Vault of Gerel RKGKLu6
Name: Basma of Gerel
Country Affiliation: Enkhtuya Nomadic Clan [Wanderer]
Race: Human
Tier: D
Specialization: Dexterity
Age + Birthdate: Seventeen| December 13th
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Heterosexual

Personality:
Basma is a very responsible young woman. She seems to be even tempered and thoughtful about most things that approach her way. When asked a question, the girl will rarely give a random or careless answer. She always speaks her mind with open honesty. However, this is clearly a double edged sword. Basma was raised in a very small clan, and as such, her social skills aren't the best. It isn't unusual for her to accidentally insult someone or be overly blunt about a topic. While she never does it with malice or intention, Basma can still come across as thoughtless or callous socially.

While constantly trying to be kind to those around her, Basma can be very stubborn and set in her ways. Once her mind is made up, the girl will rarely change it. While she'll rarely argue with someone, Basma will never concede her opinion just to stop an argument. Someone has to provide concrete evidence that she's wrong or doing the wrong thing to change her mind. Once this happens, Basma does become very embarrassed and overly humbled for a short time. Her over simplistic viewpoint of the world seems to make the girl wrong fairly often.

Basma has a tendency to be somewhat emotional in regards to her family and friends. She'd do anything to protect or help those precious to her. Her actions can sometimes be swayed or manipulated due to this. Furthermore, due to having been raised in a fairly contained and idyllic environment, Basma doesn't seem to understand the innate laws of the world. Her clan was like family to her, and so she's always been overly friendly and kind to people around her. As such, she can be naive, gullible and somewhat cowardly at times when faced with problems.

Likes: Basma is a simple girl. Her likes seem to be food and gazing at the stares. Her earliest and most fondest memories are star gazing with her mother. Meanwhile, food is just delicious, okay? There's so much of it in the world!
Dislikes: Basma seems to dislike large crowds. Having grown up in a small crowd, she is definitely not use to being around large groups of people. The one hundred or so individuals in a single market place is more people than she had ever met in her life before. Secondly, Basma seems to hate wasteful individuals. Her clan was very frugal in everything they did. So, when individuals act wasteful, the girl instantly gets a dislike for them.
Aspirations:
Basma's aspiration is fairly simple. She wants to find a cure or a doctor capable of treating the illness rampaging in her clan. To meet this goal, she has left the only life she ever knew. Basma has thrown herself into a chaotic world of which she knows nothing of. The only thing driving her is the survival of her clan. The girl would do anything to save them from the same fate as their sister clan. Currently, she's attempting to find a doctor of sorts to help, but other than that, she has no idea where to begin.
Phobias/fears:
Ever since witnessing a village decimated by a plague, Basma seems rather squeamish at the sight of boils and most signs of illness. Whenever others attempt to touch her, she automatically recoils without realizing it. Subconsciously, Basma has become afraid of dying of an illness so she avoids contact with others. Furthermore, Basma also cannot swim due to having been raised in the plains. So, she has a certain fear and hesitance when going on boats or across bridges. A third fear is losing her earrings. The large silver earrings with ruby adornments worn by the girl were originally her mother's.

Face-Claim: Halgal Amir from Otoyomegatari
Hair Color: Black
Eye Color: Brown
Height: 125.27cm [4'10”ft]
Weight: 39.46kg [87lbs]
Appearance:
Spoiler:
Basma is a young teen girl who stands at a fairly short stature. She has long black hair that reaches to around her waist. This long black hair is often braided into one large braid. At times, she may make more than one braid, but she will rarely do this. Her eyes are large and a light brown in color. The girl's face seems to be very small and round like a doll's. Basma is a very slender young woman whose slim body and generous bust is usually hidden in layered and conservative clothing from her clan. Even her head is adorned by a flowing hat. Basma seems to have an affinity for jewelry as she not only wears large silver earrings but two ornate necklaces. Her hat has silver pendants strung along it, and her braid has an intricate silver charm with ruby beads along the end of it.

Rukh Alignment: White
Special Traits: --

History:
Basma hails from the nomadic Enkhtuya clan that has traveled through the plains for hundreds of years. The Enkhtuya people were once fearsome warriors as recently as a century ago. The clan had numbered over a thousand people at their peak three or so centuries ago, most of whom were warriors. The warmongers seemed to rise to prominence more than three centuries ago when a certain individual of great power and intelligence was born within their ranks. What happened to said individual has been lost to the sands of time. However, the this person's presence allowed for the clan to briefly unite the plains clans and wage war on various nations. This lasted for roughly one hundred years. During this time, the Enkhtuya were feared for their skill in archery and horseback riding. Afterwords, the clan steadily declined until it became a small modest clan of less than a hundred individuals. The reasons behind the clan's decline don't seem widely known, even to the clansmen themselves. Most seem to point at a betrayal in the royal family and the splintering of the once large clan over two centuries ago as the reason.

Whatever the reason, today the clan is a small nomadic group of hunters and gatherers that seems to be getting smaller every year. Their skill in archery seems to have remained as rumors of the clan's inability to miss a mark still circulate throughout the plains and the neighboring countries. The horses they once rode so valiantly into battle are still bred by the clan, but they are still somewhat rare as the clan does not breed many of them. Still, the horses are said to be studier than average horses and more suited for horseback archery. For the most part, the Enkhtuya clan rarely interacts with the outside world nowadays. However, the true legend surrounding the clan is their method of interrogation. Ever since the clan's ancient warmongering days, they have always valued honesty and law. The clan is said to have developed a method of telling the truth from a lie without fail. This reputation has lead to them sometimes being sought out by other clans to act as mediators for conflicts.

Basma is the only daughter of the Enkhtuya's current village chief. She has two brothers, one much older and one much younger than her. Her elder brother leads clans hunts while her younger brother studies with the clan's medics. Meanwhile, Basma has fallen into the role usually held by the wife of the clan's chief as her mother passed away during the birth of her younger brother. Basma grew up helping around the camp. She helped the other women cook, mend clothes, tents and also care for the clan's children. However, despite her more domestic chores, Basma still found herself tagging along on hunts with her brother. After all, she was the second heir to the Enkhtuya clan. Should something happen to her brother or father, she would have to step up and assist the leader until her younger brother was of proper age.

So, during the day Basma typically found herself helping her brother and the other clan men hunt and at night, she helped prepare dinner and watch children as the men went to patrol around the outskirts of the camp. Over all, it was a fairly idyllic life. Basma grew to become extremely skilled with a bow, but she only ever used it to hunt. Meanwhile, every few months, the clan would pick up and move their camp. Her life carried on peacefully for over sixteen years like this. Of course, all good things must come to an end.

The Enkhtuya had a sister clan. They not only shared their name but their origin as well. Both clans had splintered off the original Enkhtuya clan over a century ago. They would meet every other year or so and share their camp. The two clans had remained fairly close over the several generations, and it was common for them to marry daughters into the others clan. Basma was no exception. She had been betrothed to the other clan chief's son. On her sixteenth year, she was to stay with their sister clan and be his wife. Basma had always carried a bitter dislike at the idea of leaving her home. In fact, during the year before, when the clans met, she heavily protested and embarrassed her father. Still, the agreement for her to be married remained, and Basma sourly bowed her head to her faith.

Whether it was fortune or disaster that diverted Basma from the faith of becoming a wife to her sister clan's heir is unknown. The two clans were to meet in a valley. They had met in this valley for countless generations. However, as Basma and her clan waited, the other clan never appeared after several weeks. Worried, her brother gathered up part of the clan's guard to go search in the direction the other clan always came from. Basma volunteered to go with them to search for her fiance. While she had never been kind to the idea of marriage, concern for her fiance and his clan still swelled within her.

It took the search party two weeks to finally find their sister clan's camp. What they found was a camp of corpses. At first, Basma's brother thought they had been attacked, but soon it became clear that they had all died of illness. The bodies scattered around the camp had lesions, boils and other ghastly sighs of plague. In the center of the camp was a large fire pit where they had been trying to burn the bodies of the dead. Basma's brother immediately ordered the search party to leave the area to avoid infection.

Unfortunately, signs of the illness began to appear in their own camp not much long after. First, one of the guards fell ill- then his child and wife. The medics did their best to try and calm the village, but no one was sure what to do or make of the situation. Basma, out of a sense of responsibility, volunteered to go seek out a doctor or cure for the illness. With that, she left her clan behind with a small bag of provisions, a horse and her bow.

Role-Play Sample:
Was this really a town? This had to be a large city right? No way this many people could be gathered together and not be one of those large cities she had heard about. There were way more than three times the amount of her clan in this city! Basma gulped as she held onto the straps of her horse's bridle. She had never seen this many people in her life. It was beyond intimidating. A traveler she had asked directions from said this was a small town with a road leading to a bigger city in it. Did she miss the small town and find the bigger city by mistake? No... That didn't make the sense. The city was suppose to be a longer journey- more than one day for certain. Basma just had to come to terms with the fact that she was just out of touch with the rest of the world. This wasn't going to be easy.

Taking in a deep breath, Basma kicked the saddle straps of her horse gently to move the beast onwards as she went through the village. She should pick up supplies while she was here, right?
