fashioned from crudely sharped chunks of metal and branches from the forest floor. The even seem to wear vines wrapped around their waste.

In order to fully prove your loyalty and join the clan, they've asked that you take out someone who has failed to meet their standards. There are a few clan dropouts who've left on unfavorable terms, having given you one of their locations and asked you to dispatch of them quickly. If you succeed you are sure to be given the opportunity to join.
