Knuckles had gotten a match proposal from the Coliseum match director had heard of an old fighter returning and thought it would be good to mix old and fresh blood in the upcoming fights.  Knuckles didn't know much about the male other than he was indeed a man. Other than that it didn't much matter the rest.  Knuckles was in the locker room getting into his single white rob attire.  Of course, this outfit was matched with his brown sandals and his golden chain around his neck. His slave tattoos were visible in this and of course the scars as well.

The weapons he had brought with him today was his shield worn on his left arm, his sword fitting in the middle of the shield, his yo-yo sitting on his upper back, his darts and dart glove on his right arm, one of the darts resting in the chamber.   A single vile of Charry number 5 in the sleeve of his glove.  Lastly, he was wearing his hammer on his lower back.   The hammer was magic, so maybe he could find some good openings with his weapons.

Knuckles made sure all his gear was solid before heading to the gate waiting for his name to be called. He wondered just what this guy could do, and if he would make this fight interesting. Knuckles didn't really care for once he actually had some money riding on his fight, so of course, he was going try his hardest to ensure his victory.  As the announcer called out his name the gate opened and Knuckles would look out as it did.

Zafar’s usual routine would be to scout out the coliseum as an audience member first. Then he would choose a fighter that interested him to stalk and isolate. His battles normally took place in dark secluded places at night. Being at the center of attention in the battlegrounds to fight for fame and glory  had never been Zafar’s style. But Zafar was desperate for a fight as soon as possible. His muscles itched and his bones were frozen over with a cold empty feeling, it was as though the assassin were going through withdrawals.  Desperate to relieve his aching desire the red haired human registered for a fight with the coliseum officials. It didn’t matter who he faced as long as it was soon. This would not be the first time the clownish killer had signed up for an official match however. The clerk distinctly remembered Zafar’s performance last time and as the maniac walked away from the registration area he quickly took the news to his superiors.

During his last match, Zafar had thrown the fight and as a result upset quite a number of people. This made him the kind of person crowds loved to hate. The prospect of seeing him get crushed would likely draw in quite the crowd. Naturally, they would choose to pit Zafar against one of the more brutal combatants available. That way Zafar wouldn’t be able to get off with just a few heavy but non-disabling wounds this time. Word was quickly spread that the violent Fanalis warrior who crippled Rufi would now be fighting the despicable clown of the coliseum and the hour of the match approached quickly. The stands weren’t packed to full but the number of people who had come out to see this match had certainly swelled beyond the average audience for a match not associated with the champion or some kind of special event.

Oblivious to most of the context surrounding him, Zafar finished preparing his gear in the waiting room and performed one final check before emerging. The 26 Rings of Pain and Cutting Chance cards went without saying as they were always on Zafar’s person. The rings were forged around his very body and are placed at his wrists, biceps, thighs and ankles each getting three rings with the final two rings at his neck. The cards were hidden within the clown’s clothing placed in various hidden pockets.  At the small of his back was the Bloody Branch, a crimson dagger made from a base of special wood with metal forged around it. The sword breaking dagger was tucked into Zafar’s pants just behind the abdominal plate which serves as the sheath for the Abyss Piercing Cloth which was neatly coiled with the handle was bound gently by its own cloth-like blade. At Zafar’s feet a pair of boots with silver wing designs were fastened securely and to top it all off the Wetboy embraced his profession by wrapping his flying carpet around himself allowing it to function like a cloak which covered Zafar’s face and left arm.

Everything was set. Zafar began walking out of the waiting area and into the Battle Grounds, reaching up to bite his own thumb dealing D-tier damage to himself. The small parasite inside Zafar’s brain named “Love” bathed in the chemicals this dull pain released ensuring that it did not act up in the middle of the fight. Meanwhile, Zafar regulated the pheromones in his body sending signals to the winged spiders which now nested within his flesh. He had already slowed the amount of food being produced for them to make them hungry, but now he was signaling that it was dangerous to go outside due to a predator of some sort. The swarm was getting agitated and their movements throughout Zafar’s body was making goosebumps come and go across the assassin’s skin. As such, the sunlight that hit his exposed right arm felt pleasant to Zafar as he finally emerged into the area and casually walked towards the center at a leisurely pace.

Zafar’s arrival caused a series of boos and slander to erupt from the audience. There were more than a few shouting things like, “We don’t care about this one!” and “Tear that cheating trash limb from limb!” Making it clear that many were happy to see blood fly if you put someone hated enough up for slaughter. These cries had no impact on the Assassin. Zafar’s mind was already focused solely on the foe at the other end of the massive coliseum. From this far away, Zafar could see the general features of his enemy and smiled bitterly to himself. The red hair didn’t prove Fanalis might as Zafar himself showed. But something told him that this coliseum fighter with slave markings wasn’t an exception to the rule like Zafar. Having been a slave himself, Zafar held a rare sense of sympathy towards Fanalis as a whole. They were captured and raised from birth to be killing machines much like himself. But on the other hand he found their way of fighting to lack aesthetic. Though he didn’t find them cowardly and entitled like he did magicians, he still preferred human opponents.

Resigned to the predicament Zafar had gotten himself into, he continued to walk casually towards the center of the arena while watching his opponent. There was no point in exerting himself when his enemy already had far more stamina than he could dream of. Hidden beneath the carpet, Zafar’s left arm slowly reached behind his back as he strolled at a casual pace in no rush to get to the center. At this rate it would take him a minute or two to get there. Impatience was grinding at Zafar as his blood boiled, but he knew that this time he couldn’t simply play with a toy. A live beast was standing across from him and it would likely tear his throat out the second he let his guard down. The assassin would watch his target first and decide on a plan and the conditions needed to fulfill it.

As the clown entered the fighting stage, Knuckles looked him over as well as he could from where he stood in his starting gate. The man was dressed like a clown,  Knux didn't even chuckle in fact, he walked out flexing his muscles.  Knuckles started to walk out of his gate reaching up for his yo-yo as he did.  He had taken 3 steps before he started his attacks.   With the 3rd step, he took Knuckles would break off into a run, sprinting to his left.  These movements would be burring speeds for a short time, he was able to do these in small burst but the blurs weren't something that was going to stay with this level of speed.  Running at an angle he was heading for the area wall, he was testing his foe's speed of sight and how he would react to Knux's speeds. If startled Knuckles would know he had a serious fighter on his hands if not Knuckles would have to take things a bit more serious from the start.

The crowd was cheering for Knuckles, something that was very unnatural as he was a bloodthirsty monster, it was a bit refreshing he had to admit.  From this point he knew he had to give a show that even Ganbo would be happy to have watched and put on, this level of performance would come with either a fast end or a long fight, he wished for the sooner rather than the latter, he had a reputation to uphold of course.

Within the matter of a few seconds, the dirt trail would start to find its way to Knuckles as he was about 10-12 meters away from the wall and equal distance from the male.  Once at the wall Knuckles would start to run on the wall its self.  With each step, he was covering about 2 meters allowing him to move fairly quickly around the area walls.   Knuckles would then divert from the walls back onto the ground now coming to the back right side of his foe, it was time to test his reaction time.  Moving in about 4 meters Knuckles was now running around to the back of the clown while maintaining a 9-meter distance from him, slinging his yo-yo with all his might the yo-yo would be hurled as the blades on the outer rims started to slice through the air, and a whistle could be heard as it rocketed to the Clown. In the Meantime Knuckles was still running in a circle around his foe.   The attack was aimed at the arm and rug, trying to shatter the bone with the sheer impact and let the blades shred through the flesh.

The yo-yo had a 1-meter by 1-meter hitbox, from Knux's standpoint that was most of the mid of the man's body. He was eager to see just was going to occur. When the yo-yo got half way to the target location Knuckles started to step back into that blurring speeds level to mask his upcoming movements.
Of course, once the crowd saw the yo-yo they all started to cheer and even some yelled could be heard about it being his finisher weapon, they had seen it saw through some many before and they were hoping it would again.

Casual steps continued even as the fighter opposite the arena from Zafar suddenly burst into high speed action. Zafar’s head tilted slightly as a coy smile danced across his lips. The sheer size of the arena was rather inconvenient for the human assassin, he simply couldn’t be bothered to rush across the battlefield to meet an opponent. The crimson haired killer was now slightly grateful to Knuckles upon seeing how swiftly the primal warrior was running. Zafar’s stride held steady for a bit as his eyes deliberately widened and then  relaxed, causing his vision to open up to his peripherals. The clown sacrificed focus on a specific point in favor of improving his kinetic vision allowing him to calmly and confidently turn his head to follow Knuckles showing that he could indeed track tha fanalis’ movements. This was something of a trick or a false claim however. If Zafar were only three meters away he would be hard pressed to follow the full speed of his enemy, but if it were at a distance of more than 5 meters Zafar was confident he could keep up.

Once Knuckles had caused Zafar to turn his head 45 degrees the casual walk forward came to a halt. Zafar’s right foot stepped behind his left in an about face starting position. But instead of executing a sharp spin Zafar kept turning his head to the point that he needed to turn at the hips as his right arm smoothly moved to rest across his chest. This would naturally lead to both of the assassin’s hands being hidden. Nimble Fingers ensured that two metal playing cards of Zafar’s Edged Chance deck were quickly drawn and held at the ready between the assassin’s index and middle fingers.  Hoping the fanalis would suddenly come running at him full tilt, Zafar prepared these weapons intending to target his prey’s legs. Once Zafar could no longer contort his body, then his footwork began with a clean pivot that allowed him to keep turning. As Knuckes reached Zafar’s back side the human would be in no position to dodge an attack using physical means. His body was all twisted up but Zafar’s piercing gaze was looking back over his right shoulder keeping watch on Knuckles right up until the moment the fanalis threw the giant hunk of metal he was hefting around.

Though the fanalis didn’t give his attack away with a wind up, the way he launched off the walls and then closed the distance while still circling had already psychologically primed Zafar for an attack. Had Knuckles performed a feint first his, efforts might have borne fruit. But the instant the large object within Zafar’s field of view suddenly separated from knuckles and began moving towards him at high speeds the assassin snapped into action. Zafar consciously focused his eyes to return them to normal vision as magoi swelled up from his body and into the flying carpet draped around Zafar’s face and body. If Knuckles were watching carefully he would likely noticed how the makeshift cloak suddenly pushed flat against the clowns body in an unnatural manner. A magical force caused Zafar to fly to his right for an instant at top speed. Though the force only lasted for two meters of travel, the left over energy caused Zafar to fly even farther albeit with greatly diminishing speeds.

At the instant of take off Zafar relaxed his body from its tightly bound state and he willed his feet to kick off the ground. His body flew the full two meters before his feet could commit the act and change the slow rightward turn Zafar had been executing into a snappy turn which brought the assassin facing knuckles’ yo-yo just as it passed in front of him. Zafars movements were as much instinct as they were conscious intent. It was impossible to think through all the pros and cons of using the cards Zafar intended for Knuckle’s kneecaps on the Yo-Yo. But it was a threat and gave the enemy a ranged option which ran counter to Zafar’s own desires. The split second decision was made to unleash two examples of Zafar’s Ace Dealing for the audience to see one after the other in quick succession at the very end of the human’s turn. As if to punctuate the moment the weapon became taught under tension with the twin attacks. A single chain link was the target of both thrown cards. From two meters away the chain was well within Zafar’s range and his aim would be true.

Following his attack, Zafar’s feet would touch the earth once more two and a half meters from his starting position bracing as he slid an additional one and a half meters for a total distance traveled from Zafar’s starting position of five meters. Zafar would come to a stop with both hands still outstretched from throwing the cards as they came to rest on either side of him with upturned open palms. Now there was no attempt to hide his hands in contrast to Zafar’s previous behavior, a gesture which the assassin left Knuckles to interpret however he saw fit.

Knuckles kept his A tier speeds up still running in the same direction, he was watching the clown man carefully to see just what his plan was.  Knuckles’ brows lifted as his eyes widened, the man’s cloak lifted from his back and then pushed him to the side, he saw him bend his legs but they made no further movement.  Knuckles would act quickly as soon as he saw the man get pushed Knuckles would take a single step and move so fast in this single step he would cover a short distance of 3 meters instantly.  This Put Knuckles 6 meters away from the man, as Knuckles reached this distance two silver playing cards could be seen from Zafar’s hands, Knuckles would pop his right wrist upwards slightly, starting the recall of his yo-yo.  The Flip of his wrist would cause a slight bit of slack in the chain allowing it to then catch the chain, driving its momentum and energy into riding the chain all the way back to his hand. However, as the chain started to recall, the clown man had struck the chain with two strikes, it looked like he was trying to pinpoint attack the same link, but with Knuckles moving forward and then recalling it the chain as moved too much to allow that to happen.  Mostly because the chain was still in Knuckles' hand so when he moved with his enhanced speeds the chain went with him traveling at the same speeds.    The two strike would cause the yo-yo to arch as the chain bent with each strike, the result would make it curve and slam into the magic barrier on the first  row, the impact on the barrier would send a shock wave through the barrier and the reaction of the crowd’s scream became intense in that section.    The yo-yo would ride the wall before the energy in the yo-yo gave out, not allowing the yo-yo to come back as he wanted.

Knuckles would take another single step traveling another 3 meters instantly, by this time, the clown's arms should have been retracting from his attempts to strike the chain.    Knuckles would pull the chain towards his chest, then swing his arm outwards towards the target. After hurling the object in question at the clown, Knuckles would let the chain go from his grasp.  While the chain made his way towards the clown Knuckles would keep a close eye on the cloak this guy was wearing, making sure to look if it would be used again.  Knuckles took another step, it could be seen that moving at these speeds of 3 meters took a small toll on the man, but he seemed to either not care or it wasn’t heavily affecting him yet.  With this step he instantly traveled another 3 meters, this step put him in striking range.  Nimble Fingers allowed for him to instantly draw his blade from its sheath. Having both feet firmly planted he would swing his blade while twisting his torso aiming his blade to cut his head from his body. Of course, Knuckles had invested stamina into this attack to ensure it was strong enough to chop the head right off if contact was made.  The attack was from behind the man, even if before he was able to track Knuckles movement’s but not clearly see him, there was no way he would he would have been able to keep his focus on the yo-yo while attempting to keep up with the instant steps of Knuckles.  Once, his strike was done being follow through Knuckles would take 4 steps each one propelling him 3 meters instantly as he would move to his yo-yo either struck the man he threw it at or was slammed and sunken a few inches into the dirt of the coliseum floor.
Whichever it was Knuckles would move to it and look back to see if his foe was dead or not, either way, Knuckles would put away his sword instantly and pick up the handle of his yo-yo and start reeling it in.  This would allow him to start winding up his yo-yo, of course, he, if his foe was alive his distance from him, would be at least 12 meters, allowing him to the room he needed to react if anything were to come at him. Either way, the previous actions showed Knuckles that the man was dangerous with the unknown items he was carrying on his person. Knuckles was interested in seeing them all in action, but not here. His persona didn’t allow him to take it easy on anyone, his habits from slave fighting, of course, his motto was true, the first lesson he ever learned.   He was strong, he would survive, and he would kill those weaker to ensure they could never rise up to kill him.

Spoiler:

As Zafar turned around to face the yo-yo chain in order to launch an attack the situation had already shifted slightly. Though it was far too late to change the target of his cards the fact that Knuckles had suddenly closed the gap between them by a significant fraction had not been lost on Zafar.  The cards flew and though the first merely bit into the metal of the chain the second cut right through severing it completely. The yo-yo, still under the force of Knuckles initial launch, would fly off toward the distant arena wall nearly 30m away where it would crash against the magical barrier which protected the audience. The spectacle had no bearing on Zafar’s mind however as he traveled backwards through the air and watched the figure ahead suddenly blink towards him closing the gap a second time.

Thankfully, this time Knuckles performed an action which bought Zafar the precious time needed for his feet to touch ground and his mind to process a response to the aggression.  With a great pull and swing the Fanalis would throw his chain at Zafar who was now 2.5m from where he had been standing before the yo-yo attack. The assassin had another 1.5m to slide backwards before his movement stopped but simply moving backwards would not be enough to avoid the chain which had been slung in Zafar’s direction. As soon as Zafar’s feet touched ground both hands shot behind his back and he bent his knees while ducking his torso bringing his head lower to the ground and below the chain. The killer kept facing forward unblinkingly even as the chain flew overhead Zafar’s eyes kept Knuckles within his field of vision.

Individually the fanalis’ movements were too fast to see, but as a whole they created a brief set of images Zafar could understand. Knuckles was coming straight for him and ultimately came to a stop standing where Zafar had been prior to the first yo-yo attack. Nimble Fingers allowed Zafar to draw a card in his right hand while his hidden left hand grasped the hilt of his Abyss Piercing Cloth. The fanalis fighter planted his feet as Zafar stood upright from ducking the chain. The human was still sliding backwards due to the flying carpets initial push which allowed him to escape the range of Knuckles slash as there would now be 3m between them. The instant Knuckles blade flashed out Zafar would snap his right hand out throwing a card aimed for Knuckles’ face. This attack was performed simultaneous to a single step backwards while Zafar turned his body so that his covered left side was facing Knuckles. The clown was already out of the range of Knuckles attack, but that did not mean he was safe at this distance. At this point Zafar did not know if Knuckles would continue to pursue him or back off. But his magoi was already gathering at his left hand in anticipation for what may come next. The step was performed quickly so as to put an additional meter between himself and his foe faster than merely sliding would have.

With his yo-yo broken Knuckles grinned, this guy had caused more excitement in the first minute of the fight than all his other Coliseum fights combine.  The carpet trick had put him just out of range but, nothing he couldn't change with a single step, as his blade showed it's self to his foe, the man could be seen tossing a card, at this range it would be hard to move out of the way, but Liftinghis shield and swinging it outwards catching the card in the wooden shield. The card would lay into the shield its self-showing damage had occurred to the shield.  Inhalinga bit deeper than normal, something that would go unnoticed as this was the first time Zafar would see Knuckles up close and clear enough to get a solid sight on him.  Knuckles' blurring speeds returned as he moved 2 meters to his right using his shield as a wall between himself and Zafar, he angled his body to hide his torso.  As he moved his body to take the first step Knuckles would open his mouth roaring as loud as he possibly could and scaled the field an additional 5 meters allowing his roar to cover over double its effective range making the roar hit range 8 meters in total.  This would hopefully cause enough pain to Zafar's ear to allow Knuckles the chance he had been looking for and setting up for.

Nimble fingers was useful as his right arm moved over to his left hand slipping the vial of poison out of the sleeve of his glove.  It also allowed for him to pop the cork off the top instantly with a flick of his thumb as he poured the vial onto the dart in the chamber on his glove.  With the distance now 6 meters from Knuckles step, he'd cut his right leg over his planting left one, as he zipped around to turn. His body would flash away from sight as he took a single step towards Zafar investing some stamina into this step to travel 3 meters, they now stood 3 meters apart and Knuckles would be coming up on the empty-handed side of his prey.  Knuckles was like a shark in the water circling his prey before moving in for an attack before his circle was larger as he tested his prey, but now the thing was getting serious.

Bending his sword hand down he'd fire the dart aiming it for the ribs showing to Knuckles from his point of view, by this time, the effect of the roar should still be in play allowing an easier chance for him to hit with his poison dart.   Knuckles would invest a bit more into his movements disappearing again with another step putting him 1 meter behind Zafar where he could now see his other hand reaching for something.  His emerald hues would quickly widen scanning to make use of this position to get a good cut in.  Thursting his blade over the cover of his shield he'd push it towards Zafar's left thigh aiming to stab into the back of it far enough to go throw the muscle or slice into the bone to fracture it.

His body would slide to a halt going 1 meter to Zafar's empty right-hand side. His shield still lifting in front of his body as his sword made it's way back over top his shield and to the right side of his body ready to attack or defend depending on the course of actions taken by the clown.

A smile full of ill intent flashed on Zafar’s face as he came to a stop stepping into a stance that would be prepared for Knuckles’ arrival. The assassin’s feet were shoulder width apart and his legs bent slightly at the knees while his hips settled into a strong center of gravity. The hand which had thrown the card was still empty but it was not where the human clowns true attack would come from. That honor belonged to Zafar’s left hand which had already grasped onto the hilt of his Abyssal Cloth. As Knuckles rose his shield to block the card Zafar drew the weapon slightly upwards so that his arm and hand were above the coil of cloth-like blade wrapped around his abdomen. The conditions were set, now all Zafar needed was for Knuckles to push the close quarters offensive playing to his strengths as a fanalis.

In the brief moment when Zafar was able to see his opponent clearly and up close Zafar would already be on the wait with his trap set. He could afford a short instant in which he took particular note of the slave tattoos the man bore. It reminded Zafar of a fanalish he had freed from slavery several years ago, Liber Aurelius. The assassin did not know if the fighter before him was still a slave being owned in secret or if he had been freed like many others in Reim. But regardless of the circumstance Zafar felt discontented that he would have to rely so heavily on the tools of his trade. This wasn’t the sort of battle Zafar enjoyed but the disparity between himself and his opponent was too great to cover for with grit and wit alone. Magical assistance would be required.

Zafar resolved himself while he kept close watch over Knuckles only for him to disappear and then reappear two meters to Zafar’s right. This was ideal for Zafar since he wanted to keep the surprise waiting in his left hand hidden until his target was within range.  Then the unexpected happened and Knuckles unleashed a mighty roar that shook the air and made Zafar’s very bones tremble. The volume of the battlecry brought pain to Zafar’s ears and his free right hand instinctively reached up for his ear while wincing his eye tightly. The Assassin’s left hand jerked too but the tightness of his grip remained firm causing Zafar to catch himself before he let go and simply allowed his left ear to bare the noise.

The sound of the crowd cheering dulled and a ringing noise replaced it. Zafar lost track of where Knuckles was after the roar and his eyes unintentionally winced shut for a moment. Zafar knew only that his enemy was not in front of him! Magoi surged from the left hand which stubbornly held its grasp and flowed into the cloth-like blade wrapped around Zafar. Magician’s in the audience would see a shroud of black light spread across the Abyssal Cloth as the Void Arm function made it start to unravel itself according to Zafar’s will as fast as it could go.

Ping! A dart made contact with one of the brass rings on Zafar’s right bicep and bit into the metal deeply causing cracks to form and spread across the rings surface. Covering his ears had naturally caused his arm to cover up Zafar’s ribs from the perspective of Knuckles.  But this attack told Zafar that Knuckles had continued to circle him in the same direction. He didn’t have time to think about it in that instance, Zafar could only have faith that Knuckles would close the distance between them decisively so that there was no time to stop before the hidden magic blade unraveled and slashed outwards orbiting Zafar in a clockwise manner. In order to not cut his own flying carpet the slash was performed at a downward angle but this was also so his enemies legs could be threatened. If Knuckles’ frightening mobility could be crippled then Zafar could have a much easier time of things.

The cloth-blade would almost seem like a very long straight sword at the start of the slash but if blocked or upon striking flesh the blade’s cloth-like nature would again be apparent as it coils and wraps around the first obstruction with the blades edge facing in forming a deadly binding that would wrap itself ascending vertically up Knuckles body  in a spiral to ensnare him while cutting into his body at the same time. This attack would come just as Knuckles appeared and was reaching over his shield with a thrust. Zafar was committed to his attack however and he didn’t even have knowledge of where Knuckles was or where his attack was aimed. The killer clown’s legs were also protected by a set of brass rings but they were cut through like butter this time offering hardly any resistance against the fanalis strike. Cold steel dipped into Zafar’s left thigh causing a mix of pain and pleasure to surge through the masochists mind. Excitement pumped through his veins as the sword severed sinews and nicked the clowns bone. The damage might have been even worse if not for the sacrifice of Zafar’s Rings of Pain.

In response to being stabbed, Zafar peformed a Light Step forward 3m. Even more flesh was torn from the back of Zafar's left thigh leaving a trail of blood behind, but the cloth blade behind him would attempt to follow dragging itself along the fanalis slicing apart his muscles and tendons should he be captured. While stepping Nible Fingers allowed Zafar to reach across his chest with his right hand to grasp the hem of his flying carpet.

Upon landing Zafar's left leg would just barely touch the ground enough for the muscles to relax as well as they could considering the damage. The wound was deep and debilitating but for now Zafar would keep his leg attached to his body, though it wouldn’t be supporting much of his weight for the remainder of the fight placing Zafar’s balance slightly out of center favoring his right side. Perfect Balance could make this bearable but it meant that Zafar’s gambits success or failure would likely determine the outcome of the match.

Zafar had activated his weapon but it was too late the strike had already landed on his leg, Zafar’s blade might have been able to bend to the user’s will but, by time it was coming to strike Knuckles was already retracting his blade, it was coming in low aimed for his legs, but without having a clear picture of where exactly Knuckles was the blade had to travel oddly to not cut the carpet worn as a cloak and strike Knuckles, this worked in his favor because as the blade got only an inch away Knuckles was able to take a step with his right leg and instalty trmeters3 meter diagonally to his right and front moving out of the striking distance. It was a good thing he was able to move so fast in an instance or he would of been struck.  Of, course it went without noting that Zafar had moved forward himself putting a full 7 meters between them now.   Zafar had placed distance between the two but left his back open.

Nimble fingers allowed Knuckles to take a dart and slide it into his chamber in an instant while his shield stood as a wall still between the two.  It then allowed him to move his shield arm to his back, replacing the cover of the shield with his sword, while his left hand gripped the handle of his own magical weapon the Attractive hammer. A medium sized hammer in Knuckles opinion, it black color representing the absence of mercy with its user.    Bringing it now back in front of him his shield covered his body and his sword hand hovered over his hammer.  Channeling his magoi into the hammer, a dark red tint of energy start to surround the hammer until it was covered in this aura. This wasn't something he could do for very long, but it would be something that would help him put an end to this fight.

Taking a single step forward Knuckles would close the gap to 3 meters in an instant,  his body would still be unseen as he invested stamina into his legs performing a 3-meter step to his left putting him and the Clown in front of him but offset by a single meter, Knuckles would step again charging the clown, his shield was held in front of his body and his sword off to the right side of the shield as he charged, the hammer's head resting on his left-hand elbow as he was holding the hammer upside down.   His goal was to be attacked by the sword that waved by his enemy, the shark had finished circling and the bull had come out.   The way the clown had moved had put his back to Knuckle during his 3 meter leap forward, allowing Knuckles to move without any sight on his movements from his opponents view.

Knuckles was more offset to the empty right hand of his foe rather than the cover of the cloak worn by the male. Afer all he knew that sword of his opponents could move in odd ways, thus keeping the blade within his sights was key to beating it. With his last step, he had taken Knuckles had sent his body into that of his opponent’s ramming him or attempting to rather, this would allow Knuckles to stab his short sword into the back of his foe while simultaneously slamming his shield into his back too, if this works the sheer force of Knuckles attack combo would put in enough damage alone to knock the wind from the man, not to mention the breath taking pain of the stab if his sword.  The end result would likely force Zafar’s body to be sent forward at least a few meters from the A tier strength behind Knuckles charge and sword piercing.  Knuckles stood with both feet shoulder width apart as he took a defensive posture awaiting to see the results of his attacks before going forward.

"Stop the battle at once! It's gone on long enough, things will end in a draw for now." One of the refs had cried out. The battle had come to an impasse, and either fighter dying would be troublesome. There would no clear winner but the two fighters would have this new experience to follow them. They were both great warriors and it would be a shame for it to end with one of them dead. With their battle coming to an end two soliders would come to the center in order to lead them out of the arena. If the two fighters had an passing words for one another they would be free to let them be heard.
