RANK SYSTEM
A rank represents the general level of power and in character significance a character has or may obtain. They will determine how many abilities you can register, how strong those abilities can be, and even how much stamina and magoi you have. They give you a decent idea of what your character's "place in life" should generally be. It is possible to break out of those limitations and labels through in character achievements and actions but they must be earned.
Ranks are gained by accumulating experience points. Here are a few examples how you can obtain those points:

Depending on your affiliation, there are options for you to use for your rank up:
IMUCHAKK - In order for a character affiliated with Imuchakk to advance, they must first be fully recognized as a pinnacle warrior. The only way to do this is to hunt the rare species known as the "Queen Demolisher Unicorn". There are only several spread around the waters of the North, all of which are rumored to be of gargantuan sizes. These creatures are extremely powerful and hunting them down always comes at the risk of death.
However, if this does not fit with your character, you may propose a plot idea to a plot moderator.
HELIOHAPT - In order for someone from Heliohapt to advance, they would have to spend a week in the Desert of Forgotten Souls. From there they must find their way back to Heliohapt. They will be blinded and dropped off in the middle of nowhere with nothing but sand and dangerous creatures around them. There is the danger of starvation and dehydration as well. While the task may seem simple, there is more to the desert that meets the eye.
However, if this does not fit with your character, you may propose a plot idea to a plot moderator.
MAGNOSTADT - In order for someone from Magnostadt to advance, they must participate in the Battle Examination at the academy. In order to do this, the character must be apart of the 1st Kodor. The battle usually consists of two students which can be either other members or NPCs. You must be the winner in this battle by primarily using magic. However, no beasts or outside help may join this battle.
However, if this does not fit with your character, you may propose a plot idea to a plot moderator.
REIM - In order for someone from Reim to advance, they would have to participate in at least 5 Coliseum matches against NPCs and / or players. After this, they will be allowed to defeat the current champion of the Coliseum. They must win this battle primarily using their physical prowess as magic would be frowned upon in a test of strength.
However, if this does not fit with your character, you may propose a plot idea to a plot moderator.
KOU - In order for a Kou citizen to advance, they must first become a commander in the army. While they do not have to be related to the emperor, they must have gained his trust in some way and fought for him in battle at least once. If there is no battle to fight, they must impress the current emperor in a duel.
However, if this does not fit with your character, you may propose a plot idea to a plot moderator.
BALBADD - In order for a Balbadd citizen to advance, they would have to act as ambassadors of their country, meet, and gain the trust of at least two leaders of other countries. In order to attempt to arrange a meeting with a leader, you must be at least A tier but may gain the opportunity to do so through events or other plot opportunities.
However, if this does not fit with your character, you may propose a plot idea to a plot moderator.
WANDERER - In order for a unaffiliated wanderer to advance, they must contact a plot moderator to arrange an appropriate plot for your advancement. However, it must suit your character. It should contain the same threat of failure and / or danger as those under a specific affiliation must endure.
Alternatively, you may fight an Ω tier character in a player versus player match. However, you must win this fight in order to advance.
