Axel was out in the abandoned building inside of Helio that he turned into his personal training grounds. It was very early in the day and he was working up a sweat already as he was practicing his sword skills. Axel had actually thought about using a different weapon as he for the most part was skilled with a large number but he decided to stick with the sword. And since he decided to stick with just swords for the time being he thought about making new techniques. He started off his technique making with really simple things this technique that he was making was just a horizontal slash.
He figured that it could do a good amount of damage if done to the right person at the right place and time. And so for the next 3 hours all Axel did was practice this horizontal slash. The sounds of the blade cutting through the air could be heard along with the sound of Axel's sweat dropping to the ground, and him panting from doing this for hours. Over and over as he swung his sword Axel said Slashing Wounds. The more he swung the sword the louder it seemed like it became as it cut through the air. One may wonder why put so much work into such a simple technique? People can imagine a mage practicing a new spell this much by why would a master of the sword practice a simple horizontal cut like this? The answer was simple, because practice makes perfect.
