Personality: Jin is an cheerful, lively and extremely carefree person that deals with everything with a smile on the face - or, at least, this is the side of him that he shows to everybody else. He is a skilled swordsman, and takes pride on this: very often, he shows off his skills, the only heritage that his father has left for him. Very talkative and always in a good mood, he makes friends easily, and values them greatly - to the point of risking himself to help them, when needed. His motto is "Never take anything seriously!", but, sometimes, Jin himself becomes very serious, even though those situations are quite specific, and do not happen very often.
Thanks to his father's teachings, he also values family greatly - and although he has none left, he tends to consider friends his own family. He loves parties and festivities, so he's always travelling to find new places where he can enjoy this kind of thing with his friends. Other than all this, Jin's also very respectful and diligent, as well as disciplined and well-versed in fighting bare handed, although he does prefer to use swords - like katanas or wakizashis. He's always searching for new adventures and meeting new people, so that he can experience all that the world has to offer.
Likes:
- Sake - Although Jin is used to drink many type of alcoholics, sake is definitely his favorite, and he always drinks some when given the chance.
- Partners - Travelling is good, but travelling with friends is even better. Jin holds dear each and every single one of his friends, and can put his life on the line to protect them.
- Fighting - Jin enjoys fighting, mostly because he can have fun when doing it - specially against foes with a good mood. And he loves to have fun.
- Parties - Enjoying a good party is always good, as well, especially for someone like Jin, that never loses a chance to have some fun.
- Eating - Eating is also a very good thing to do to have fun with friends and companions. Also, eating something tasty enjoys anyone.
- Nature - Nature, overall, is very enjoyable to the swordsman. It is not rare to see him gazing the trees, animals, lakes or even the sky. Apparently, this makes him feel "at peace".
Dislikes:
- Gloom - As a very lively person, gloomy situations are awkward for Jin. Having to deal with this kind of thing usually puts him into a bad mood.
- Acting Serious - Being carefree and talkative is what Jin really loves to do, and although he gets really serious when the situation demands, he dislikes to do so.
- Seeing a Friend get Hurt - As Jin values his friends over many things, seeing one of them getting hurt because of an enemy, for example, can be a very good reason for him to get serious.
- Wasabi - Wasabi's spiciness is something that the swordsman really doesn't enjoy, so he prefers to avoid eating it.
Aspirations: If there is something that Jin aims for, it is to become stronger, get famous all over the world and to acquire many riches. With this, founding a country might not be only a dream anymore. To achieve this, though, he intends to travel from place to place, strengthening himself as he does so, and meeting new friends - friends that can become, who knows, powerful allies. After all this, then, he plans to clear a dungeon, from where he'll get the riches and powerful items - the Djinns - he wishes so much. Once he reaches that point, will he be able to found his own country? Or will a new objective appear in the middle of his journey? Only the time will tell, then...
Phobias/fears: Jin doesn't really fears many things. He was trained since a child, so he is both mentally and physically strong. The swordsman does not fear the death and the dark, nor does he tremble when facing an unthinkable danger. He learned from his father how to dominate his fears, in such a way that almost nothing is able to make him feel the so-called "fear", but one thing. The death of those dear to him. Just thinking about such a thing is able to worry Jin, so much that he cares for his friends, and because of this, he's able to do anything in order to avoid such a thing. If it comes to happen, then, the swordsman becomes very angry - in the case of a murder or something alike - or falls into sorrow, crying.

History: Yao Fu was a wanted-criminal in the Kou Empire because, after many years fighting as a soldier, he took his wife and ran away from the country, in order to finally be able to live a peaceful life. Of course, running away had its risks, but Fu chose to put everything to lose for a chance to live happily with his family. It did not take too much time for the couple to have a child, which was named Yao Jin, and for many years, they travelled from place to place, avoiding Kou's soldiers as much as possible. When Jin was three, the Yao family settled down somewhere between Balbadd and Magnostadt, in a small village. The boy grew learning many things about being a warrior, but even more about "being a man". From his father, he inherited the principles of protecting friends and family, being respectful and diligent.
Sadly, that fake peace wouldn't last too long. Some years after they settled down, the village was attacked by the Kou Empire's guards, and many innocent people were murdered by the vicious invasion. Fu knew who they were after, and told his family to run away to another place, picking up his sword and running into the fight. He was strong, and alongside other villagers, he was able to hold the guards there while the survivors fled. Jin was eleven when that happened, and was already able to tell that his father wasn't coming back anymore. Using this as a reason to move forward, he kept training, following the teachings that Yao Fu left for him inside a notebook - a notebook in which all the secrets of the Yao fighting style were written. Many years passed, once again, and the young boy had become a skilled swordsman, just like his father.
When he was twenty, Jin decided that it was time for him to travel through the world and to find all the answers that he seeked. He saw many places, met many people, made many friends. And now, one year after, Yao Jin was back to Balbadd, in order to start a new adventure to seek power, fame and riches - this one, bigger than any other he had ever done.
Role-Play Sample: It was a cloudy day when Jin arrived at Balbadd, what was quite uncommon. He had no idea of what time it was, nor when it was the last time he slept, but the swordsman was more than glad to get in a place he knew well. Walking from street to street, the young man greeted some merchants that were beside a big hotel, which he met somewhere before. - What is it that you're doing 'round here, youngster? Haven't we met in the desert before? - the older of the two merchants said, a smile on the face. Jin was happy that the man remembered him. - Oh, yes, yes. I believe it was, like, a week ago? I was searching for some bandits that stole my things, hahaha... - he answered, with a silly smile in the face. Then, his belly rumbled. The old man could only laugh. - Bwahahahahaha! You're this hungry, eh, boy!? Come in, come in. I'll give you some of the leftovers. - he offered, and Jin thanked him gratefully. At least, that night, he would not sleep hungry...
