Job Details:

Looking back on her eagerness to accept this job, Aoife was now regretting her decision to "liberate the townspeople from the injustices of man! No more shall unsuspecting people be victim to such tyranny and egregious violation of human rights!" She had a habit of getting far too excited to do tasks in the name of human rights, but at least she was motivated. Unfortunately, it seems the slavers and lackeys of the slavers were also motivated, as they donned weapons and various other accoutrements that made a blitzkrieg of an attack or her signature (tm) whirling madness head-on charge almost an assured death wish considering she had next to no experience in battle. Still, she was plucky, and perhaps she could outwit these (assumed) ingrates as Aoife was a woman of much superior intellect (and also beauty) than her enemies. Thinking back to one of her classes, very appropriately named "The Art of War," she remembered surprise is key in getting the drop on your opponents. Well, her signature  whirling madness head-on charge (tm) was definitely surprising but not nearly safe enough to warrant surviving the three other opponents she was up against. Perhaps scouting the landscape was her better option:

"Well, there's two guards out front...none out back...it's just two people? Oh that's easy-town I'm talking child's play, I could easily whip those limp-sword ruffians into next week...so where...where will I start my charge..." Aoife thought, scanning the would-be battlefield for the best plan of attack. It was evident to her that two "guards" probably meant there were more "others," yet she felt absolutely no fear in the unknown, and to her benefit, this does work out in this case. In most cases, however, it does not work out to her benefit. So, she moved to her designated position (i.e. three steps left) and went whole-hog down the mountain, even throwing in a few undulating battle cries hoping it would scare off the brawny guards. It didn't.

"Oh shi--uh...oh! Wither, snap, coil, and snare, my green thumb shall be your nightmare--Close Vine!" Aoife clumsily chanted, revealing from her staff a sizeable thorny vine-whip. With one "hyah!" and lash to the left, she grazed one of the guards clear across the face, causing him to fall to the ground and cry out in pain. Aoife was surprised, but harm to humans is necessary if it is for the benefit of lesser fortunate humans, in this case specifically! Leaving little time to dwell amidst her own thoughts, Aoife stood her ground, simply waving her staff over her robe.

"Hurt Couture!" She chanted, leaving a supple thorn on the hem of her robe as she put up her borg to defend against the oncoming guard's sword-swing. *Dink* went the sword, and *zip* went the thorn, colliding right into the unfortunate guard's pelvic region to make him, too, fall to the ground, wincing in pain. Huzzah! Aoife pumped her fist in the air before making her way down to the tent the guards were stationed outside of. It was quiet...too quiet. There must be slaves here too, yet no noise. Aoife tip-toed back and forth, not really understanding what she was doing anyways, until finally running full speed into the side of the tent, whacking her staff with dismal speed and strength into the cloth siding. A strained "ow" came from the tent, only to reveal the slaver himself pop out with his oily skin, his disgusting teeth, and also intimidating leather whip. Aoife began to whirl her staff around in her hands, digging it into the earth beneath and wiggling her staff side to side as she locked her eyes onto the ghastly villain.

"Okay...okay...it's just you and me, bud. Mano e wo...mano. Man against woman. Justice against the...opposite of justice. Beauty against the beast...I see you, you're very intimidating. Your teeth are so...they are so scary...but if you think I'll let you get the drop on me now whoa-hoh-hoh WAIT A MINUTE, alright? I'm the bee's knees here. I will make you rue the day you met the great and powerfu--TATER SHOTS!" And just like that, after actually talking the trader into submission, flung her staff from the ground and launched the magical potato right square into the slaver's face, knocking out his teeth and also him out. Aoife was victorious and she won all on her own without any help from anyone because she is talented.

Aoife gathered up the slaves in the tent, a respectable four of them, and escorted them back to Magnostadt, where she considered herself a hero and the job well done. She was, in effect,
A HERO.
