The Crusades Entail III: Risking Death

It were to be yet another good day crusading within Reim, Zana and his comrades having traveled far from their nation. The days were fairly alright and nothing bad had yet happened to Zana. He was doing well on his crusades thus far but still, not a lot of time had come to pass as this was Zana's fifth day in Reim. Him and his fellow knights had only begun to enter the more populated areas of the Reim nation, having gone through a series of villages and small towns but not anywhere very dense with people. The current target for crusades were cities and areas where information on any locations of dungeons could be learned about. With durable armor, sharp lances, and mighty horses, Zana and his comrades would enter a fairly larger town than they've been usually coming to visit. They were to come into town blazing with horses, and preaching Sasan's faith. A lot of the village would end up feeling intimidated by the knights, and some would even ask of what the knights wanted here. The knights with Zana tried to be peaceful but others that were to break off from Zana and his group would quickly disperse into the village to question people. Zana himself and some of his comrades would just talk to the people and explain to them their intent for coming here and how they wished to share the religion of Sasan. Some who talked to Zana and the knights with him would show interest in the religion, and so the magician boy would go further in depth on his faith.

However, after an hour, a loud commotion were to be heard from the other side of the village where the other knights had gone off to. What is it that is happening over there? Zana hoped that the other knights who went over there did not do something brash. The magician boy knew some of his fellow knights could be very pushy and rude to foreigners but he had confidence in them not to make unnecessary enemies. Zana and some of the knights he would be with were to immediately ride to the other side of the village to see what the commotion was. Upon riding into the vicinity of the situation, Zana were to be met by people rioting against him and the other knights with him. In the distance, the other knights were to be fighting with villagers equipped with swords and shields. What the hell was going on!?

"Retreat from the battle! Stop attacking, or it will only get worse!"

"Uhm, coming through! We shall leave, I and everyone else apologise! Just please let our men go!!"

Zana quickly were to shout out to the other knights to retreat and to stop attacking or else the situation will only escalate and worsen. The other knights with Zana were quite confused and would begin to push aside villagers to get to the other knights fighting rioters. Trying to calm the situation, Zana would yell to the rioters that they will leave but to leave the other knights alone. He and his group would defend against the rioters and move through the mob to their comrades who had probably been too forceful and aggressive with the villagers. Zana and his group would get the others and quickly try to retreat from the situation, but a lot of the knights were not content with retreating. Zana knew it was for the best though and at least some other knights supported everyone retreating. The villagers were also well equipped for some reason, and it was better off avoiding them. The rioters were far too numerous anyhow.
