Chimera had finally arrived in Heliohapt after several days of travelling with her slavery troope. The work was to her taste, but her lack of control left a rather sour taste in her mouth. She wanted to lead and make the profits and control all of the slaves, especially the despicable fanalis. Her mouth became distorted into a twisted smile as she began to think of her revenge, but she couldn't afford anything... She knew she would have to work outside of the slave trade, even if temporarily to make some income. Her destination of Heliohapt would prove useful in slave commerce.

The brunette eventually mustered all of inner peace and started roaming through the streets of Heliohapt. The people were very tan and it was interesting in it's own way. She stood out very much with her pale skin in contrast, and her brightly colored eyes. She noticed slaves traveling the roads, some in chains, and others were afforded a bit more freedom.

As she kept travelling through the roads, she had passed by a towncrier, a student of sorts. He had stopped people and seemed to be soliciting them for work. ' Well, maybe this will help us both out'. She paused in front of the student, giving him a glance, hoping for work

The student had glasses, and was dressed with more than rags, but definitely not in the lavishness of royalty. Scrawny and one glance at him was more than she needed to be able to tell that he had no done physical labor in his whole life. She grabbed him by his shawl and pulled him close, dragging him a few inches away from her face. "What do you need done?" Chimera's face... was a freaky one, her mouth grew wider, but she hadn't dared to show the teeth behind her lips. The scholar stammered for a second, finally clearing his throat as Chimera gave him some breathing room, thinking just pathetic he was. 'Come on, I'm not even trying to be threatening.'

"Thank you so much for asking!" He seemed to be a lot happier as he began to understand she was there for work, and not to harass and bully him. "I'm just used to foreigners..." He trailed off and pulled a small leather and papyrus sheet journal binded beautifully. It must have been his own journal, since it was clearly handcrafted. "Anyways, this is work for the university of Heliohapt. We're looking for anyone with time to spend some of it traveling outside of the walls and getting us information on the flora and faun- plants and animals." He also supplied Chimera with a bottle of ink and some sort of quill.

Chimera bowed to her employer with a curt bow, accepting the materials, holding them at arms length as if they were toxic to her health, making the university alum practically headpalming with regret instantly. The animals were a bit much for her to handle because of her traumatic experiences. However, she did find some peace in drawing the flora, and her hand wasn't steady, and not having color made the whole process much more difficult, but as she took a few tries for each flower, her artistry improved as she went through the pages, and the increased attempts, left more room for her notes. Such as the type of scents the flowers produced, the roots, the typical environment, how they grouped up, and several small observations that some people might tend to ignore. As the sun began to set, she forgot it was a job in the first place.

Chimera took her time getting back, unfortunately the student had already left. Chimera took her time figuring her way through Heliohapt still being new to the area. As she approached the university, with empty ink bottle and journal in hand, an educator stopped her. The teacher easily discerned the reason for her late night visit. The woman took the journal and pen, leading chimera to another room where she fetched her the reward, about 3000 huang in a pouch. Chimera had enjoyed the day, doing something... normal for once. Like when she was first purchased as a slave, before everything happen. It was hard to lose her paintings... her effort, but the money was worth it. She bowed with bit more grace than she had earlier in the day, leaving with her earnings satisfied.
