Jingyi peered down the street as she walked around, one hand resting on the hilt of her sword while her other hung at her side. She was finally off for once, and she intended to enjoy her break. While it was true that the woman enjoyed working, she also enjoyed doing other things ever so often.

And that's when she spotted the tavern, and from inside she could hear rambunctious laughter, singing and the smell of pub food. It was true that better food was served elsewhere and the taste of alcohol tasted bitter to her tongue, Jingyi had to admit that the atmosphere was much more exciting than a boring old restaurant.

With that decided, Jingyi strolled into the pub, a slight skip to her step. She looked around before heading to the bar, her attention caught by the selection of booze. Maybe they had something she had yet to try?

Inside the bar was a few people, but one of the few people of notice would be the rather gigantic man, and incredibly muscular. If it wasn't for his clothing one could mistake him for that of a gladiator, or a barbarian of sorts.Instead he was wearing a skin-tight shirt and a rather dark pair of somewhat ragged pants. He shifted a bit making his body tilt and turn so that more of his front was visible to people entering through the doorway. Under the locks of wild brunette hair was a rather playful face. He looked like the jolly kind of fellow who was incredibly comfortable in situations such like this.

Though the part of him that should've been attracting attention was something most likely did not even notice he was doing. His back was tilted so he could reach behind himself without looking suspicious, his hand on one of the stools lightly shifting. What he was really doing with his hands though was rather devilish. He had an adhesive on a small brush. He was lathering the stool with the small brush hidden against his palm as he applied the clear liquid. This was something that did not take much time though, and soon enough walked away hiding the brush and adhesive in his pant leg before grabbing the completely full mug of beer of the counter.

Once the man had successfully made it closer to the door and gravitated to the corner a bit he leaned against the wall next to the window. He lifted the mug up to his lips tilting the mug as he took a drink letting out a refresh sigh as he licked away some of the foam. "This'll teach him." He said softly in a rather disgruntled voice that shifted as he chuckled a bit.

Jingyi's rather flighty attention was quickly caught when she spotted a rather huge man getting to his feet. If she had to guess he would be an entire foot taller than her, and if it wasn't for his attire, and playful face, she would have written him off as a professional barbarian. His clothes, skintight if she had to guess, was a contrast to her own clothes. It was what she always wore, with her tunic, breeches, sash and breastplate. Her brothers liked to joke that there wasn't much to protect, but the redhead thought differently since her heart was there. Though, her hair was up in a ponytail instead of it's usual army braid.

Her attention was drawn away from the large-statured when the attending bartender asked about which drink she would like, his answer being a simple "Just some fruit juice with rum" and a couple coins being dropped onto the counter to pay for the drink. Despite the rather odd request the drink was made and served in some short minutes. It came in a wooden cup, and inside she could see the pinkish-micture. Taking a small sip, she was glad that the fruit helped with the taste of it, though she could still faintly smell the rum.

Jingyi felt rather childish with her drink, but anything stronger would make her feel dizzy. So, with drink in hand Jingyi looked around before finding a free seat to sit on. She was careful to avoid bumping into the more excited men within the pub, and she was even more careful not to drop her drink on herself. It was between her tip-toeing and quick sips did she spot a free stool by a table where eager patrons were eagerly playing a card game. Deciding that it would be a good place to sit as any, Jingyi turned and headed towards the seat before some other man took it.

He saw the redheaded girl making her way around the tavern as he drunk his ale and wondering if she was  fanalis, he knew not to assume this though because he had met quite a few people back in his hometown of Reim whom had crimson hair, but not part of the warrior race. He decided to let her in on his joke, despite her attire he thought she was a bit cute and it really couldn't hurt to let her at least know about what was about to happen. He lifted his palm up to his mouth and called out to her as much as possible without making it seem suspicious. "Yo red come over here for a minute." He said using his other hand to make a hand gesture that could be easily recognized as being asked for her to come closer to him for whatever purpose it was.

Whether or not she would come closer he would soon enough look over to the chair he had glued. The man would sit down and let out a disgruntled sigh before looking around. "Hey, where's my ale?!" He asked in a rather alarmed toe as he began to stand up. The moment he stood up the stool would try to try to stand quickly before it hit against the bar. The force knocking him off of his balance. He fell to the side and broke the stool as he himself slammed into the ground harder. A few pieces of stolen tavern equipment rolling out of his pocket.

Nicor stared at the situation grinning as he turned over to Red to see what she would think of all that had just happened.  He rubbed the back of his head as he soon stopped chuckling having enjoyed the little event that had unfolded. "Pulling a trick on those who deserve it is usually great." He said as he took another gulp of the ale that had belong to the man that fell.

Jingyi stopped just short of the stool when she heard someone calling for a redhead. She glanced at the man before giving a quick look around the tavern to be sure that he wasn't referring to some other redhead. But there was no one else that she could see with crimson hair, and he even seemed to be gesturing to her.

With that minor revelation, Jingyi wandered over to the man, edging around several tables and chairs as she crossed the tavern. Her cup was still in hand, and she was careful to not spill any over herself or of the other patrons of the establishment who were jostling around.

"So, what was it that you..." Midway through her question, the redhead was interrupted by a yell and crash from behind her. The short woman gave a small jump before turning around to see what had happened.

She couldn't quite see what the ordeal was, so Jingyi had to get onto her toes before she could see a faint shape groaning on the floor. Moving slightly to the side, Jingyi was able to spot that the shape was a man with a seat glued to his arse, the rest of the stool in nearby pieces. The final thing about him was that there were pieces of equipment she recognized as belongings of the tavern. It would seem like the thief tried to take things that were not his to take and got punished for it.

With a snort, Jingyi turned back to face the man who had called her earlier before realizing that she almost sat down on the very same stool. With a look, she glanced at him, one of her eyebrows raising in question. If he had called her over to escape that embarrassment that would mean that either he or a friend had set the trap.

"I take it that you were the one who set up the prank?" Jingyi asked, her head cocking to the side, not unlike a bird. "Though it was well deserved and if there's no harm then there's no foul," she added with a small chuckle.

He smiled as the bartender took care of the man who was caught red handed stealing from the establishment. Hearing her question he looked down at her and the way she looked at him reminded of a small red cuckoo. He thought that the short girl was rather cute and let out a soft chuckle as he nodded in response to her question. He looked into her eyes with his impish smile still quite bright. "I saw him stealing some small things when I came in, and when he left to steal some stuff after ordering a beer I decided to dish out some punishment." He said nodding softly as he tipped his mug a bit to show that he was drinking the beer that the man had ordered. "Luckily he already paid."

Nicor chuckled a bit and he nodded to a the nearest table to the wall, a simple two person one that they could sit at together and have a discussion, or things of the like. He sat his beer down as he kept his eyes on her as he motioned for the woman to sit down and join him, after all she had piqued his interest since she had listened to him and came over when he had called for her. Most people would've blown him off.

"You remind me of a little Crimson Cuckoo, It's adorable." He said idly as if it were no trouble for him to just say aloud that he found her attractive. The thing being, for him it was easy to admit these kind of things. He had grown up in a tavern learning how to socialize and joke around along with being a rather natural extrovert whom rather enjoyed being in social situations such as this one.

He knew it was rude to ask for someone's name without giving your own first, so he decided that he would initiate the pleasantries himself. He leaned forward in his chair regardless if she had chosen to sit down and join him, or even chose to stay standing in place. "My name is Nicor, I'm from Reim and enjoy pulling tricks on people who deserve such things." He said waving his hand around as he took another drink of the ale he had been enjoying. "Also, talking to a cute Crimson Cuckoo like you is rather enjoyable as well."

Jingyi had to tilt her head back so she could look at the man's face, and at the sight of the smile, as mischevious as it was, she couldn't help but smile herself. Jingyi was like that with smiles, they were always infectious to the girl and she smiled whenever someone else did.

"Well, he had it coming to him. Good thing you spotted him," Jingyi chuckled, her smile widening as she brushed some hair behind her ear with a hand.

Her gaze glanced at the beer that he showed off before her eyes quickly glanced down at her own drink which was pale pink in color with a cherry and ice in it. It was fruity rum, supposedly a good choice for lightweights, and it made her feel somewhat childish. She was a grown woman, yet she had the height, face, and drink of a young girl.

Pushing the thought out of her mind as Nicor gestured to the table. Tightening her grip on the cup, she followed him over to it before sitting down across from him. Her drink was set down on the table before Jingyi rested her own arms on the table.

"A crimson cuckoo..?" She began to ask before her voice died in her throat as he called her adorable, the tips of her ears turning red as her hair. While it was true that the soldiers in her squadron were mostly male, they paid more attention to her abilities than to her gender, so it wasn't often that Jingyi got complimented or called cute. Though, being called adorable, despite the fact that the pit of her stomach felt fluttery in embarrassment, she couldn't deny that it was nice.

Her fingers wrapped around her glass as she looked at the man, her head slightly tilted to the left as she listened. If she was right, then Nicor would be the first person she has met from Reim. Though, him being interesting went far beyond being a foreigner.

His compliment of her being cute caused Jingyi's cheeks to turn a slight shade of pink from embarrassment, and she hoped that he wouldn't notice it between her red eyes and red hair.

"Ah, it's nice to meet you, Nicor," Jingyi replied as she looked down from his face to her drink, "My name's Jingyi, but feel free to give me a nickname! I'm a born and raised citizen of Kou, and well, I guess you can say I like to work. Well, not paperwork, but well, laborious work or work that helps Kou." Jingyi shrugged her shoulders, unsure what to say about herself as she tapped her finger against her glass before lifting it and taking a small sip.

Nicor leaned back into his chair a bit as he listened to the girl introduce herself to him. He wondered how old she was, trying not to guess too much based on her appearance as she knew people could easily look younger or older than their actual age. He guessed from what she said about working for Kou that she was most likely a civil worker of some sort. This was only an assumption of course, that he hoped he would be able to confirm through further conversation with the redhead. The next part of the conversation that had taken a hold of his interest was the nickname mention. Nicor tapped his chin, and decided to just use a shortened version of the nickname he had given her.

"Cuckoo will work as a nickname for ya, but don't forget that means you can give me one too." He said as he lifted his mug up into the air to signify that he had emptied it. Soon one of the many waiters walking by and grabbing it before walking off to get him a refill. He decided that this would be a great time to get to know her even more. He leaned in and tilted his head as he looked into her eyes. He was incredibly taller than her, and he found short things absolutely adorable so he knew that he was going to end up flirting with her quite a bit.

"It's good that you like doing work, I've grew up in a tavern myself so I enjoy places like this." He said nodding softly as the bar maid came by setting another ale in front of him. He nodded kindly in return and handed her a small tip before he turned his head back to Cuckoo. "Though in my spare time I like playing games, or whatever gathers my attention." He shifted a bit and tilted his head getting into the conversation more.

"Oh I also forgot to mention that I happen to be an archer, but it's a skill i inherited from my mother." He said chuckling softly knowing how most people didn't believe him at first. Most people would think that he'd be a warrior, but in fact he was a better archer due to his keen eye. Though he did know how to fistfight just a little bit incase that he ran out of bolts. "What about you Cuckoo, tell me about yourself."

Jingyi wasn't even halfway through with her drink when Nicor lifted his own cup for a refill. Lifting her drink, she took a small sip as she watched him tap his chin. There was still an affable smile on her face, not surprised that he had chosen to call her Cuckoo. Though, as he leaned closer her cheeks started to burn hot, but she didn't dare lean away from him. In response, she raised her chin and looked into his eyes, one of her red brows rising.

She only looked away when the bar maid came by to drop off Nicor's drink, though she looked back at him after she sipped some more of her rum. She was careful not to interrupt him while he talked, she didn't want to be rude to a new friend after all, and she did her best not to tap her fingers as she often did when her hands were free.

"You did? In Riem, that is?" She inquired as she shifted and leaned back in her own chair. Her ankles crossed, one over the other as she sat comfortably. She intended to participate in the conversation, one-sided ones were often boring and she was glad that the man was chatty. But she paused as he mentioned that he was an archer, her eyebrows raising in surprise. With someone of his stature, she would imagine him being some sort of warrior like her. But to each his own, after all.

"Well..." Jingyi began, her eyes looking to the side as she tried to think of a nickname for the man. It had to be something as nice as Cuckoo, though it couldn't be cutesy since she didn't want to upset Nicor. Well, she could come up with one later, "I guess I'll start off with my job? I'm a soldier of the Kou army, officially within the third infantry. Just means I'm a foot soldier, but I plan on upgrading to an infantry officer, soon!" She said with a slight chuckle, tilting her head as she looked back at Nicor. "I'm good with a sword, all thanks to my father, though I might learn how to use a spear soon. They seem fun to use," Jingyi said, trailing off towards the end as she thought about getting a spear to use.

With a small smile, Jingyi sat up in her chair as she looked at Nicor, "A lot of the others like to say I like doing stunts, which I guess is kinda true. Oh! I also like fighting, it's such a thrill. Pranks seem fun, but I never really got around to playing a lot of them, strict family an all... Oh, family! Yeah, well, I grew up in a military family, I guess. Two older brothers and a navy dad." Jingyi chuckled, shrugging her shoulders as she came to an end. She brought her drink to her lips and took another small sip before setting it down.

She looked at her cup, which was only halfway full now, and she could already feel it. Moving her arms off the table, she looked back at Nicor and smiled softly, "I'm not really good with nicknames, so I'll just stick with Nicor, if that's fine... Unless you're okay with some cheesy military rank for a nickname. But, I don't mind calling whatever you want for a nickname."

He listened to her and nodded softly as a first response to her question about Reim. "Yes, I've grown up there my entire life." He said as he began to drink his second beer while humming softly. He enjoyed speaking with her so far, her personality was cute and it was easy to talk to her in general. Though Nicor never really had troubles with speaking with people, because like he had said he grew up in a bar learning how to charm and socialize long before he even began to walk or talk.  He saw her ears redding a bit and his smile grew a bit wider in response.

When she began to talk about herself he rubbed his chin softly as he listened to her making sure to take in each word that she was saying. He took in every word and noted it in his head. He was a bit surprised to hear that she was a soldier, but he knew not to judge books by their covers. She could be incredibly skilled at what she did for all he knew. Though he was a bit impressed with her mention of a promotion along with the fact she was trying to get proficient in another weapon, finding this rather admirable about her.

He nodded softly to her talk about prank and felt a little bad she didn't get to express her childness or just enjoy playing around with her family and friends. Though he understood somewhat after playing multiple pranks on higher class individuals. It would often cause them to feel ashamed about their honor or complain that he was a fool. He however loved using his cleverness in order to play ticks on people who deserved them or rather just to enjoy himself and to enjoy life to the fullest. It was part of his creed as whom he was after all.

He chuckled softly and rubbed the back of his head as he leaned in a bit more looking into her eyes with a peaceful smile on his face. "I honestly don't care too much about nicknames, you can give me whatever you want as one or Nicor." He said nonchalantly as he usually didn't care what people called him. "I'd just like for you to call me what you'd like to." He honestly spoke as he shifted a bit in his seat.

He sipped his ale softly in the space between conversation feeling quite content as he thought about how he'd like to spend his evening, but then soon got an idea. "Would you like to spend the evening with me?" He asked thinking it would be rather fun to stay with her all day.

"If that's the case, then I'll just call you Nicor for now," Jingyi announced as she moved into a more comfortable position and took a small sip of her drink,

She looked at Nicor and returned the smile with a jubilant smile, the dimples on her face becoming ever so noticeable. But at his request, it was easy to see her grow eager. Her eyes lit up as her smile softened. Jingyi nodded her head as she set her cup down.

"I would love to spend more time with you, Nicor," she replied with a slight chuckle as she tilted her head to the side. Some strands of red hair fell into her face, which she quickly brushed back with a hand before leaning back into her seat.

"But first, can you tell me more about Reim? Just while we finish our drinks, ya know? If you grew up there, then there must be some pretty different stuff you've seen!"

Her words were followed by a hopeful smile as she looked at the man. One of her eyebrows rose as she interlaced her fingers together and waited for his answer.

He smiled and chuckled as he heard her words of wonder, he was so delighted to see that she had taken an interest in his home country. He might've been the same way about Kou had he met her in Reim instead of actually getting to experience the majestic and ornamental Kou on his own behalf. He nodded in agreement delighted to spin a yarn or two about his home to let her get a better feel of what the place is like. He sat there in contemplation as he drank his beer for a moment trying to gather his wits of what to elaborate on first and foremost.

"Well Reim is a rather interesting place, our government used to be ruled by one family, but now it's shifting to that of an oligarchy at least that's what it seems to me." He hummed softly as he tilted his wrist sloshing the drink in the mug as the muddled thoughts of his home cleared up in his head."We believe from where I grew up in Reim that anyone can rise to power through strengthening themselves and honing their skills to their own advantage."

As he spoke he remembered his childhood rather well and his first time exploring most of the country for himself. "The coliseum is beautiful, at least in the fact of seeing people fight one another as well as fighting extraordinary beasts." He drank his drink not evening thinking of the taste as he spoke of his country. "I myself plan on going back to the coliseum once I am stronger so that I can see how I've grown and if I can make my mother proud as an archer, and son."

Soon enough he had finished his ale and set the cup upside down to signify to the waitress that he was done with his drink. "That's all I can really describe on my own, but in the future I can take you there for you to experience on your own." He said with a soft smile as he stood up pushing his chair in before walking over and holding his hand out to her. "Shall we go for a walk to decide what we do next?

As Nicor mentioned oligarchy, the woman mumbled it under her breath as she tried to remember what it meant. It was a government ruled by several people, wasn't it? What would Kou be like as an oligarchy? Would it be better than just one man ruling the country? She shook the thought out of her head as she returned her full attention to Nicor so she wouldn't risk hearing something interesting about Reim.

She had heard some tales about Reim's coliseum, and it sounded pretty exciting. She knew that men fought against men, some of them dying if she remembered correctly, though they fought beasts too? But what kind of beasts? She supposes they would have to be pretty big and terrifying.

As Nicor spoke, Jingyi raised her own cup and took a small sip. By now, her cheeks were starting to look pink from the alcohol. It wasn't often her body got to digest alcohol, and her, ahem, vertical challenges didn't help her deal with a lot of alcohol. But, she tried as she drank some more of the fruity rum before setting the drink back down.

"I'm sure that you would make her very proud," Jingyi commented with a tilt of her head, a soft smile on her face as she quieted down before he continued talking.

Though, a dumbfound look found its way on her face as he mentioned about her going to Reim. Sure she would love to go! It sounded like a pretty cool place, and she would love to see everything that it had to offer. But, firstly, would she have the time with her everything going about? And she was sure that things would only grow more hectic. But the bigger problem was the transportation. Reim was overseas, and there was no way she was getting on a boat.

The dumbfounded look quickly disappeared, replaced by her usual smile as she gently took his hand and got to her own feet.

"Sure, I wouldn't mind going on a walk. Is there any particular place you wanna walk to, or just around town?"

Nicor was rather pleased with how the evening was going for the two of them. It was rather pleasant and he was enjoying her company to the fullest. She was the first woman from Kou he had met, but even so she was rather different than the girls from Reim. She could be like all the girls from Kou, or different from all them, either way Nicor was happy that he had decided to start talking to her and spending time with her. This most likely influenced his next action as he bent down somewhat as he held her hand giving it a soft kiss.

After this he stood tall holding her hand in his own before turning and walking towards the door, whether or not she would let him continue to hold her hand he would keep walking towards the exit with a smile upon his face. He was content, and this feeling was spreading through him with each small moment he spent with her. Coming to kou had definitely been a good idea, and he was going to enjoy his visit to the fullest.

"Well I don't really have a plan, when it comes to things like this it is best to travel along, and do things that catch your interest." He said wholeheartedly, the mischievous man believed that when you just tried to enjoy yourself and did things out of spontaneity that you would be able to live live in an adventurous and pleasurable way. This mixing with his decision that he wanted to show her a good time and the kind of life that he lived.

"Plus if we don't plan anything doesn't it make a date kind of feel like an adventure and each thing that comes towards us more exciting then if we were to plan what to do?" He questioned her as he chuckled his playful laugh and took each step forward with an inane confidence that radiated through his entire burly frame.

To say that Jingyi was just simply having fun would be an understatement to the zealous women. Nicor was an entertaining man to be around, and she enjoyed just watching him. He was certainly a fun person, though Jingyi didn't chalk it all up to him being foreign or "exotic". He seemed to be a person of his own, and despite the fact she never met another man from Reim, she hoped that he was unique even in his home country.

Even with all her positive thoughts of the man, it came as a total surprise to her when she felt him kiss her hand. She felt her face flush red and it wasn't due to the alcohol clogging her system. She glanced at Nicor's face before her gaze fell back down to the spot that he had pecked earlier. She felt a feeling that she didn't feel often; namely the feeling of your stomach getting tied up into knots as butterflies leisurely flew about.

Jingyi snapped out of her brief worriment of how red her face is when Nicor started to head to the door. The feeling of his hand around her's was slipping, something which she remedied quickly by curling her fingers around his. She easily caught up so she could walk beside Nicor, her hand loosely holding onto his.

"Sounds like a fun plan, if anything," Jingyi replied, her smile widening as she heard his lighthearted laugh. The redhead briefly glanced at Nicor, looking at the seemingly content smile on his face before looking back ahead.

There was a slight bounce to Jingyi's step as they neared the door, and if one couldn't clearly tell that she was happy then her smile certainly could clue one in. Using her free hand Jingyi shoved the door open for Nicor before taking a small step back.

"Hey, what's one thing that you want to happen the most while we're out on this date, Nicor?"

Nicor

Nicor smiled as he felt her hand grabbing his back, it gave him a light affirmation that she too saw this as a date with one another. He laced his fingers back, no doubt he enjoyed the feeling of her hand within his own. He could tell she was a warrior from the feeling of her hand within his own, but despite this it was nice and rather enjoyable her hand feeling comfortable in his. He held with a light grip, strong enough to give her a firm sense of comfort, but also light enough to tenderly rub his calloused fingers against her own. It was the little things that brought people the most joy usually, Nicor had learned this lesson from the small things he did with his mother, such as cards, or cooking.

As he heard her question Nicor began to have a few thoughts pass through his mind, considering what would count as something he wanted to happen, or was just thought to be a whim. As he strode his long legs in steps to make sure they would stay side by side, and close to one another he thought. Soon enough his lips curled joyfully and he began to speak. "Well it'd be nice to get some good food, maybe see a show, or something of the like, and sharing a kiss with you under the beautiful Kou stars." The words rolled off of his lips smoothly, as if it were water trickling down the nooks and crannies of a ravine after a long needed rain. This kind of atmosphere held the air for a moment.

"Though it might be hard to look at them when i have something more dazzling right next to me" He said turning his head to look down at her, to easily signify that the dazzling object that caught his eye, was indeed her.

As he said this they had already been walking through the street for a minute, passing though some of the more busier parts of the city, but mostly the places where people came to enjoy the company of others. Otherwise known as the places you took walks though in order to enjoy yourself. He was sure that they would find a thing or two to indulge in through here. Even if he had no plan for what to do, he had an idea of where to look. A sort of controlled chaos, a plan that fit the trickster and his charmingly honest romanticism.

As their fingers intertwined, Jingyi couldn't help but glance at Nicor. Even the simple thing of him holding her hand in such a way was able to make her smile contently. From how he held her hand neither too tight or too loose to how he rubbed her fingers as a small but tender gesture.

Her grip on his hand tightened slightly, though she was conscious of making sure that she wasn't squeezing his hand to a point that it felt uncomfortable. The thought of somehow messing up with this date made her smile die down a bit. Jingyi knew that sometimes that she could get a bit... too much, and she didn't want to scare away Nicor. But, the thoughts of him breaking off the date melted away when she spot his smile. It was a jubilant smile, and it reminded her of the mischievous smile that he wore earlier. Both were suiting to Nicor, and his current smile helped perk her up as her smile brightened up again.

While she wasn't clinging to each word he spoke, Jingyi happily paid attention to his answer. And it was due to this attention that she caught to the ending bit of his reply right after. In response, she felt her cheeks and the tips of her ears grow hot, and while Jingyi was tempted to look away, out of shyness or embarrassment, her feeling of either proudness or happiness wouldn't let her.

The thought of Nicor kissing her, well, she had to admit made her feel kind of giddy. But only if the rest of the date continued on its current path. She wouldn't mind it, and it would certainly make her day if they ended off with one.

The second comment about her being "more dazzling", cheesy as it was, made her face grow even redder. She couldn't help but look ahead of them as they walked, a nearby sign seemingly catching her attention. Though, if he was still looking, he would be able to spot that Jingyi still had that content but happy smile on her face.

Just they way Nicor says things like that, from his tone of voice to just the sound of his voice, to the look he gave her made butterflies jump around in her stomach. Again, Nicor managed to make her actually feel excited about a date. He knew what to say, how to say it, and just his general way of acting. She hoped that he was saying not to try to squeeze a couple dates out of her, since, truthfully she wanted the date with Nicor to go well. He seemed to be a nice guy, even if he seemed to be mischievous.

"Well, I'm sure we can find something entertaining around here, though I think there may be a theater around here if you wanted a theaterical show. But, there is a park around here, somewhere. There might be something fun to do there, too? I just suppose it depends on what we stumble upon," Jingyi replied with a slight chuckle, her smile widening slightly as the woman started to swing their hands slightly.

He smiled and watched her faces and her motions making sure to pay attention to each and every thing she did/ He didn't do this to be creepy or anything of the like, but instead to figure out what she liked and what was catching her attention around them. He thought maybe if he chose the first activity off of something that had caught her eye he would be able to give her a good impression of his choices. Therefore allowing him to be a bit more free with the next choice, since most things that look interesting to him might not look interesting to her.

After walking and holding her hand, enjoying the scenery around them he noticed that she had caught the attention of some sign nearby them. He looked at it as they walked closer while listening to the words that she was sharing with him. He nodded softly, and subtly moved their path towards the sign that she had noticed. He wanted to slowly gravitate them over there. Showing her that there was no rush for anything, and that they would just go at the pace that they would set for themselves. As they got closer he hummed softly, and tried to make out what it said.

"Is this the theater, or is it something else?" He asked stopping in front of the sign and swinging his hands with hers. He used the momentum of the swinging to move in closer. His side pressing against hers a bit as he let out a soft sigh and looked down at her with his joyous look.

"Regardless this place looks like it could be a bit of fun for us to check out!" He said with honestly, but also with the fact that he wanted to check out the place she had been eyeing. He assumed that she knew what this place was since she lived in Kou, but even if she didn't it would be an opportunity to make this event rather fun. He had all sorts of ideas in his head imagining all the ways the date could go. Hopefully it would have the kiss he mentioned.

It
wasn't until she was in front of the sign, Nicor moving so close that their sides touched, did Jingyi realized that he had changed their directions. Now, they were in front of a bold sign that told of entertainment fit for all through the use of talented. The establishment was a theater of average size, its design akin to many other Kou architect that made it unique from its neighbors. The building wasn't squeezed by its neighbors and some banners advertising some of the plays that were being shown fluttered in the wind.

"If you have no objections, then I wouldn't mind going inside?" Jingyi replied, her head cocking to the side as she looked up at Nicor. The smile that she wore was a mix between playful and hopeful, for the thought of watching some exciting show with him sounded so fun to the woman.

Her hand tightened around his as Jingyi leaned slightly on Nicor, seeing how they were so close at the moment. And while standing close to another was typically never bothering to the redhead, seeing how she so often had to practice marching in rank, it was different this time. Jingyi was sure that if she looked into a mirror she would see that her cheeks had taken on a red tint to them, though she didn't dare move away from Nicor. While the uncommon feeling of nervousness was prickling under her skin, Jingyi liked it. It was refreshing after spending so much time focused only on her career and not on the more emotional side of her life.

Her gaze had momentarily drifted to the purple noren that hung over the entrance, but Jingyi quickly looked back at Nicor. Truth be told, while it would make her certainly happy to watch some show, she wouldn't be all too bothered if he voted to do something else instead. While the town wasn't a large one, it was certainly big enough to find some sort of entertainment. And if it didn't hold enough for them, Jingyi was sure that they could just come up with some fun themselves.

Nicor had nodded softly as he heard her words, he was rather interested in the theater for the most part because he wanted to see what kind of shows did they preform in Kou. After a minute he tightened his hand with hers before smiling and beginning to walk into the theater. He was honestly a bit nervous despite it not being visible. He was slightly nervous about the fact the girl had just been going along with his whims, he wasn't sure whether or not if she was fully enjoying her choices, but he knew for sure that he wanted to show her a fun time.

Once they were inside of the theater Nicor lead her to a seat in the middle row, a seat that wasn't too high or too low. Allowing them to have semi-privacy if they wished while at the same time allowing them to see the show from a good position. He stretched for a minute before interlacing his fingers with hers once again. He got comfortable with her hand in his before turning to look into her eye. "I'm interested in seeing your people's culture, plus after we wait some time in here there will probably be different things going on, allowing us to check out even more!" Nicor said excitedly as he leaned into her a bit from their seats looking into her eyes.

This girl made him feel more adventurous than normal and he was rather enjoying her company. He was hoping that when the play was over he would be able to find a few events to capitalize on in order to give her a romantic night, After all he planned on giving her a pleasant first date, hopefully enough to get a second one to continue his courtship of her.

Giving his hand a slight squeeze after Nicor's grip tightened, Jingyi eagerly followed him into the theater. Despite the fact that she was going along with everything that he suggested, Jingyi didn't mind much. His suggestions weren't awful and seemed to have potential for an enjoyable time. Nicor seemed to actually have her in thought during this date, which was a certain plus.

Walking down the row, Jingyi glanced around the theater before plopping down comfortably into her seat. She stretched out her legs before crossing one ankle over the other, an elbow propped on the seat's armrest. Her hand, momentarily free as Nicor stretched, rested in her lap before her fingers were laced around his once more.

Turning her attention to Nicor as he talked, Jingyi couldn't help but smile pleasantly as she listened. She looked into his eyes for a moment before leaning back in her seat.

"I'm glad to see that you're so excited, Nicor," she replied with a slight chuckle, her smile widening. "Maybe you can explore some Kou cuisine after the play?" Jingyi added, one of her eyebrows pricking upwards as her head tilted sideways.

"If this continues to go so well, I wouldn't be surprised if we go on another couple dates. Nicor seems rather nice, so hopefully that doesn't change." The girl thought, her attention drifting to the theater stage as the lighting was dimmed as lamps were covered. Gentle music begun to play as the curtains were drawn back, signifying the beginning of the play.

He smiled and nodded as he heard her comment about trying the cuisine, his smirk perked up a bit as he wondered if this was her saying what she wanted to do, or was showing some romantic aggressiveness, either way he wasn't bothered and he was beginning to get a peckish from all the things he had done in the day without dining. He gave another firm nod as he started to hear music. "Sure' I'd love to get something to eat with you afterwards." He said as he began to quiet and turn his head to the stage.

Nicor had only been to a few plays his entire life, and from what he remembered about the ones he saw in reim were mostly tragedies , but he still was excited to see what kind of plays they showed in kou. Maybe the character he related too wasn't the bad guy, or some childish trickster who dies, but instead a happy story, with a wide variety of heroes and characters. Though he also thought that even if it was like the ones from Reim, he would love to see how they did their interpretations of it. It could be said that a variety of things were running through his head as he tightened his fingers with hers a bit and his smirk turning back into a rather joyful grin.

As the play would begin introducing the characters and the general theme, he was a bit confused on what the plot was, but was slowly getting it as it continued. Though as it went on he simply smiled and ran his finger over her hand lightly as he held them enjoying the kind of connection that happened from them being able to touch one another while delved into another world, of the play. Or maybe it was just a thought he had since he was a romantic human who liked to find the beauty in things as they are in the world.

"Ooh this is getting interesting." He said a bit as to talk as it was beginning to transition. He thought that the play was very unique from what he had known, but definitely loved it so far. He thought that date in general was going great, and this kind of thinking made him believe that he would definitely have to take her on more dates, she seemed like a great girl after all.

Jingyi
didn't have many opportunities to go out and watch plays when she was younger, though that is not to say that she hadn't seen four or five plays before. Of those plays that she had watched, like the one they were watching currently, were Kabuki. Even now she can fondly remember the heavy makeup, elaborate costumes, and the high amount of drama. To date, her favorite play must have been the Ghost Story of Yotsuya! Not only was it considered horror, it was chalk full of drama from its plot of betrayal, murder, and ghosts.

The curtains were drawn, revealing an arabesque setting of a battlefield with a shrine in the background. Actors dressed in bright samurai-Esq armor were on stage as the act officially started. Already it was revealed that an uprising was stopped and that the shrine was erected to commemorate the victory to a god of war.

Feeling Nicor's touch across her hand, Jingyi smiled faintly and quickly glanced at the man in question. He seemed to be rather enjoying himself if his grin was of any evidence. She brushed her thumb over his own thumb before squeezing his hand slightly. In the background, she could dimly hear the music drumming its tune and the voices of the actors as they recited their lines.

She then returned her attention to the play before she lost the gist of what was happening, yet she still held a steady grip on his hand. It was nice, being able to enjoy the world that the play was setting up while still enjoying her date with Nicor.

The first act closed upon a man's love letter being rejected by the women he loved, causing him to become bitter with hatred towards another character. As the second act began to open, Jingyi heard Nicor speak and then turned her attention towards him.

"Mhm, I wonder what's going to happen next," Jingyi whispered with a nod of her head, a smile growing on her face. So far, both the play and the date had been extremely enjoyable. Nicor continued to seem like a nice man throughout their date, and Jingyi was excited to see what would come out of their date. Preferably a second one, if she was to be honest with herself.

Nicor had a million thoughts running through his head as he had thought about the play, and its interesting plot, and unique style to it compared to the plays that he knew from Reim. Though there was also another million thoughts running through his head about Jingyi, she seemed to be a great girl and the fact he watched a mind blowing play with a beautiful girl at his side made him feel like that this night was already an incredible success even though he was planning on making the night last quite a bit longer than it was already going. He luckily was able to read a sign at the beginning of the second act, the sign telling him that this was apparently called a kabuki type play, he liked it and was sure that he would have to check out more of this, and their other types of plays while he would be here.

As the second act would continue his mind would start to get lost in the play, while his ears found the drum beat to be rather intriguing at it tugging at his feelings along with the scenes as they matched the town. Their art of musical accompaniment in their plays tingled both the artist, and tactician in his brain. It made him feel astounded while also giving him more ideas for battle, such as using tones and music to intimidate some of the enemies. Though he wasn't quite sure how to go about it at the moment, but he would figure it out eventually. Though despite his head being in another world, Jingyi kept him grounded with her touch keeping his heart and body in the moment, which was a surreal, but nice feeling that only heightened his time with her along with the play.

As the play went on and he occasionally looked over to Jingyi and gave her smiles they soon made it to the final act. "Wow this is simply amazing." He said pausing for a moment before lightly shifting his eyes over towards the stage. "Oh and the play is pretty good too." He said obviously flirting with her that she was the real amazing thing that was here. Nicor did want to flatter her, but all the things he had said were truth to him, and he enjoyed telling her the truth, especially if it lead to seeing her cute blush that he was already beginning to adore.

Eventually even the final act had passed, and when it was over Nicor would slowly clap both of his hands before taking Jingyi's and stood up, giving her assistance standing up if she wished for so. Once people started to shift out, or went into other rooms to chat before the next performance of another play would come on. As he watched people shuffling around he pulled Jingyi a bit close, his side pressing against hers as he looked down to her. "Let's go get some food, see what looks tasty." He said giving her a small wink since he assumed she would know better food places, or places to search for

ingyi's eyes came to a half-close as she leaned slightly on Nicor's arm, the tale of the story drawing her in. All the while she held a tight -but not too tight- grip on Nicor's hand. The music was vibrant, the costumes colorful, the setting popping. It was a beautiful example of a kabuki play, but the experience was made all the much better by Nicor. Glancing at him throughout the acts to see how he was faring, Jingyi was glad to see that he was seemingly enjoying himself.

It was towards the final act of the play did Nicor comment on the play, his words drawing her attention. Looking at him, Jingyi glanced at the stage along with him, only to pause at his second sentence. She gave his hand a brief squeeze as her smile grew soft. Hopefully, the dimness of the theater would hide the fact that her cheeks had turned a shade of pink in embarrassment. Did he enjoy making her blush? It would seem apparent to her, from all the compliments he freely handed out to her.

Finally, the curtains drew to a close as the play ended. The miniature orchestra played their final tunes as the theater was filled with light once more. Jingyi briefly let go of Nicor's hand to clap alongside the other spectators, grateful for the wonderful performance that would make the date all the more memorable. As she finished clapping, Nicor gently grabbed her hand, and Jingyi allowed him to help her up. Intertwining their fingers together, the redhead leaned into Nicor. Looking up at him, Jingyi winked back at him while she jubilantly answered.

"Oh, there are several places that offer tasty food. Just depends on what your taste is," Her words were marked by a slight chuckle towards the end. Pulling away from Nicor's side, Jingyi began to lead him out of the theater room. "I preferably enjoy something spicy. Seafood is pretty good too, I suppose," While she talked, there was a pleasant smile on her face, with a slight bounce to her step. "Hey, what kind of food does Reim have, Nicor?" Jingyi inquired, pausing to turn her attention away from the door to instead glance at the man in question. She never heard about what kind of food the country had, or even the type of beasts that lived there. They might not be too different from those in Kou, but it was a whole entirely different continent, after all. "While we're on that train of thought, what kind of beasts are in Reim?"
