A Minor Mistake [Ivris and Xavier]

Strolling along through the street, her magic carpet kept her aloft as Ivris flew through the city, heading into the market for a quick snack. Settling down onto the ground, she put her magic carpet on the ground and left it behind a bunch of empty jars, like she always did, before heading off into the marketplace. Perhaps some persimmons, or some exotic fruit from another land? Whatever it was, Ivris was hungry, so it didn't really matter what she ate as long as she got something to eat. Heading out into the marketplace, she left her carpet there, not realizing that there had been prying eyes that'd seen her leave the precious object behind.

Heliohapt was a beautiful town from what Xavier had seen so far. He had planned to spend two weeks there to take in the sights and relax from his time studying in Magnostadt. However, it seems that some of the wealthier citizens of Heliohapt, obvious based on the woman's jewelry and clothing, didn't really mind if their things got stolen. It just so happened he'd seen her land her carpet, something which Xavier had become used to back in Magnostadt but always aware of due to too many... close calls. In any case, it was a simple solution; the woman could always find another carpet, so without a glimpse of remorse Xavier headed over to the jars, picked up the carpet, and went away with it into the night.
