Hunting Ghost? [Job | w/Ani]

Job:

It was midnight in Remano and the wind strongly blew to the tree, making a rustling sound. The owl stood on the branch, tilting its head while making its signature sound echoed eerily. “Do you know about the Cave of Endless Scream…?” The woman laughed darkly before continuing, “Some people said they could hear creepy voices… and some people who were brave enough to enter the cave never come back…” The girl looked serious and listened more to the woman’s story, “You what is it right…. You know what is inside that cave riiight…? It is…. It is…” The woman paused a little bit before suddenly continue with a loud tone and made the gap between her and the girl’s face closer, “IT’S GHOOSSTTTTT!” She even used candle under her face so it would made her face become scary. “….” The black haired girl just looked at the woman with silence and no reaction. “Geez Noir… at least you should be surprised…” The woman sighed and scratched the back of her head before lifting her hand to ruffles the magician’s hair gently. “Okay…” Noir nodded while still petting Haku who was lying down on the wooden floor, “Kyaaahhh…” She said in the flattest tone she had and made the woman grunt in defeat by touching her forehead with one hand. The white liger let out a small growl and giving a worried look to Shira, even he knew how innocent his master could be and he sighed before licking his paw. “I’m curious… I will go to the cave now…” Noir said while standing up and prepped herself, checking her wand in the cover and hanged it on her waist. She didn’t stop even when the woman stopped her from going and gave up because she knew the girl would be very stubborn once she was curious about something. In the other side, Haku just rubbed his body to Noir, wishing her to get back safely and  growls softly when the girl petted him before finally going to the cave.

The black haired girl stared at the cave when she was arrived, wondering about the rumor that her guardian told to her. I’m curious…

Ani had been in Reim for a small time period now, but she realized that she had started getting bored in the country which was the exact opposite of why she came to Reim. So she had been exploring around a city for awhile hoping to find something that could possible capture her interest, and lead her to do something exciting. After walking around for a while she heard the voices of people talking about something that caused her stop in her tracks, and listen in to what they were saying."I'm telling you man I saw ghosts in those caves." Said a man in a shrill voice. Ani looked over to the people seeing a couple of teenagers, and the man with a shrill voice who looked peculiar to Ani. He was scrawny, and was short for a male human with long curly black hair, and what looked like a club fastened to his side. After the teens left Ani approached him. "Hey you what's that you were saying about ghosts?" She asked while tilting her head to the side a small bit.  The man jumped back surprised to the Imuchakk, but then soon cleared his throat to speak to her. "Well I was exploring, and when I came across this cave I saw what looked like ghosts luckily they didn't spot me." He said laughing nervously. "Where is this cave?" She asked with a soft smile. The man turned, and pointed to the distance. "Just walk that way, and you'll find it." He said letting out a weak laugh. Ani smiled, and walked away from the man ready to find this fun sounding cave.

After walking what seemed to be half an hour to Ani she finally made it to the so called cave she heard the male tell her about. She pat Hoyo who had been off hunting while she talked to the man, but caught up with her as she left to come to this cave. After examining the surroundings for a bit she saw what looked like a familiar black-haired girl. Being carefree Ani trotted over to her with Hoyo soon following after her. "Yo Noir is that you?" She asked circling to her front. "Oh did you come to explore this cave also?" She asked excitedly.

Noir was just going to enter the cave when she heard a familiar voice calling her from behind, she slowly turned her body and saw the Imuchakk lady she met at the city of magic. She noticed her pet trailer behind her and a little blush rose on her cheeks, Hoyo is cute…. But then she gazed at Ani, answering her question, “Yes… You also want to explore this cave…?” Noir raised her eyebrow, she was curious. Then she would nod at the blue haired woman before entering the cave, signaling her to come and follow. There was truly a creepy sound inside the cave but Noir assumed that it was just the sound that the winds made and nothing that she should be afraid of. She looked down for a second, knowing what she truly fear was and knowing how it felt like to experience her true fear. So something like this was not even made her having Goosebumps beca--- Her body tensed up as she felt something small, stepping on her foot. She knew the sensation, she recognized it and at that very moment she stepped back while gasping. But it was not something that she scared the most, it was not a rat. It was just a baby squirrel passing by and after noticing that, Noir sighed in relief and regretted her choice to not bring her Liger with her to keep her safe from rats… if there was really any.

Noir would turn her back to see if the Imuchakk lady was still following her or not, trying to prevent anything bad happen to the lady since Noir still didn’t know for sure how strong the woman was. She was not underestimating the blue haired woman’s strength though, it was all just a precaution and she wouldn’t want to see anyone died again in front of her eyes because of her helplessness. “Miss Ani, how’s your condition?” She asked, wondering if she was tired because the cave was not even has any end and nothing has showed up yet.

This is odd…. She thought the herself, she couldn’t sense anything inside the cave, nor even see any small animals inside. She kept walking, wondering what this long, small path would bring her to. The moment she stepped again, she heard a sound. It was a strange one if she could say anything; it was like a sound that was not belonged to this world. The sound was getting closer; it was like approaching to where Noir and Ani were. She took her wand, gulping down hard and focused herself to what would come, she was ready to attack until she saw what appeared. Ships’ crew…? But… they looked like an undead…No way… She exhaled and inhaled the air slowly, trying to grasp the reality appearing in front of her.

Ani looked at Noir while nodding a small bit as she had come here to explore it after hearing the story from the man a little while back. "Yeah I heard about this place from some guy who was talking about it with some teens." She said while petting Hoyo softly while smiling. "Well if there is any monsters in here I'm sure the two of us can handle it pretty well." She said with a soft smile while nudging for Hoyo to follow them as they walked in the cave together. She saw Noir tense up a bit, but she decided to say nothing as the little squirrel ran by. Hoyo almost leaped after the squirrel, but she stopped him as she didn't want the little squirrel to get hurt. Humming softly she walked with a small skip in her step since she was a bit happy about running into Noir again since she found the silent girl pretty interesting. Ani honestly thought that there must be something in this cave so out of caution she motioned to Hoyo to stay on his guard, and to immediately signal that there was an enemy.

After walking for awhile she thought that everything had started to look the same so she looked back at Hoyo with a smile. "Mark where we walk boy so we can get out incase we get lost." She said smiling while continuing to walk while she watched her beast scratch the ground making marks in it like she had asked. She looked around wondering how long they had been walking in this cave since it seemed like it had been a long time to Ani. She then heard Riku's question, and she smiled looking at her. "Don't worry about me I'm always in top condition." She said laughing lightly while continuing to walk hoping they'd find something real soon.

Ani had been pretty relaxed as they walked not finding any problems with the caves yet it was to peaceful, and that was what worried her the most especially after she saw the scared look on that man's face. After walking for a little bit more she heard the noise, and stopped when she saw Noir stop herself. She waited until the creatures were in sight, and then she motioned to Hoyo to ready to attack when commanded. "I'm not sure what those are, but you lead the attack." She said trusting the magician.

The yellow magician nodded at Ani, she need to strike first, she knew it. But her body couldn’t move like there was invisible hands holding her there, it was not fear; she knew it was her own curiosity that hold her body like that. She was eager to see how many of the undead that would appear in front of them and what did they capable to do, she waited and waited for them until one of the undead soldier send her a basic attack by using a sword , swinging it to her and was blocked by her borg, leaving her unscratched and only made their gap wider because of the pressure of the clash. Noir hold her feet harder on the ground to stop her for backing off any further, stepping up a little bit so there would be around 20 meters and with a swift motion after making sure that Ani was in the safe gap from her spell, she lifted her wand and whispered to the rukh, “Onda D’urto…” A wave of static energy appeared and began to wipe the undead out, electrocute all of them and knocking them out. Noir approached one of the undead and examined them, wondering if there would be more to come out. Their body are rotten…. Noir thought when she examined the body while holding her breath a little because of the smell from  the rotten body. But now she knew that the rumor was true and the undead was the one who made the creepy voices, lured some brave men in who knew nothing and attacked them.

Noir looked to the female Imuchakk, wondering if she would want to see the body as well, “Ani… You want to—“ before she could finished her words, she could hear a sound of bow being released and she quickly jumped back, making the bow missed to pierce her. She quickly ran to Ani’s side and looked around, keeping her guard up. Once she found a movement, she didn’t hesitate at all to command the rukh and attacked. “Fulmine Coccio…” In an instant, two small shards of electricity appeared and went to where she saw a movement. She could saw an undead who was wielding a bow fallen to the ground and looked around again, she was not sure that she managed to knocking down all the undead right now and keeping her guard up for any incoming bow.

Ability:

She was watching Noir as she moved around, and watched the undead. While looking at her she wondered why she hadn't attacked yet, but then she just figured that she must be waiting for all of them to come out so she could attack them. She stood there with Hoyo ready to attack at any moment that she would be needed. As she watched Ani stood there her blue hair swayed in the light breeze which only added to it's beauty as it shone lightly in the cave from the holes in which moonlight shone through. As she watched Noir attacking she was a bit disappointed that she had taken them all out before she could do anything to try, and help her out. She watched her examining the bodies, and she was about to come over so she could check them out herself until she heard the bow being drawn, and released. Ani had planned to attack, but before she could do anything she saw that Noir had handled it herself. After she saw that was taken care of she took a step forward, and looked at Noir with a small smirk on her face. "Good job you handled those creatures pretty well." She said with a laugh as she bent down, and looked at the bodies while Hoyo sniffed them so he could identify when they where close. After she looked at them for a moment she turned around, and looked at  Noir while smiling still. "Well these creatures do seem tough, but I am pretty sure that a beautiful lady such as yourself can take out these creatures easily." She said with a smile as she was still being carefree at the moment even though they were still not safe. To be honest she was very excited at the moment, and was aching to fight something, but she knew that she couldn't act rashly for she could get herself, Noir, and her precious Hoyo damaged.

"Alright I'll take the lead for this next area." She said giving Noir a soft pat on the shoulder before walking forward while Hoyo sniffed around incase anyone would try, and attack them as they walked. After walking for a few moments she wondered where the rest of the enemies where at the moment. "Hey Noir we should be careful there could be a lot more deadlier things then those soldiers, and archers." She said while looking around more. She stopped for a moment, and so did Hoyo. "Do you smell that boy?" She asked since after she walked passed this area she could smell rotting flesh, and it was fresh. She suddenly heard an arrow being knocked back, and fired in her direction. Before she could turn to see the Arrow Hoyo pushed her down causing it to graze her lightly. "Hoyo Roll over!" She commanded, and soon Hoyo rolled himself into the archer crushing him. "Geez those things are annoying." She said looking over at Noir, but while she looked away she heard the same archer knocking back an arrow. "Hoyo Body slam!" She commanded, and he soon slammed himself into the archer to destroy it, but not before he released an arrow in Noir's direction

Abilities used:

She watched as the blue haired woman commanded her pet to attack the undead and all she felt was amazement. Noir knew she should try to bond with Haku more to be able to perform such beautiful attack, but she had no time to be drowned into her own thoughts as one of the undead released his arrow in her direction. “Lightning shard…” She calmly commanded the rukh after lifting her wand up, making a small shard of electricity appear and burnt the arrow. Keeping her guard up right now was the best and only option she had, she couldn’t maneuvered herself to do something reckless that was based on her own curiosity. Just when she wanted to destroy the undead archer, Hoyo used its ability after being commanded by Ani and knocked out the undead. If Hoyo could sense it, another archer would appear in their direction after they stepped forward, entering the cave deeper inside. Without thinking of anything else but to quickly destroy the rotten living body, the magician moved until she was 20 meters away and cast her Fulmine Palla when the undead release his arrow that emitting a green glow to the black haired girl. She destroyed the arrow with two electricity ball and controlled the other two balls to the undead archer, destroying him after he took a direct hit.

After that, their way would be more peaceful as no enemy showed up on their way to explore the cave deeper. The black haired girl was a little bit disappointed because inside the cave was not like she expected at all, there was nothing inside. It was just a cave filled with undead, yes it stirred her curiosity of how the undead could exist, but even she knew that it was the work of magic and if she thought how they were created, she would be having this bad feeling about it. Thoughts started to invade her mind, worrying about her decision to explore the case was right… or was it wrong? She continued her step while reminding herself about the Shrouded Isle, she was barely survived from there… if only Ariella didn’t take the hit to herself… She bit her bottom lip and made a fist with her right hand, forcing herself to not think about that again. It was not the point she wanted to remember right now, it was the creative use of a certain type of magic and the undead might be created by using the same formula of magic. I need to protect them at all cost…cannot let anyone else to die anymore… Noir gave a quick glance at Ani and Hoyo before made a turn into the left path only to discover several piles of dead bodies. Her yellow orbs widened but she didn’t dare to make a move, she needed to observe the surrounding first. There was no visible guard here, but this place looked important. As several minutes passed by, Noir encouraged herself to take several steps forward, she could see several men was working on the dead bodies. Living one…? And they were doing some sort of magic…? She could notice the rukh fluttering around the place and she felt strange, it was like giving off a bad vibe and they were muttering a very strange things. She could heard they were saying some things like ‘The Alchemists’ or a complex formula for magic that they might be doing right now. Noir gulped down hard, she didn’t know for sure but it seemed that she have heard something that she was not supposed to hear. When she wanted to stepped back and took Ani with her pet to exit the cave immediately, one of the men shouted, “And we can use those pretty rats for our next undead! Go Captain, they are your prey! Handle them while we are out for today….” And they left with laughs.

….great… Noir sighed and lifted her wand to the undead who wore a ship captain like outfit, his face was unrecognizable and he was holding a sword. She would look at the undead but will be saying this to Ani, “I will attack first…. Get Hoyo ready and when I give you signal… finish him….” Her tone was flat, same with her expression, but it was full of determination. She couldn’t afford to lose her, so she dashed towards the captain but suddenly he used his Roar of The Death and made the golden eyed girl forced back for five meters away. She used the chance while being forced back to command the rukh, “Parafulmine…” As soon as she cast, a red colored lightning strike descended downwards the captain, giving him damage. She  stepped back until she was 30 meters away and said to Ani, “Attack him…”

Abilities Used:

After Ani had taken down the archer her, and Hoyo soon sensed the other archer. She turned planning to take care of it with Hoyo, but before she could anything she saw Noir take out the arrow, and then the archer. Smiling she walked next to Noir, and gave her a soft nod finding what she did was pretty cool. She was happy that the person she was with was interesting, and strong. Once they were done with this area of the cave Ani had begun to notice this cave was too empty, and thought that was very fishy for a cave.

As she walked with Noir she examined the cave at least happy to see that they weren't walking in circles after all that would've made this a massive pain. Since for awhile the cave was empty Ani had some time to think to herself. Noir was the only friend Ani had really made since she began her journey. She had met that other magician, but she hadn't hit off to much with him. This made her think that after they got out of this cave she'd like to hang out with her more, and hopefully become a good friend of hers. Amidst thought she stopped along with Noir, and Hoyo. As she stood there Ani breathed lightly her nostrils puffing out air before she took in the smell of the corpses. The horrid smell was almost indescribable, but she knew just from the smell the bodies were being tampered with. After listening to the people she assumed were called the alchemists she lightly sunk her teeth into lips. Ani was not about to let these dirtbags turn Noir, and her into guinea pigs for their experiments.

Ani watched as their enemy had stepped closer into their view so they could begin battle. Her crimson eyes beaded as she looked the captain up, and down. She felt bad for that poor captain, but at the moment Ani was angry with these men so she wanted to utterly destroy them. She nodded to what Noir said watching her going forth to attack the captain. She was bit surprised when she was pushed back, but she continued to watch. When Noir ordered her to attack she stepped forward so she was only ten meters away, and went to command Hoyo to attack, but before she could attack The captain flash stepped forward so he was right in front of Ani. Before she could react the captain swung his sword, and cut Ani's left arm a gash opening, and blood spilling out. "It'll take more then that to kill me!" She screamed with pure anger radiating in her voice as she pulled her right hand back to curl into a fist. She launched her fist into the chest of the captain, and after the damage Noir had already inflicted on him it took down the undead captain. "Now tell me why I shouldn't kill you." She said to the men her Arm dripping with blood, but her eyes only held rage towards the men who tried to harm her, and Noir.

Noir stared at the blue haired woman, slowly approaching her without fear and put her hand on Ani’s shoulder. With her sweet and soft voice, she spoke, “They are not here anymore, Miss Ani…” It was a bad situation for her, she almost lost control towards her own anger, but she managed to hold back somehow. But the effect turned to the Imuchakk female, she was drowned in her own rage, beating up the Undead Captain with her own fist, making the being became not an undead anymore… it was just dead. Without saying anything more, Noir tore a small fabric from her clothes and use it to stop the bleeding on Ani’s left arm. She would kneel down beside the Undead Captain’s dead body and started to examine it, wondering if she could find a clue about the magic used. But she found nothing and stopped searching, noting to find out more about The Alchemists in order to find out about this complex magic they used. “Let’s exit this cave…” She said to Ani while passing through beside her, making her way to exit. Interesting…

Ani stood there lost in her rage for a few minutes, but was soon brought back into reality by Noir's voice. She put her hands on her head, and saw Noir using fabric to make a bandage for her. "Thank you Noir." She said giving a soft nod while thinking to herself. This was really the first time she had ever used her strength to do this much damage. She clenched her fist for a moment before nodding to Noir. "Yeah, and hopefully whoever those guys are they get caught quickly." Ani said pulling her hair back, and tying it up into a ponytail. Once she was ready she motioned to Hoyo, and walked toward the exit while thinking to herself.
