Name: Ammon Menefer
Country Affiliation: Heliohapt
Race:Human
Tier: D-Tier
Class: Beast Tamer
Age + Birthdate: 24, Born August 17th
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Bisexual
Personality:

Ammon is very quiet and withdrawn from the world. Mainly because he was raised in a very religious region. He never accepted the religion. However he would never voice so and preyed vigorously to keep up appearances. His mask started at an early age. Even when alone he keeps a somber personality. He finds it easier to hide his true self from others if he remains away from them. Especially those of his country of Heliohapt.

He is hard to scare and easy to anger. He never acts out however but it does not stop him from glaring when he disapproves. Often when he is happy he will blush and turn away. He also internalizes sadness and despair. When embarrassed he will walk away and try to pretend he is not.

Despite his cold acting behavior he is actually quite friendly. He does not judge others and loves animals. Too much really as he is rarely seen without one. The calm and sooth him especially when he has to talk to others. Due to this he is often seen as an outsider even though he truly wishes to be accepted. He would never go against his ideals however to try and earn this acceptance.

Likes:

Animals - He finds the texture of fur, feathers and scales soothing.

Night - He enjoys the stars. They are very clear out in the desert.

Reed Flutes - It was a hobby of his mothers and she always played beautiful music.

Dislikes:

Religion - It is very constricting and he can not bring himself to like or enjoy it.

Sugar - cocoa is fine however the taste of sugar is too sweet and tastes bad.

Killing - He would never kill another living being even if they tried to kill him.

Confrontation - He dislikes being confronted for something wrong he might have done on accident or in general if someone does him wrong.

Aspirations:

Ammon does not truly aspire to be anything. They have a ruler and priests. While he serves Anubis the god of the dead he does not wish to be a priest to him. If anything he supposes he'd wish to be free. For he knows he can not free his people from the bondage of the cast system and the very religion they believe in. He'd like to but even he knows that would cause just as much harm as good. He would never dare to start a rebellion he would much rather abandon his home skin intact.

Phobias/fears:

Gods - He does not believe in the gods. And yet he fears them because he fears being wrong. If they should smite him it would not be any surprise to him. Though he would fear the possible hell that came afterwards.

Spiders - They are lethal especially in the desert. It is easy to get ones blood flowing in the heat and if it flows to fast the poison works all the quicker. It is not something he ever desires to experience.

Face-Claim: Asato , Lamento (game)
Hair Color: Black
Eye Color: Blue
Height: 152.4cm ((5'4"))
Weight: 81.64kg ((180lbs))
Appearance:

Head: He has black shoulder length hair that is lightly feathered. It is often covered in dust or dirt as he bathes only once in awhile. He likes to keep part of his bangs in front of his face to try and hide himself a bit. Though he knows that doesn't actually work.

Body: He has an overall lithe frame and tan complexion. He has spent many years in servitude to the Temple of Anubis scrubbing floors and hulling water among other things. These chores have made his lithe frame rather solid. His body is often straight and proud though he may hunch over in a half bow regularly when he sees people of respect.

Clothes: He does not care for traditional garbs. He likes something plain and workable. A simple vest and loose pants is all he needs day to day. He does wear wrist braces especially when he has to carry large or heavy objects. He does sometimes carry a weapon but vary rarely.

His neck holds bite marks which he had turned into a serpent tattoo. He keeps it hidden since many think he survived from a deal with death. The tattooed band on his arm is one of binding signifying his servitude to the Temple of Anubis.

Rukh Alignment: White
Special Features: He has several scars from his many attempts at taming animals.
History:

August 17, 24 years Ago:

Ammon was born to a mother who is a launderer. His father a simple soldier to guard the priests and nobles. He was well loved by them both and would not leave him mothers back. She had to carry him as she worked in a basket. So he spent much time outside listening to the water and bugs that nature brought.

21 years Ago:

His best friend was a dog named Anki. It protected him while he played and toddled about. While he did play with the other children he preferred playing with Anki. The dogs loyalty and inability to say no pleasing to the young boy. He also loved his mothers music which she played on reed flutes she made when done with laundry.

18 years Ago:

At the age of six he had to show loyalty completely to their religion. He had to pray with his parents every day. As he had for the past year. He never understood it. As no gods answered and while he did see the occasional miracle he believe it could be more explained through thought and science. He voice himself to his mother one day questioning it. The next he was beaten by his father as a heathen. Force to sit and prey before each temple all day that day. It just deepened his opinion of religion. An opinion he knew to keep quiet.

12 years Ago:

To help keep his mask he decided to work in one of the Temples. For a long time he didn't know which one however. One day as he sat at the river side thinking with Anki. His only constant companion he could speak to even if he never spoke back. He finally decided he'd serve Sekhmet like his father and become a guard at her temple.

That night though plans changed. He had stayed out past sunset doing his chores and thinking. Anki followed along side when he began to growl. Ammon followed his dogs gaze to a wild dingo having come in to scavenge. It's body was thin and its ribs rippled its skin. Ammon crouched down and tried to make friendly. Anki was having none of it however and rushed the starving dingo. They fought and Anki fell much to Ammons despair. He ran over to shoo the dingo away as it started to eat his best friend. The dingo turned on him lunging at his throat....then darkness.

He remained asleep for many days drifting in and out. His reality feeling like a dream. Slowly but surely he healed and came to. His reality forever altered. He had died many times in that month he lay there. Many believed him cursed for not passing the gate. Or having made a deal with the gate keeper himself, Anubis.

11 years Ago:

Deciding to follow the qualms of the people he joined the temple of Anubis. As its servant he helped with rituals and the cleaning. He learned to mummify bodies and the rites of the dead. He became a mortician after several years in this servitude.

5 years Ago:

He yet again denied becoming a priest. He could not tell them the true reason why he denied them so. However suspicions were of course raised. However his constant praying and servitude negated any actions against him. He looked the part and acted the part. He kept a dog at his heel by the name of Enun. A fierce but loyal companion. And only his because he bought the abused dog and earned its trust.

1 year ago:

He as assigned priesthood. A thing he had continually denied when asked. He took the part well enough. He knew the motions from watching and sometimes assisting. However it soured in his stomach.

Now:

Such a title as priest was not meant for non-believers. If they knew now it would be more than being a simple traitor. It would be downright blasphemy. He seeks a way out. An excuse to leave his country and then disappear. He does not care to try an excuse his actions for there is no excuse. He was sure his parents would be punished as well. He had to leave and never return. Convince them he is dead and then start over elsewhere. Even as a servant...

Role-Play Sample:

Ammon looked up from the table. His gaze resting on the head priest. He listened to the string of words as he blessed the corpse. Claimed by illness and ready to be buried. A copper in it's mouth so it may have money in the after life. Bread in its hand so it may never know hunger.

It was a waste of good food. A corpse can not eat. Ammon closed his eyes watching for it to be over. He hated it all. He has served this temple for many years and he still hated it. Every day he felt as though he was missing something. While at the same time screwing something else up.

It was a stupid fear he knew. His eyes opened again to look at the mummy before him. Its bandages not nearly as white as the once reserved for nobles and priests. Even in death they are not equal. A sad story to be sure.
